  • Stephen talks you through a line-up with a GoPro camera on his head.
    Stephen has practiced clearing a lineup, "A million times..." and this time he's attached a GoPro camera to his head which clearly shows his point of view (POV) as he talks through his approach to a lineup.
    Stephen critiques his shots as he plays, offering advice throughout the line-up. This tutorial will give a unique perspective of Stephens's shot choice as well as his technical execution.

      @@DM-kv9kj Bull's eye on all points!
      The idea of making knowledge and ideas constantly and freely accessible unfortunately works against us when there are so many manipulative, power oriented, money grabbing idiots in the world. They come and push themselves onto the stage and then start spouting their disrespect and carelessness; saturating the human consciousness and drowning out anything genuine and sincere. Now even the most trusted souls are looked at with a new found doubt and the scammers are given so much rope that when it's tied round their necks, their feet are still on the ground!... What a waste.
      Extremely off topic but I felt like a bit of socializing would be nice :)

    I seen you do this live 20 years ago in Stirling during a practice (wont say the name of the club) but you signed my bus ticket and I still have it to this day. Always used to watch you practice in awe of how good you were. Really friendly to a 14 year old me as well. Top bloke and the greatest player of all time.

    Hi Stephen. As a recent subscriber, I must compliment you on the outstanding variety of snooker content you provide through this channel. Even as a non-player, I find it incredibly interesting to see exactly how a pro thinks at the table, and to enjoy your interactions with top players over a couple of good-natured frames. Your recent conversation with Shaun was absolutely brilliant. Watching your old matches has also been a treat. Cheers, and all the best in 2023.

      There is plenty in here as it is tbh, Not a lot he can say when he is just playing a plain ball red the same shot4/5 times early on

    • @ernoeskeli1139
      @ernoeskeli1139 2 роки тому +2

      Usually a snooker player is thinking about the next three balls before playing a shot. If I'm on a red, I'm obviously thinking about the red itself, and then the colour I want to play for and the red after that to decide what kind of an angle I need on the colour. It's redundant to have a strict plan that goes very far ahead because if you go even a touch out of position you will have to change it.

Was also very informative as well, how just getting out of position just once during a clearance can screw things up 2,3,4 shots down the line later.. Still a FRICKIN LEGEND Stephen, nobody can ever dispute that fact. I'd love to see you back out there, the way you just ran those balls off you could still be competetitive

Most of the time I lose position after potting about 4 or 5 reds with colours. I would take missing the last pink any day of the week if I was able to get that far in this routine. I for one would appreciate more and more content on cue ball control, some of which you have already covered, but since the most important aspect is to control where your cue ball will end up for the next shot, it would be incredibly valuable to cover this in all your videos! I can actually see in this video where I've been going wrong. When I set myself up for a shot I just pick an angle and hope I've judged it. With you I notice a very very slight rotation of the head. Your trained eye is automatically lining up the shot before you strike the cue ball. Really informative and I'll put this into practice

    Got right back into my snooker in recent times and have managed to clear a full line up 2 times so far since playing again. Great routine and there’s no better routine to improve your break building. Cheers Steve 👍

    Awesome,, just like that! 😄 I was surprised how little you deviate from centre of cue ball really, I ain't played in years now, but when I did I would hit to far to the edge to get side and same with top and bottom,, too much! That's why I sucked🤣
