As an artist with ADHD, I really struggle with organizing my time and day especially in a creative arena. I tend to judge too soon, or wait too long to be inspired. This video was SO helpful for me! Thank you so so much for sharing!

Your mini painting process is fascinating. I’m a new watercolor painter and I go through lots of expensive paper to get to a painting I like. So I will use the minis exercise from now on. Thank you!

I'm a full time violinist but I find this very helpful. I've been struggling with practice lately. I have really great days/weeks and then suddenly I'm just completely uninspired. It sounds like you have a very sustainable routine in terms of creating your pieces. As a musician, I practice many pieces at a time and it's hard to not get overwhelmed by all the work I have to do so I really appreciate your input on building things gradually, letting it breathe, and doing as much as you can - not as much as you want. I def pushed myself on days where it just didn't flow and another perspective was probably needed. I think that was the key take away for me. Thank you so much!

Thank you for this. Every single thing you said is also true for me… I feel like creating is a lifetime practice that is a long and winding road. Whenever I think I have a system or have figured out a process to walk it, inspiration promptly nudges me out of my comfort zone. 🌚

You left out staring blankly at the wall for a good half hour. Kidding aside, another terrific and insightful video. Like the looks of your fountain pen, what model is it? I've been researching them, but there's so many choices out there that I still haven't made a decision.

Ha, too true. Been sitting staring blankly at a screen for a good while today. It’s a Platinum Carbon fine (or maybe extra fine) nib, THE BEST. Cannot sing it’s praises enough, pretty cheap too and gettable on Amazon Prime.

I always love your videos! And your studio and garden are beautiful. As well as your art of course. I love that your art is so varied. I too love all kinds of different art. It’s hard for me to settle on one type so now I don’t! Lol. How did u get interested in modern art? Hugs Jess

Aw, thank you Deb! I have always loved modern art. I am really drawn to things that don’t close the loop I think and are open to interpretation. In terms of creating modern art (which is technically contemporary art in my case I guess) I started at the same time as I quit my job and started this channel. I didn’t plan to become “an artist” (as opposed to an illustrator) it just sort of organically happened overtime. ☺️ I love both but the art side pays the bills and feeds Pierre.

I can't seem to work on several pieces at a time. I can only seem to obsess over one piece until it's finished and then not touch art supplies for months afterwards.

At what time do you take orders, on which days and when do you stop taking them too? Also, when do you get all the orders done
