American exceptionalism probably has more to do with it. Many Muslims in the UK have a very good standard of living. They are upwardly mobile in all the professions and have very well established businesses. Muslims are also very active in government and politics, much more so than the US. Also the masaajid in the UK are very well established and very active in a host of educational and community development activities. I find it surprising that American Muslim scholars who regularly visit the UK can be so shortsighted about the Muslim community in Britain, which is so active and vibrant.
I have a love hate relationship with noman Ali khan. I remember I used to train hard, and this guy did a lecture about making muscles? is that what you live for. Now he's training. He talks about American Muslims as if they are so advanced but I'm gonna be real the majority of them are American first Islam 2nd. Yes Americans have really good scholars but still he talks of America as this great place and when I go there the racial tension is on another level. And also sometimes he says Quranic interpretation that for a layman like me couldn't agree with but I thought ok he's knowledgeable then I see so many people correct him time and time again. I do like him but at the same time I don't take his views as the gold standard, also I expected more from the blood brother podcast. You guys literally gave him the bubble wrap treatment ask him the questions you are known for. Even you guys took the knee for him. Is there any major US scholar calling for Jihad against Israel or calling LGBTQ disgusting? We have plenty of those scholars in the UK notably Shaykh Asrar. American Muslims seem more far more tolerant of haram and kufr than the Muslims of the UK. The Islam in the UK more closely resemble traditional islam of the muslim lands.
Assalamualaikum This is the first time I have heard a scholar say he does not believe that certain verses were abrogated. I am trying to understand the meaning of the following verse #106 in Surah Al Baqarah; "Whatever a Verse (revelation) do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring a better one or similar to it. Know you not that Allâh is able to do all things?"
He's not a scholar, he's a self trained daeeh that does not care about aqeedah or the understanding of the Salaf. Aisha رضي الله عنها clearly stated in Sahih Bukhari that a certain verse was abrogated. If we follow the likes of nak, it would be as if we consider Aisha رضي الله عنها less knowledgeable and infact a liar. Astaghfirullah
The fact that he puts forward the idea that the US community is years ahead of the UK is laughable… in the US are years agead of keeping only the symbols of Islam, but they lost it’s essence decades ago, while the UK keeps on being a stronghold of traditional Islam and Islamic values
I agree with him what he was saying though that in America everyone is American Iam from UK and in UK but my mum is from France I understand French an Imam who was in France he was saying as well that nationalism is haram and if your born and grew up in France you are just French really but Muslims in France will say that they are Moroccan or Algerian and in England as well people say they Pakistani or Tunisian or Algerian they just liars they just Europpean really and nothing else really
@@AdamKhan-f9i That’s because in the US, with the exception of Native Americans, everybody else is or descends from immigrants, who adopted this new “American” identity. In Europe every single country has their native people, and muslims refuse to identify themselves with their nee home, and in a lot of instances, the country they themselves were born in, but rather they still see themselves as from where their ancestors came from. I am a Spanish revert and I am extremely proud of my Islam, as I am of my heritage. Now, that’s one thing, but it’s a completely different story to derive from their societal cohesion that somehow Islam is better and stronger in the US, when the whole Islamic West looks in horror and disbelief at the statements that come from the US muslim leaders, which many a time border Kufr. The UK is the stronghold of Islam in the West, that’s why I moved from Spain to the UK. And anybody who implies that the US somehow is a better place for muslims lives in lalaland🤷🏻♂️
@@MuhammadVilchezEverybody is immigrants though even the native people of Europe and nationalism is not allowed in Islam if your born in Europe your just European really your not Algerian or Pakistan Algeria Pakistan is not your home its just somewhere where you go for holidays its hypocrisy nationalism
@@AdamKhan-f9i It’s this retarded idea that you can’t call yourself British or European because Europeans are white and not muslims🤦🏻♂️ Everybody is going to have a certain attachment to their ancestral homeland, but for Muslims born and raised in the west, identifying yourself with “backhome” wherever that is, only serves to alienate us from the general population. But that has nothing to do with how strong Islam is in a certain country.
I thought it was interesting about what he said about American Muslims. It could be because America is so vast everyone is spread out, everyone is an immigrant and there aren’t many indigenous Americans left. But here we are all like sardines all rubbing each other up the wrong way, lots of friction, depressing weather, people complaining all the time. And most importantly we live with the actual indigenous majority who often remind us we are not from here. Still the UK a great place to live for Muslims but we have our problems.
Think he was just talking about size, scale and the concentration of their community to one place. And also the financial power of their community to grow it.
Dont forget, everyone is an immigrant at some point in the US - the indigenous Indian American are no more. As for the Uk and other ex empires, they cant colonise countries for centuries, cause wars, sponsored genocide and expect nothing to hit them back. Sorry
@18:05 I guess the deep of appreciation of the Quranic miracles depends on the depth of knowledge of the reader...of course, the appreciation a scientist will have for the scientific miracles of the Quran will be far more than that of a historian and vice versa...I think that's why it is important for Quran students to also study other subjects alongside as they help increase the appreciation of Quran miracles

