A Day in the Life of an Artist!/ Monet Cafe' SPECIAL PRESENTATION

  • This is a special behind-the-scenes presentation of a typical day for many artists. Often the world sees the final painting, or in my case, the final video... but often many are not aware of all of the work that goes into making it all come together.
    I hope you enjoy this video that was inspired and encouraged by my daughter-in-law, Lorena, who decided to follow me around and film me on a fairly typical day in my artistic life.
    There are also lots of behind-the-scenes techniques and tips that I think many artists will find helpful.
    Enjoy and please like, comment and subscribe! Happy painting!
    Camera Credit: a special thank you to my oldest son, Jarrod, for the drone footage at the beginning and ending of the video. The cows were a little nervous with the drone though... ha ha.

    You hear many say be the light you wish to be. Well sweet beautiful soul you are the light, thank you so much for all that you do and all that you share. I love this video as I do all of your videos. One of these days I’m going to quit making excuses and do what I so passionately want to do. I have the room set up I have plenty of supplies however I shake so much when I go in there with the intention to paint..... One day...🤗😘🤗

    Thank you so much for this video. I love watching other artist in their everyday routine. It helps me feel that I can do it as a 55 year old artist. And I love to see how you store your work. I work in a small spare bedroom and it gives me inspiration to keep going and not give up because of my limited space.

    It's great to see the "off camera" side of an artist's working day. I knew there was a lot of work involved, but some of use don't realise how much. Well done to your daughter-in-law for the idea and the recording. I would like to see her filming you when working on a picture. Sort of behind the camera behind the camera, if you get get my drift.

    Great vid, Susan! Can totally relate. We have a rural property and my partner works in town from dark to dark, so I do my fulltime ceramics/art business from my garden studio as well as doing all the upkeep on the property/household. Every day is long and busy and I don't think people really understand just how so haha. Most comments are in the vein of "oh I wish I could stay home and do art all day".. 😂 if only it was just that. 💗

      To be frank no one tells where you should work more without looking at painting
      It's only the wisest who've made herself through hours of practice and study
      No one put tutorials telling about the details in depth because artists think that one would already know the fact Nd think this is silly

    • @monetcafe
      @monetcafe  4 роки тому +1

      That’s actually really great question. When I don’t cut the paper I have the flexibility to paint outside the line so to speak if I choose to increase the size of the painting. Also, sometimes I make marks of each pastel next to a painting so that my audience can see the color choices. And then sometimes, I’m just lazy and cut the paper later. Ha ha!
