I thought that was what China wanted when Xi signed an unlimited partnership with Russia. To kick American companies out so China can invade Taiwan. It's the same attitude north Korea displayed when the US threatened to withdraw aid. Kim started shooting missiles once the aid was cut off. China is using the same playbook, acting out. The only difference is, north Korea didn't have investors and nothing instills investors' confidence better than China beating its war drums.

1 million restaurants closed. That is a staggering number. It's hard to fathom a number this large. This Self-inflicted pain, from the 3 yr covid lock down,to the government running off foreign investments & destroying tourism, it's shocking and I can't help but wonder,is there a motive behind destroying yourselves? Is there a plan, or is this something like the "Great leap forward" yet that was a great failure.

National economies can always decline. The difference between Europe and China is their systems for making the hard decisions needed to recover and restructure For China they are purely political. It is disappointing, depressing and sad that the great country of China with such a spectacular history and culture and although I've never been there, and would love to go there, looks magnificent, is being strangled by their government. What a waste. I would like to see what would happen if those people were free.

It’s like a musical chair. Before China became the economic hub, it was the USA snd Europe who were on top of the world. China became a major manufacturing hub in the late 1970s to early 1980s, after they reformed their economy. Lots of companies and investors moved to China and left the US and Europe, which leads to joblessness and homelessness in both continents.
Unfortunately the pandemic struck and China lost its crown as the global economic hub. Companies and investors left, some went to India, some to ASEAN countries and Africa. Now China’s economy is sinking just lihd thd USA and Europe. Another chair is removed from the musical chairs. Who is going to take over the crown? Maybe India?

You dont have to embolden your claims. Enough of china is going the wrong way, but when you show a video of the fountain not on (okay) but then there are 25 cars parked in front of the hotel and you say it looks abandoned just doesn't fit. You dont need to change the facts to fit the narrative you are trying to tell. You can do better.
