Your so lucky you have your dad with you! Great memories that in later years you will appreciate!❤️
Yep, dad's being part of great experiences are unsurpassed!
Your father should be so damn proud. Your relationship is heartwarming! Your lucky to have a boat dad!!!
I'm in a position where I watch and see people who grow and go far in life, it's my job. I would bet almost everything I've made over my career for the past 34 years that by the time you are 40 you'll be a multimillionaire. There are not very many kids like you out there anymore, your parents should be proud. Keep up the same attitude, it's going to make you very wealthy.
Bro, thats the American dream right there. Nothing says America more than riding on a beautiful yacht with your dad and doing things that most of us drem of. Great content.
Keep up the great vids. I wish more young men were as industrious and worked as hard as you. Enjoy the spoils you have earned. Props to your folks as well. Stay safe ! 🇺🇸
Wow, best video I ve viewed in a while. I lost my dad in 2021. In the 90,s and early 2000's we restored an old Chris Craft and cruised Lake Erie a bunch, brought all that back. Enjoy!! You ve earned it!!!
Gus you are a truely inspirational young man, your video series should be a mandatory watch for all young people stepping out into the world. Enjoy the fruits of your hard work and get after it attitude, much deserved💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
With enough barrels of fuel on deck, and some good weather equipment, I would say it's surely possible but not the ideal boat to cross oceans with. Thanks for watching! 😀
@@InTooDeepBro agreed! When I get my boat. I'll buddy boat with you across any body of water, Gus!
I'm a sailor, and you're the only NON SAILING Vlog I watch. Love, love, your passion! ❤
making memories with dad n good friends, love to see people really alive with no fear. your big score with great engines is the proof u r livin right
At 52, i guess im about 25 years older than you. Im a fellow boater also in Florida and as someone that has really enjoyed your videos, I can tell you that life doesn't get any better than what you're doing right here in this series. Enjoy my friend, see you out on the water.
That was the First Time From anybody's Boat Channel ,that I Saw the Anchor pulled up by the Winless ! Very cool !
It's great that your dad comes along with you. That time together is gold
Gus - you are now "the big boat"
Your doing it right brother .....keep going!
I have to say you have a great set of skills for redoing the boats. Looks like your whole life experience has set you up well. 👍
Fort Myers native here, I kept yelling Caloosahatchee when toy guys were saying Okeechobee canal. Great video, cool to see you do one of my favorite trips.
Fkn CUMMINS 💪 That boat will beast 18 knots without batting an eyelash. What a spectacular journey. and with your dad. incredible memories to have.
What a beautiful sunrise!!!holy smokes!!Love your videos !you’re a superstar👍🐣👍 happy Easter!
Lake Okeechobee is no joke. Kicked my ass. Had a 25' Macgregor sailboat. 25mph wind and 6 ft waves. I'd do it again. Its a nice trip everyone should do.
I think that your future adventures will be legendary. Please keep recording your exploits and have smooth sailing where ever you venture.
Oh my gawd I'M READY TO PUKE! I ran around in a channel in Hingham Massachusetts - I had only taken the wheel 5 SECONDS and BOOM 💥 thank God I have a really nice husband! F'd both props and then some...... miss that 40' Silverton - I have really been enjoying watching your entire journey from #1 video! And now a 50' Hat uggh just awesome!
HELL YEAH!!!!!! The girls are back!!!! Gus your a bad ass my brotha!
Thank you gus for sharing youre nice life with us😊
greetsz from holland...max...
wow with it sped up like that it was like driving on a interstate lol crazy
What a special moment in time. Congrats on your awesome boat. It seems like you basically re-built it on your own. You are an excellent role model for young men everywhere.
What a sweet boat dude. I am super impressed with all the skills you have but probably most of all your captaining skills. It looks like the boat has side thrusters you are moving it so well. good job brother.
😂 your like a ten legged man in a ass kicking contest! You got this! 🤟
😅Gus,love the relationship between you and your dad ! I lost my dad at 60 yo so it’s such a gift to see You two having such irreplaceable moments in your lives. Your quite an inspiration to many younger people people out there and no doubt you make your parents quite proud. One other thing ! Excellent choices of music
AWSOME JOB..
Not many 20 something year olds can say they own a 50’ Hatteras motor yacht. On your trip down last year you probably stopped in New Bern NC, home of Hatteras boats
I must take a minute and tell you I am 69 years old and you have the best videos, your narration is spot on, your voice is great. and you do captain a boat with skill and class. I spent alot of time on the water in much smaller boats, but roamed the ocean. Be safe and I look for the next adventure!
