    Wonderful! I was wanting to do this but watched a number of installation videos by men & they all had a terrible time installing it, lol. You gave me the confidence to try it!

    I’ve been looking at a shiplap pattern that runs in such a way that you have to roll it out horizontally. I haven’t even noticed this type.
    Style choice: I’ve heard that vertical lines or patterns make a low ceiling look taller (my apartment is only 7’ 4”). Otherwise, I like the look of horizontal run.

    Before starting this project I am absorbing as many tips, tricks, instructional vids as I can, lol, from what I have seen they say even with peel & stick to overlap the edges just a smidge, did you do that? Yours looks phenomenal! tfs, Laura

    How does it do in hot rooms? In the summer my room can be 80-85 degrees and I heard some people saying that it causes the wall paper to peel. Anyway to help with that?

    • @TheCrazyCraftLady
      @TheCrazyCraftLady  3 роки тому

      I haven't experienced that, and this upstairs room definitely hits 75-80 in the summer months. Not sure I can help if it does start to peel. I'm sure the adhesive is only suited for certain climate-controlled temperature and humidity ranges.

    I wish you would’ve shown how to get around outlets ☹️

  • @scottharden6810
    @scottharden6810 2 роки тому

    In this video and your kitchen backsplash tutorial, I did not see any instructions for cutting out for electrical outlets. Since peel and stick wallpaper stretches, long vertical panels would preclude measuring and cutting out for an outlet in advance. How do you accomplish this?

    • @TheCrazyCraftLady
      @TheCrazyCraftLady  2 роки тому

      Yep! I removed the outlet cover (turned off power to be extra careful). Smoothed the paper over the outlet (or light switch), and then carefully trimmed around the outlet with my PenBlade. Re-attach the outlet cover, and you're in business.

    Do you wall paper behind the fridge and stove?

    • @sarahcurrence7642
      @sarahcurrence7642 3 роки тому

      That's really just a personal preference. I've seen it done both ways. Well actually I've seen it done a bunch of different ways. My response would be cover all your main points of interest first. Especially if your trying to stretch one roll. If you have enough left over or it's going to drive you crazy not having the unseen spots bare. Go for it!!

    I get how to apply the paper around more square things like electrical outlets, but the wall I want to paper has a sprinkler on it, which has a round base. I’m not sure how I’m going to do that part. Any suggestions? I’m not sure yet if there is any way to move the base out of the way at all, to lay the paper down underneath where the base will sit (in a similar way that you would remove outlet covers and paper underneath them). Thanks!

    Will this work for textured walls? It's been very debatable in between all the youtube videos I have watched.

    • @TheCrazyCraftLady

      I don't think so. I have only had success on smooth walls. Sorry!

    • @virgohottie7018

      Just tried it in my bedroom with textured walls. It “works” but I think it’s more susceptible to air bubbles when applying because you can’t get it perfectly smooth. Looks good far away but up close you can kind of see. It’s not horrible 8/10

    Just a tip, most of these wallpaper will rip the paint behind and expose drywall…. Use a heat gun or blow dryer to heat glue behind if you need to pull up.

    • @bosta84
      @bosta84 Рік тому

      ^^^ This is NOT true in my experience. If you purchase a quality product, it will not rip the paint.

    I am thinking of tackling this next weekend and trying to get all the help I can. Did you overlap the wallpaper or just but it up to the edge as much as possible? I have never dealt with wall paper before so I am excited but also fairly nervous! Also your opinion, how do you think this would hold in a bathroom with moisture from the shower and such?!

    • @TheCrazyCraftLady
      @TheCrazyCraftLady  4 роки тому +1

      No overlap... just get your seams to line up and you should be good. Good luck!!