Ok seriously people who are arguing in comments about UK and US , like seriously people this is what is dividing you "I am better thn u",noone wants you to prove, just focus on ur areas of improvement n work on them, instead of making argument winning the whole purpose of ur life. Focus on the purpose not the nationalities, make purpose ur identity not ur ethnicity ,let the deeds speak for u, not u speaking for ur deeds.
even some the sisters nowadays they want an ex bad boy they say oh he got some tattoos but now he is repented mashallah and when the ex bad boy leaves her and goes back to his past she spends her nights crying
30 years ahead in what sense? American Muslims have 0 influence on the politics in America. They might have Muslim docs engineers but the UK also has a lot of docs lawyers, as well as mps councillors mayor's which the US doesn't have. They have some big very beautiful mosques and a lot less sectarianism but the UK has a lot more Muslim populated areas where one will find halal food masjids etc. As for walking into a coffee shop and no one caring what background you are. That's the case in UK urban areas too. In smaller less diverse areas it's more of an issue which is also the case in America. Living in nice areas in a bubble is similar to living in a ghetto in a bubble. One becomes too proud of their country because they're living the high life and the other becomes too proud of their nationality culture because they're living in a bubble in their country.
you said there have nice mosques in America I dont know I havent been there iam from UK but probably in America for Friday gatherings they probably have just one gathering per city probably whereas UK there is lots of mosques in small area so muslims do divide themselves in Uk
Uk is a small island as well and it is tiny compared to America and Muslims they always arguing with each other in the UK there is something called speakers corner as well all there people Muslims arguing with one another me as someone from UK and born in UK iam ashamed to see this
So I’m from slough in uk but now live in USA. Nouman is right, as a Muslim here I’ve never had any issues whatsoever. Granted i do live in dc and it’s very diverse. The difficulties may come soon if there was mass Muslim migration here and the z1onist media use it against us, like they do with Mexicans But 99% of the time Muslims have no issue here in USA, he is correct
I've lived in d.c and the Muslim community there haven't a clue about the world. Virginia Fairfax etc literally dry place. Yes Slough is cultural but they have a connection with the home land. But d.c is so dead. On top of that all you do is work and that's about it.
Such an easy interview lol. No mention about his blunders including saying to sisters regarding husbands wealth "my money is mine, his my husband's money is mine as well". Smh
Stop spreading hate. Maybe you don't know what is Advised by Allah about Exposing and judging others on Their Sins. You are no one to Call him Anything based on his Sins.
@ it’s pretty complicated subject you need a scholar to teach you that and show you the evidence from the Quran of the sunnah, but from what I know, naskh, or abrogation in the Quran primarily concerning commands and prohibitions applies only to legal rulings and moral guidance, not to miracles or signs (ayat) that affirm GOD existence. (2:106) Any revelation We cause to be superseded or forgotten, We replace with something better or similar. Do you [Prophet] not know that God has power over everything? (16:101) When We substitute one revelation for another- and God knows best what He reveals- they say, ‘You are just making it up,’ but most of them have no knowledge. And from the hadith (Sahih Muslim 1406) And an example from the sunnah O people, I had permitted you to contract temporary marriage with women, but Allah has forbidden it (now) until the Day of Resurrection. So he who has any (woman with this type of marriage contract) he should let her off, and do not take back anything you have given to them (as dower).
I Dore and Appreciated The Sincere Teachings of Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan...However I Disagree Many Of His Views...May ALLAH Almighty Guide Us All To The Solid Teuth and Realities🤲🏽❤️
Brother Nouman Ali Khan inspired me to start with the morning azkar and evening azkar for the time. Before that i didn't even knew about morning and evening azkar. My love for Quran also increased because of him. May Allah swt reward him and protect him from the evil eye and the evils in the form of humans. Ameen.
Jzk for this. Quick comment though, nak usually gives linguistic definition, figuritive, etc But what about the verses that Rasulullah s and sahaba r endorsed, established, implemented- such as treaties, hudood, etc etc Quran cant be seperate from the ahadith, fiqh, usool, seerah, etc They all go hand in hand. Thats when we get to appreciate living islam rather then just theoretical appreciations. I'm definately sure that quran has given a law or system to be implemented to protect falistin, rohingya, uighuyr, kashmir, shaam, khurasan, etc Allah swt give this noble ummah to implement and establish every hukum of Allah and Rasulullah s. Allahumma ameen thumma ameen ya rabbil alameen
But the solidarity of all our people here in the UK Muslim and non Muslim black white brown and in between it gives us heart even in this terror and one of the biggest things for me its the Palestinians that are teaching us our religion they got faith even amogst all this brutality they call on Allah alone because who else have they got left the Muslim leaders are asleep
I don't think a lot of British Muslims realize that white British culture and white American culture are very different. Generally speaking, white Americans are very curious and open minded. Of course there is racism everywhere and incidents do happen. But brother NAK is right in that America is actually a pretty amazing country. It's a really weird paradox that American foreign policy is the exact opposite of how minorities experience life within America.
inch Allah they may change the course of the future with Allah permission next Nov election by breaking the 2 party system that will transform the country
Not sure I agree with his take on Muslims in the UK having a harder time than Muslims in the US and I don't think the Muslims in the US are 30 years ahead. The dynamics in each country are different. But the Muslims in the US have felt marginalised, especially after Trump's comments regarding stopping Muslim immigration. No politician in the UK has ever made such a direct comment about Muslim immigration. The Muslims in the US also have a very heavy weight on their conscience regarding the US's unwavering support for Israel and the Billions of dollars it gives Israel in military aid and hardware, making the US complicit in the ongoing genocide in Gaza. As well as the US's role in the so called, 'War on Terror' and the destruction of Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria. And what about the US's disgusting and inhumane treatment of Muslim prisoners in Guantanamo, which is still ongoing. So American Muslims have all this to grapple with. Have American Muslims done enough to speak up against their country's foreign policy? Frankly, I don't think they have. If I were Dilly, I would have put these questions to Nouman.
I think you forget how the so called war on terror impacted the Uk from the anti terror laws to the Prevent program and so on - the past year all the Zionist assets were activated in the UK parliament and started uttering racist things I would have never imagined. So in a way he is right and for Trump a good chunk of the people admit he is a fool and no one take him seriously. But I found the rhetoric of the like of Farage and the Conservative party much more dangerous.

