As a Gulf War U.S. ARMY Veteran; i really enjoyed this movie. Excellent special effects, military close order battle scenes, great tactical communication on search/rescue teams, and quick reaction forces. Well done to producer/director.
Whoever's the sound guy for this piece, you keep doing what you're doing. This is great. Finally military action film with realistic sounding suppressed rifles and SAW. You can even hear the links falling to the ground.
Thanks for noticing these details in the sound design! It took lots of work to have it come to life and it's great to hear that the hard work was noticed!
Empty Can Films wow this short is Hollywood big screen material!! How can you do these FX on a UA-cam budget? Great actors and camera work, obviously not amateur stuff. I subscribed and hit the bell and liked!!! Make more please!!!!!
23 years US Army 19Delta recon but I always really dug Air Force PJ's. They are the shit! Great short film showing just what makes these folks so dang special. 😉👍
I served 30 years in the US Military. 12 years Special Operations, 18 years in CSAR. This film was done extremely well. Looking in I have a few questions. 1. Where is the pilots vest? 2. How did that good guy ground team get there so fast. 3. How did their overwatch (sniper) get there? 4. A ground team would never give up his sidearm ever. 5. Once the team gets "hands on" they won't separate from him. He is the mission. Great job.
Why didn't the pilot re-arm himself immediately after being rescued? Surely, there were no shortage of weapons on the ground after the Special Operations guys wasted the enemy soilders? "I would've been like I'm taking this AK-47 here and three or four spare magazines. And where's my fuckin' pistol?"
Dude didn't give up his sidearm it was taken. Are you implying that he would have used that pistol against multiple targets with AKs in real life scenario versus giving it up ?
Aside from the aerial scenes which actually had a lot of discrepancies, this was a GREAT film!! The story, the lighting, the VFX, and even the acting, this is easily one of the best tactical shorts on youtube.
Great movie! It shows actual contact with an enemy, your opponent always has a say in what happens. The only way to make it through life and deaf on a battlefield like this is to tell yourself you are already dead and if you survive, that's a bonus! Thank God we have tough men willing to go to extremes to 9 line a downed pilot.

God damn this is good, those finishing shots, very realistic
Awesome, what a film¡¡¡ better than many movies...please make the sequel¡¡
Kudos for an EXCELLENT job on all fronts! Must find a way to make it into a full-featured film - beats 99% of big studio flicks out there hands-down.
I've never seen so many left-handed people in one spot before.
Seriously, this was actually pretty good. Keep it up guys!
Loved every bit of this film.. Hope there's a part 2👍👍
Very, very well done.
Wow the heavy engagement during the dark hours can be very confusing for all those involved, even with the NVG’s. When the Flying Bus was hit with the RPG round, that was eerily reminiscent to Lone Survivor, seeing your chance of getting out & your brothers all gone in a matter of seconds. Good Day Everyone!
I really enjoyed this short file. Great sound effects. Love the nighttime environment. I love the dedication to duty to save a single life.
Great job guys! Worth the wait hands down. Ready for the next one!
really appreciate the suppressed guns sounds. well done!
Well executed movie🇺🇸 Amazing considering it's only 16 minutes long. Hats off to the producers and the men that made it👍👍👍

Excellent movie. We want the sequel. This movie and Lone Survivor have the best suppressed rifle sounds I’ve heard in movies. Most realistic Great flick 👍🏼

Actully, very similar to the actual o'grady incident... good flik,,very realistic, almost too real... nice job
The trill and enjoyment of the film is severly imparted by the darkness.
Good camera angles, and editing works!
'Amazon' just kept delivering the ammo ! On the hour ! Brilliant !
And on Veteran's Day, I commend all those who have served, and currently are serving.
