Make sure to submit these as bug reports to CDPR. I hope they address this in the next patch, either by fixing the perks or adjusting the descriptions! I personally hope they fix the perks. It feels like Overclock-focused builds are the only way to make netrunning viable.
Hey zkarmaa thanks a million for taking the time and effort to get deep into the science of this game. Something many of us don’t have the time or patience to do. Cyberpunk is a very nuanced and deep game and without videos like yours we would get many things wrong or miss out on critical information. Keep up the great work.
So, let me see if I got this. Speculation: Must use a quickhack queue for this to work. RAM refunded does not include the RAM value of the last quickhack in a queue in the 25% calculation. Recirculation: Must use a quickhack queue for this to work. RAM refunded does not include the RAM value of the last quickhack in a queue in the 50% calculation.
I believe they were meant to synergize the two categories. They're just not working the way they're supposed to. Before the 2.02 patch you could have Queue Mastery, load a Synapse Burnout followed by 3 non-combat quickhacks and get more RAM back than you actually spent due to the full cost versus the discounted cost from all perks. 2.02 patched that and you now get 80% of the actual RAM spent. It's my opinion that some of what they patched in 2.02 isn't working as intended.
Someone should do some research about certain cyberware too. Does the visual cortex support implant increase the crit chance of thrown weapons? What if you have a bioconductor? Will it affect your quick hack's crit chance?
All of that just to get that ram back and not even let cyber psychosis run it's course because you'll miss out on getting some of your RAM back. When you just could have obliterated them with a tech shotgun or something in far less time and far less ram. I love this game but it also confuses the hell out of me.
Just explaining how things work here. You can play the game how you want. Some people like running a hybrid netrunner build and this would be useful info
@@zKarma You're totally right. It's just a little frustrating sometimes to do all of the big setups and then realize it would have been easier to just blow his brains out. Though I will admit. I find it hilarious to put two cyberpsychos in the midst of their friends. Just wish I could Regen/discount my ram costs as much as I used to in the early days to be able to do that.
It's so weird when the last hack doesn't count for these perks. It'd make sense if the target died as the hack was being cast, but I fail to see the logic on how it currently works. Sounds too specific to be a bug, maybe they made a typo or something in the code lol.
I think is unintended because it makes zero sense. I don't think they meant to force players choose a perk on the other side of the tree. Perks that require other perks to function have connections. The dependent ones cannot be chosen without the independent. Why would this be the only oddball in the game.
The last patch broke a lot of skills and perks. Over half of the passive skills you get from "Headhunter", "Netrunner" and such aren't working anymore.
Nice testing! So would this conclusion, as Rule of Thump be correct for those two skills: 1. They only work on Queues. 2. The Last Quickhack (Last as at the end, and not, the 4th) is not affacted? Repetition of the Findings in such a condense way at the end of a chapter or the video would be nice (if possible). Due the nature of showing the testing process, it´s hard to lose track for a momentm there are a lot of new skills etc. to follow. Thanks again for your testing and sharing!
The 4th is affected. I was just showing you can use the combat quickhack at the end of the queue so you can get refund for 1,2&3. If you were to add a 4th quickhack to the queue and then used combat quickhack afterwards, you'd still only get refund for 1,2,&3
@zKarmaa You just earned a new sub, I just realised that I keep watching CP2077 shit on da tube but you're pretty much THE GUY who wheels out the exact stats, and you even have formulae. That alone deserves a sub cous .. GOOD JOB brah!!
Did this get fixed with the latest patch? Another interesting thing to test would be to Quickhack queue a Quickhack which spreads to other enemies like contagion, then kill the enemy it spreads to (not the original target) and see if killing them with a smart weapon procs the second half of recirculation.