The dingy does not look bad up on top there. A good use of that space. I would not put a jet ski up there, I know you repaired it but I would not chance that much weight up there. The dingy is fine. You have done a nice job on the boat so far and I look forward to seeing you continue working on it. Hatteras makes some VERY nice boats and has nice wood work on them. I have thought about a live aboard myself but I would probably go with a 35 foot boat or so. 50 is a big boat. More space and everything, but big to maneuver around and more expense for docking and stuff. Keep up the great work and safe boating!!!
I live in southwest florida and it was great to take a virtual trip with you west to east. Thank you for posting this. Your skills as a mechanic are very impressive.
Nice trip
God, I love my State!.. well done video... good luck with the final punch out work, glad you scored that Hattie!
Another great video budroe. Really enjoy watching your saga. From a 74 year old Dad, it's great you were able to share that time with your Dad & that you are doing this at a great stage in your life. What you have done the past few years WILL guide the rest of your life.
I have made that trip in both directions in a powerboat when we stayed in Stuart for a month in a condo on the St. Luce. Stuart is a well kept boaters secret on the east side of FL. All the snow birds wanna be on the west side. You can stay twice as long in the Stuart/Ft. Pierce area only stones throw from Jupiter and West Palm Beach. Love what you are accomplishing.
Great episode, Gus! Keep rolling and stay safe! 👍👍 Great to see some of the places i have been down through the years.. Some are looking a lot more grown up than when i was there but good to see them all the same.. 👍👍
This trip brings back so many memories. When we moved our boat from St. Pete, to Stuart, Fl on the Okeechobee and had an amazing time. This was the last time dad was on the boat before we lost him. These memories are precious and you should always cherish them. Now, the sappy stuff is out of the way. You're following the same footsteps we have and it is a wonderful way to spend time ( and copious $$$$). Keep up the good work !
I love your videos. I lost a vacation home in Ft Myers after Hurricane Ian. It has always been a desire of mine to cross Florida on the waterway. I have even visited the W.P. Franklin locks by car to see what they looked like up close. I live vicariously through you. You are an inspiration. You are living your best life. Congratulations! Can't wait for the next video.
Really happy for you. Your excitement is great. I’ve been a livaboard for 21 years on a 43’ Searay. Still loving it.
Been watching your videos and I am very impressed with your knowledge and skills. Like you I have a background in aviation but I perused a different path. I enjoy your videos. Keep em coming!
Man that was neat voyage with your Dad and at the end glad you got to enjoy New Years Eve with your friends. The hard work has paid off!
You are living my dream good luck to you
She is a lovely boat so comfortable and spacious with all that lovely crafted woodwork and those two CUMMINS engines. There will be lot's of work to be done until she is the way you want her,but she will be well worth it.Enjoy her and sailing her.Well done nice to share these times with your dad.
That’s the Life of a Millionaire… absolutely seething with Jealousy. Phenomenal Vessel Buddy. Pure classy. Excellent Piloting through sketchy Waters.
Another awesome video! Those views were amazing. As an amateur radio operator, I can't help but imagine how fun it would be operating out on the water!
Native Floridian and my dumb whatever just found out there was an Okeechobee Waterway. TOO COOL!!
So many boats. 😮😮😮Some look lije just barely missing you.
Coral Gables 🌴🇺🇸 Happy Easter 🐣 🏄
What a great video! Can't believe you were able to resurrect the Hatteras into fine operating condition in just a couple of weeks. Amazing. Loved seeing the scenery of the Okeechobee crossing -- I did it years ago both ways on a Pro-Line 32.Very rural and scenic. When you anchored did you run a generator? I probably saw you as you left the St. Lucie River and entered the ICW in Stuart -- what you called a "crazy intersection" -- I live right there on the corner. It is so busy the intersection is called the Crossroads. Congratulations on the Hatteras and the trip. A lot of work but it paid off. You were smart and lucky to buy an old Hatteras -- they were built bulletproof and with good access and high-quality systems.
I'm really happy for you! Best of luck with your new boat! It's a beauty!
ALL RIGHT! Nice to see everything coming along!
I’m enjoying your channel, it’s nice that you get to experience your journey with your Dad. I grew up without mine but at 27 I reconnected with him. He is now retired but was a salmon fisherman on the west coast. He had a 55’ double-ender fishing boat built in 1939. I had the opportunity to go out fishing with him several times and those are some of my fondest memories. Enjoy your time together! We’ll be subscribing and following along!
That reflection shot in the morning at the lock, was totally awesome, Captian.
My Dad got too old for us to share anything like this. You are lucky to have this time together.
THIS IS WHERE I LIVE!!!! Cape Coral actually, BUT you drove right by my house!!!!!!!
verry verry verry nice ship btw😁😊
boat vibes sent me, great content! Binged watch your 3 most recent videos! 15:18 what a view!
