Congratulations Paul, due to your excellent video making, I have just sat here for three minutes and 47 seconds watching a cement mixer turning over...What a strange world we live in...5*...Bob
Thank you, It is quite old but I don't know for sure. Im guessing its from around the early 1970's perhaps, so its around 37 years old.. possibly? Maybe somebody could tell me exactly. My lawn is not so cherished as it looks... many weeds keep popping up in it. :-)) Thanks for the nice comments.
Funny what you remember - It pains me to say it, but I now regret selling this mixer, it got packed away into a shipping container and sent out to Africa along with all sorts of other machinery I believe. damn shame now looking back.
I still have one left, my blue one as seen in another video, its just that this particular mixer was in great shape all round, quite literally. Yes I know its doing a job of work out in Africa, I just wish it wasn't abroad, and that I had not decided to sell it on, my cock up on that point..lol
Thanks Ian, I have too agree with you on that one, no electric one for me. These are brilliant, runs all day on next too no diesel. This is the familiar sound of a 1970's building site... Classic !! Thanks for watching. Paul :-)
Ha Ha... Your whats known as a captive audience in the trade. Great isn't it Bob, the daft things we do.... I wouldn't have made this had I been out working! :-)) Anyway more too the point Bob, thanks for being captivated and transfixed by my orange beauty. :-))
Thanks for the info, I dont use this very often at all. Just a play thing now. My other mixer is a Petter PAZ1 the blue one, its on YT in my older films being cold started... Thanks for watching. :-)
Fairly close, can be quite noisy some days depends which way the wind blows... Theres some activity going on close by also which the camera microphone seems to pick up.
No muffler on these Walter, just a straight through pipe... :-) nice and simple... ha ha Yes cranking one of these over can bring you out in a sweat, depending how quickly you can get it to fire up. Thanks for watching Walter.
Not half, these machines just rock on, you have to watch that starting handle though, can be a vicious thing if your not careful. The nanny state hasn't got too me just yet... ha ha
Hey Alberto, not so busy today, no driving so I got to play with the mixer.. ha ha. I know it needs new paint, I would love to restore it too its former beauty :-)) Thanks for watching.
I think on ebay the prices tend too get a little bit silly, some people will pay a fortune for nothing more than junk, literally!!. You just have to keep watching, because eventually something will turn up and at the right price...!! :-)
Thanks for the nice comments. Im the same with a washing machine when thats working, just realised I could make another video of our washer in action.... ha ha
Yes single cylinder engines, that run and go on forever... Im sure a mechanically minded Black Country lad could make that happen... ha ha :-) He who dares.... :-) Thanks for watching.
amazing.. I still use the same mixer. Brilliant engineering

Forget about Top Gear - this is where it's at!
i love those engines they never fail sound great and last forever nice video dude
How a proper mixer should sound. My electric one just sounds like a toy.
This reminds me that I must give my Vespa another go.
We had one like that. It didnt use any fuel because it only fired once every so often. Lol

Thanks Wayne, I was the stand in, George Clooney was busy washing his hair... LOL.
Brings back memories of when I used to be a hoddy. Had that sound in my head when I went home.

Very nice, an engine which may be termed, " a man's best friend " as it is loyal and faithful and always starts, if coaxed a little.
So very true!

Good engine!
How old this engine?
Look like good!
i could fall asleep to that sound
You could buy another one I always wanted to collect old mixers. I really liked the Winget mixers a good size drum now I'm being a nerd lol.

Awesome old one banger Paul. The muffler leaves a lot to be desired LOL 5* video, You got some excersize at the same time you were cranking it
Thank you. Its a good old stick...

well done, Paul! Nice vid. This machine looks quiet antique. How old is it?
Btw: I´ve seen a well cherished lawn in the background :o) Congrats!

Hard to get going! I'd love a small diesel engine. I've been looking at some on Ebay and I can't find any cheap ones.

The other good thing with yours is you can just tip it into a barrow. The silly legs I got with mine means at best it will only tip into a bucket :-(

No, but I have heard about this method of starting...
Must admit I did laugh at this one..Ha Ha Thanks for watching.
If its hard to start give it a couple of squirts of engine oil into the air intake to get the piston rings sealing and that ill get it going.
