"It takes one to know one" got me right there! So true. I belive that Wayne (or it might've been Wax) ate "a greasy burrito" or something like that. CHOUTA!!! There is at least one Herdazian in Scadrial!
Silly Steve. Worried that there won't be enough secrets. There's always another secret. In my head canon, Allriandre or one of her descendants adopts the surname Wayne, and eventually Bruce Wayne is born introducing Batman to the Cosmere.
Have you noticed that alloys of the god Metals can create "A different set of sixteen each"? Its on the ars arcanum. That means there are 31 more powers to discover (One should be the Malatium of the first mistborn novel)
I think that duralumin is the "Lost metal", because when mistborn stopped appearing, it went from one of the best Allomancy metals to uselessness. But then Hemalurgy brought it back. Speaking of which, how did the Set find a duralumin misting to turn into a spike?
@@lonsunocook my current bet is they used that experimental version of Hemalurgy to create a duralumin spike without a duralumin misting, but I don't think they're that advanced with experimental Hemalurgy yet.
I think you could still give a duralumin misting metal to burn and they would recognize that and be able to, but it wouldn't do anything. Finding a duralumin misting would just mean giving a bit of the metal to people in the right bloodlines. Or, like they've said above, hemalurgic compounding of spikes.

I'm glad I can watch videos that break down the connection. I couldn't finish the second book in this series because of a single main character in the series.
something I learned recently about number base systems (i.e. base-10, base-12, base-16) is that the number system based on the steel alphabet would actually be classified as base-17 due to the number "16" getting its own symbol in the "ones" position
6:18 I need to know what that book/thing is. I dont think I've read it. Also, could the ghostbloods NOT be those specific people who we saw like, 800yrs ago?
You can request it on the 17th Shard website! And there's no more than 10 years separating the Ghostbloods of Roshar with the ones we meet on Scadrial.
A bit spoiler.... thanks for clearing up the whole atium/lerasium trace creation if friggin harmony wasn't also going through some kind of split. I'm too smooth brained to figure that out - was thinking somehow that wax had found away around it considering that harmony is still a thing; not that there must be some kind of rift/division in process. This is compounded with Saze or i forget whom seeing another entity with harmony... ruin splitting off? something new? Fun stuff. great book. great video!
Hello. My I ask you about Spook? I sure he is alive somere in cosmere(he is mistborn, so atium spike is only think he need). But we didn't saw him in ages...so I'm not sure. We know he ,,left'' after a 100years of ruling but what that mean? Where is my old 1 era lord of flames?
Back again with more System Order questions. In the description you said it’s throwing the whole thing for a loop, and as of today I just started Shadows for Silence. That being said, as I make my way back into Scadriel, will I be better off holding off on Lost Metal until after Warbreaker, or even partway through the Stormlight Archives like you mentioned with Tress and the other SP coming at the end? Forgive me if you already clarified this but my memory is bad and I can’t go back and look at your reply mid type of this, but when the last secret project is out, is your plan to rework the entirety of the System Order, or just where those four books go?
Ok, I just went back and read it again about whole new reading order after fourth project. ADHD memory makes life so easy. But I am still curious about Lost Metal specifically if I should hold out, or just dive into it as I proceed in the current reading order
I have significantly reworked my reading order at this point, because Lost Metal I think should be near the end but it would be weird to split it with Stormlight, so I've moved the entirety of Mistborn Era 2 to after Rhythm of War. Ultimately though, I think you'd be fine to continue on with Era 2. The connections aren't story breakingly big, especially with Warbreaker. You'll honestly catch most of them if you've finished Elantris and Emperor's Soul. The best order to read the Cosmere is the order you do.
So I feel a lot like the main antagonist here and in Elantris are basically the same thing. All about structure and ambition all at the same time all about the strongest is leader. It just feels very similar.
Listening to someone go through Elantris on a podcast recently and like breaking stuff down just after I had finished up Lost Metal and man did it sound similar. Just gonna say it seems crazy for the first book to linkup but I am not putting stuff like that past Sanderson to do.
Hoid was the reason Shai was imprisoned in Emperor's Soul. He was the Imperial Fool. www.brandonsanderson.com/the-emperors-soul-deleted-prologue-imperial-fool/

It's not a matter of Kel catching the lie, it's a given he does. It's that he trusts Saze less and less as a result of him doing it, and his observation that the out of character behavior shows his Intention making him less and less himself.

It feels a little more significant to me. Not just the fixing of an oopsie, but fully added flavor to a minor character.