Keep it real buddy. Big fan wishing you the best.
15:30 mother earth creates the most incredible master pieces when she wants to! 😊
I really love your video's! They are fun and I learn a lot from them... Keep them comming.
Lived just east of Ortona lock for 10 years. Back in mi now but sure do miss the boats.
Fabulous, thank you for taking us along on your journey. You should invite MAV and 2Vintage YT channels down for a ride in the Winter Months
Solo from here to Boca, I am guessing not for long. Friends and relatives you've never met, subscribers, and groups of young women
good to see you having fun two of my 160-foot super yachts are in the Gulf of Aden on patrol and my baby is going in to dry for a 6 mill refit we have to build an AMO room on her and we are going to be beefing up the ball for ramming
livin a dream my young new interweb friend lol love the content!
The Father and Son Bond is priceless!!!! Congratulations on the boat! 2 thumbs up,for your hard work, and best of luck on your future voyages.🎉 Cheers from Canada!!!!!
I envy you. What a great way to live your life and spend time with your father!
Good on ya man!
What a fantastic boat she is. Great to get to spend so much time chilling out with your dad too.
Nice... hope to see you soon!!
Awesome yacht you got, congrats!
Wonderful by your own ability and effort!
Love from Sweden!!!!!
UA-cam just popped this up, first time here. A worthy recommendation too.
Love your channel man we should’ve known you were in the Port Charlotte area I live in North Cape Coral would’ve love to pitch in and give you a helping hand only one thing I need to correct my friend it’s the caloosahahie river and not the Okeechobee river
It is just amazing at how many great things have happened to you in a short time! Really enjoying watching your adventures in your beautiful Hatteras yacht!
Been waiting on this to drop! Let's get it!
That really is an awesome boat. You are livin' the life.
I love your video. We did the exact trip when we bought our boat in Ft. Myers. Years later we renovated 2 other boats. Great adventure
Your videos have been amazing. Would love to have a trip like that. Well, we can all wish. Horrible to see so many boats damaged beyond repair. Must take ages to clear. Anyway get back to your video it has been really interesting Had a great journey.😊😊
Excellent Dad Son combo!
This is bitter sweet. I lived on my trawler on Manasota Key; not 15 miles from where your new boat fell off it’s stands during the same hurricane (Ian), but mine sank in the marina. Insurance refused to cover it so far; nearly 2 years later. I’m 75
Out of the two ways to get across the Lake, I like the outside one where you see the wildlife.
Wow! What a beautiful sunrise. I love the videos and seeing the great job you did on your boat. Enjoy it! You deserve it!!!
Have a Happy Easter!!!🙌🤙
I've never been on a boat like this, of should I say floating motor home! Way cool, I can only dream of such a thing, so envious of you!! And it has gotta be nice and amazing having such a great Father to come along with you and help you! Great videos wish you would post more often. Also, that sunrise was soooooo amazing
Like the way you fixed up your 50 ft boat made by Haddaress
You've got a super work ethic mate, keep it up and the world is your oyster, stay humble, enjoy all the little wins and keep the content coming.
Cheers from Australia.
Great job brother
Your a lucky man to have Dad and boat enjoy time in life is short!!?
Hey. I'm new. Awesome trip. Had a bud in W. Palm. Would take a load down there(owner op. trucker), then we'd head out fishin', divin' or drop down to the keys. That is one Mega Jumbo bow pulpit; I love it.
I hope y'all have a safe and Blessed trip.
Livin the life Gus!!!
just plain cool. You are an inspiration.
should do a video on maneuvering a boat that size. i'm looking at a 50' hattaras myself.
I brought a 58 Hatteras through Okeechobee last week. the lake was at 7 feet with no real channel markers. Couldn't take the rim at 5 feet. Everyone was warning us about rocks. Talk about anxiety
17:30 almost looked fake. When it sped up the video was so clear. That was the nicest sunrise I think I ever seen. WoW
Amazing morning view
Your are
Living my dream! I would love for nothing more than to make that trip with my dad!
Well, if your dad can’t make a trip and you need a 1st mate….. I am offering up my services 😎
Penguins use a rock to impress the chicks so a guy with a Hatteras Motoryacht should be able to attract a nice mate after you make the bed and do a few more improvements. It will be interesting to see where this all takes you.
Great catch-up . Looks like a party at the end.🎉
Made the trip a bunch of times in a 18’ Jon Boat with a 60 hp Yamaha all welded MV hull got the one without the center seat and had room for a one man tent for overnights Most times I would just go up and back on the weekends but went all way two Stuart twice