Also the masaajid in the UK are very well established and very active in a host of educational and community development activities. I find it surprising that American Muslim scholars who regularly visit the UK can be so shortsighted about the Muslim community in Britain, which is so active and vibrant.
Luv the format. Just a chat on key fundamental topics. Reminds me of ROGAN!!!
Very good questions asked!
Mashallah he's a great guy but I expect those questions which challenge his views. Dilly you sat there on the first question and just sat there man? This wasn't a blood brothers more like the healing brothers podcast.
Yeah, expected more Devil's advocate role from Dilly. But I guess it's the shortage of time.
So true! Couldn't have said it better!
If he likes going to the gym and keeping his body in shape, what's wrong with that?
Seems like a nonsensical criticism.
@@fabs99 this guy did a lecture on gym bros dissing them. Saying people are wasting Thier time in the gym. This was when he wasn't in shape then he did a U turn and I used to train hard back then. I literally slowed because of his lecture then I see this guy all pumped up. I've been following him since his first videos in a cafe. I even have a bayinah subscription, I don't care what he does in his private life but he says so many things and does the opposite. Maybe you haven't been following him like I have the last 20 years but trust me I ain't gonna say stuff to goto jahanam for the sake of slandering the guy. I wish him all the best but this guy is pompous at times. He's the only guy I know who talks of this Muslim divide Europe and America and the rest of the world. Why would I hate my American brothers but this stuff where my love hate part kicks in.
@atrociousnonsense no he literally said don't waste your time in the gym. I know your a fanboy but find it and check it out yourself
And what person has gone from UK and done Jihad in Palestine though its good to talk though
Much tunnel vision there, that final line.