Trying a knives build but I keep running into the issue where my thrown knife hits the edge of the cover I'm behind even though I have a clear line of sight on the shot on my screen, or the knife fails to hit because it hits a piece of terrain near the enemy that isn't anywhere near my reticle or flight path. ex; NPC will be kneeling beside a vehicle over a body and I'll be directly behind them, throw my knife centermass and it will stop at the front grill as if it somehow invisibly extended out to provide cover.
Patch 2.01 broke ALL? Perks/skills. Nothing is working as it should anymore. As far as I am aware, ALL the headhunter "Skills" you get every 5 levels dont work anymore. Im sure its the same with all the others too
Counter-a-hack from the left tree also seems to be bugged as in it states I should be able to hack enemy netrunner through walls if they detect me but I can't. I can have that orange line coming from them to me and I can see their outline but I can't hack through walls. Shadowrunner is also potentially bugged. It states -100% trace after takedown but killing enemies with weapons or hacks do not do anything. Sneaking behind for an actual takedown also does not work for me
Pretty sure the netrunner has to be casting a quickhack on you, not just that tracing bar. But yeah both perks work, make sure there is nothing between you and the netrunner, as in nothing your scanner is catching.
I may have to retry that perk I think. I think I know what you mean, it isn't the tracer bar, its like a orange line coming from the enemy netrunner to me and I see their outline but cannot target them, idk if it is just my game then :( @@Ecliptor.
Counter a hack works just fine. In fact, one of the best things I've done in the game is sneak up to a net runner, get them actively searching for me by firing a silenced weapon near them or throwing a knife close to them which will cause them to run the "pinpoint location" hack against me or whatever it's called, then hit them with system collapse. The net runner and their entire squad keels over. It's amazing. Can also be used with the Blackwall Quickhack.
Really helpful video thanks, I have a question. Do you have any idea how the Shadowrunner perk is suppose to work? Because this perk has had absolutely no effect on my gameplay. Not sure if it's bugged aswell?
Yeah it works for me. When you use a traceable quickhack, a progress bar begins. It goes from 0-100%. At 100% enemies detect you. With shadowrunner: if you take down an enemy, that bar resets to %0. But it doesnt stop the trace, its just a way to reset it and give you more time.
Every game of this magnitude nowadays is like that. Comes with the territory I guess. I’ve tested perks of other games and there are always some not working properly or at all
No shit, it was never gonna be bug free but overall i've experienced less than i did before. The game is fixed in terms of having better combat, better perks, and a decent police system.
Make sure to submit these as bug reports to CDPR. I hope they address this in the next patch, either by fixing the perks or adjusting the descriptions!
I personally hope they fix the perks. It feels like Overclock-focused builds are the only way to make netrunning viable.
Where do I submit to?
I post alot in cdpr forums I’ll be sure to post this in hopes that it will get fixed
overclock seems the ONLY way to go, bit of a pitty.

I really dont know how CDPR can manage to fucking break their own perks so consistently, its fucking annoying

Even the shinobi reload from air dashes and slides don't work. Would be OP on sniper but alas it's bugged!
Also cyberware shards don't drop anymore for some people.
So basically religiously queue the least expensive quickhack at the end of the queue every time lol.
To me this looks like:
1. Dev did not test gameplay mechanics in-game.
2. Dev is not communicating with QA other than trough jiras.
Happens in every game with skill trees.

interesting. It's no wonder I'm getting the feeling I get no RAM returns while Im doing my XP farming, my build is basically a Smart NetGunner

I think it works when your not in overclock mode as overclock used health instead of ram
Nope. I only used overclock on this example to use an expensive quickhack. I’ve tried without already
For the first one I think you need to neutralize an enemy with a weapon
it says combat quickhack
You see right! I’ll keep this comment for the algorithm :) thank you for your videos

@@zKarmayou should actually kill the enemy with a weapon, not a quick of some sort
@@MasterPro0O Which one are you talking about?
@@zKarma About shadowrunner perk, it should reset progress bar after killing enemy, but if you do it with quickhack it won't do it
@@MasterPro0O It says takedown an enemy. Takedown is that mechanic where you stealth grab and kill an enemy.
Thank you,👍👍👍
Cyberbug 2.0 has been bugged asf to me
This game is still a buggy mess. Cars, NPC’s, visual bugs, perk bugs, and many others.