Because the blood of a muslim on american hands is decades old n the Europeans is centuries@@AdamKhan-f9i
@@AdamKhan-f9i That’s because in the US, with the exception of Native Americans, everybody else is or descends from immigrants, who adopted this new “American” identity.
Didn't expect ustadh. Ma sha Allah
Genius, may Allah grant him good health
Nice one❤❤❤
I thought it was interesting about what he said about American Muslims. It could be because America is so vast everyone is spread out, everyone is an immigrant and there aren’t many indigenous Americans left. But here we are all like sardines all rubbing each other up the wrong way, lots of friction, depressing weather, people complaining all the time. And most importantly we live with the actual indigenous majority who often remind us we are not from here. Still the UK a great place to live for Muslims but we have our problems.
You just said everyone keeps complaining (in UK) while making a whole comment... complaining. Maybe look at how you look at the world first.
Sorry
May bless you Ustadh..
Excellent discussion. He makes you want to explore the quran even more.
Im not sure i agree with his UK vs US observation though.

What is he referring to about the comments of the ongoing things related to the Catholic Church? 19:14
Would love his thoughts about the Australian Muslim experience. He has been here a few times.
I havent been to Australia but Iam in the UK but the Australian talker Mohammad Hoblos was talking about the Muslim gangsters in Australia
even some the sisters nowadays they want an ex bad boy they say oh he got some tattoos but now he is repented mashallah and when the ex bad boy leaves her and goes back to his past she spends her nights crying

Uk is a small island as well and it is tiny compared to America and Muslims they always arguing with each other in the UK there is something called speakers corner as well all there people Muslims arguing with one another me as someone from UK and born in UK iam ashamed to see this
I doubt there is any place like Saville Town, Dewsbury in the US.

So I’m from slough in uk but now live in USA. Nouman is right, as a Muslim here I’ve never had any issues whatsoever. Granted i do live in dc and it’s very diverse. The difficulties may come soon if there was mass Muslim migration here and the z1onist media use it against us, like they do with Mexicans
But 99% of the time Muslims have no issue here in USA, he is correct
Yeah so you guys should stay in the Uk
I've lived in d.c and the Muslim community there haven't a clue about the world. Virginia Fairfax etc literally dry place. Yes Slough is cultural but they have a connection with the home land. But d.c is so dead. On top of that all you do is work and that's about it.

Why is he saying I don’t believe in naskh? (نسخ) it’s literally mentioned in the Quran and there are many ahadith about it
give reference then please if there is, it would be better for others too
@ it’s pretty complicated subject you need a scholar to teach you that and show you the evidence from the Quran of the sunnah, but from what I know, naskh, or abrogation in the Quran primarily concerning commands and prohibitions applies only to legal rulings and moral guidance, not to miracles or signs (ayat) that affirm GOD existence.
(2:106)
Any revelation We cause to be superseded or forgotten, We replace with something better or similar. Do you [Prophet] not know that God has power over everything?
(16:101)
When We substitute one revelation for another- and God knows best what He reveals- they say, ‘You are just making it up,’ but most of them have no knowledge.
And from the hadith
(Sahih Muslim 1406)
And an example from the sunnah
O people, I had permitted you to contract temporary marriage with women, but Allah has forbidden it (now) until the Day of Resurrection. So he who has any (woman with this type of marriage contract) he should let her off, and do not take back anything you have given to them (as dower).

Quick comment though, nak usually gives linguistic definition, figuritive, etc
But what about the verses that Rasulullah s and sahaba r endorsed, established, implemented- such as treaties, hudood, etc etc
Quran cant be seperate from the ahadith, fiqh, usool, seerah, etc
They all go hand in hand.
Thats when we get to appreciate living islam rather then just theoretical appreciations. I'm definately sure that quran has given a law or system to be implemented to protect falistin, rohingya, uighuyr, kashmir, shaam, khurasan, etc
Allah swt give this noble ummah to implement and establish every hukum of Allah and Rasulullah s.

If I were Dilly, I would have put these questions to Nouman.
and you believe UK is better
I think you forget how the so called war on terror impacted the Uk from the anti terror laws to the Prevent program and so on - the past year all the Zionist assets were activated in the UK parliament and started uttering racist things I would have never imagined. So in a way he is right and for Trump a good chunk of the people admit he is a fool and no one take him seriously. But I found the rhetoric of the like of Farage and the Conservative party much more dangerous.
