9:25 will always be one of the biggest reasons i love dishonored, allowing you to completely ignore the "intended" path and scale buildings that most games would probable put an invisible wall around or simply say "you are out of bounds" is amazing, it really felt like how to completed the mission was genuinely up to you. i wish more game had this type of freedom.
1000%, I always find myself thinking back to just how great Dishonored really was, for such an old game these days it holds up tremendously well with both visuals AND mechanics
I am very desperate for anyone to upload anything about dishonored. You sir, are a fish Edit: I didn’t know anyone would get my “you sir, are a fish” due to have out of context it was hahahah
I plan to do more varied content and become one of the top dogs for gaming in general, but I'll definitely return to Dishonoured in the future just for you!!
If the bolts above the enemies head does not turn red and "break", they have not spotted you yet. White means they think they might have saw something and if you get out of sight, they'll look in they direction in which they saw you briefly, mostly not leaving their path, and say something like, "must have been the wind," and return to walking their scripted path. White with red outline means they saw someone, but they don't know it was you necessarily. Civilians will do the same as the last level and guards will draw their sword, leave their path, be on alert (walking around looking for you nearby and around objects), for a set amount of time depending on the difficulty, and then eventually sheath their sword and return to their scripted path if they do not find you. If the bolts turn red and look like they break and fade away with a sudden unnerving audio cue, they have spotted you. This level is the only level that counts as being spotted and is the only level that will cause you to fail ghost. In this level, civilians that spot you will flee, hide, and may or may not return to their scripted path later on. In this level, you will also be attacked unless you escape immediately, but they will remain on alert indefinitely (or at least a really long time). When they are on alert, enemies spot you easier. The only exception that is really annoying is the assassins. If they get to level 1, they look in that direction for a disturbing amount of time. Level 2, they will instantly teleport to you and almost always spot you. Of course, I think everyone understands level 3. Also, in the first mission at Coldridge Prison, the guards overlooking the water after you jump off the bridge almost never actually spot you as long as you are actually under the water until you reach the bank to go into the sewers. Even if the audio cue plays, most of the time it is just due to a bug with the escape score that plays. All and all, this was a wonderful playthrough and I commend you for doing an even harder challenge then required. I thoroughly enjoy the game, and subsequently, this video.
Wow! I didn't know the system was THAT in depth... nor did I know I made the challenge 10x harder than it should've been haha. Thank you for the insight and the kind words!!
With the house party mission (my personal favourite) you can talk to a miss white (has a moth head mask)and she tells you 2 of the identities and by then talking to the scarecrow man you can easily work out which lady is which. Great video, good to see some dishonored love
Damn I did not know that, I was always so caught up in having to find the notebook that I never actually focused on what everyone had to say. Appreciate the strat, happy you enjoyed!!
@@aadamjaveedkhan Yeah you have to get her a drink. Also if you write your name in the book you get a gift from the sisters when you get back to your room. I can't remember if its if you kill her or not but its really funny either way.

Thank you so much!! I'm so glad to hear that, you're definitely giving me way too much credit, I'm far from a pro haha!! Appreciate having you here, thanks for watching!
The 2 weepers you can knock them out easily without powers, after you peek the corner the male one runs to the tunnel, but you can dart the lady without the man seeing. Then you can exit the sewers the way you came and reenter it in the hatch next to the hounds pit pub, on the street part
From what I remember those 2 weepers are fine to be noticed by as it isn't considered a mission. at least i hope so and I haven't failed ghost run already
Hey sorry I forgot about this comment but something to say is that I didn't fail the achievement but to get it I did what you said but you can dart them both. Depends on the difficulty but it will take them time to detect you after he runs around back to the area where the lady is. Shooting a dart fast enough will get you undetected
On the last mission, if you swim to one of the rocks in the sea just after you get off the boat, with a bit of fiddling, you can blink onto the top of it and just walk up the metal guideline thing right to the top, bypassing most of the level.
Oh shi? I found out about just how much freedom the game gives you in that final mission when having to manoeuvre around everyone, and this definitely crossed my mind! Appreciate you letting me know about this, I'll have to try it out!!
Not sure if this is intentional or not, but being undetected means they never get to red, not nobody being suspicious. I am certain ov this because i got the ghost achievement.

Ayyy thank you so much!!! We'll definitely be returning to dishonored in the future, but be sure to check out some of the other vids too!! I'm grateful to have you here TY
To this day, this is one of the single best accomplishments in gaming ive ever completed. Took me weeks back in highschool to beat it unseen and without killing anyone. I should fire it up on steam and do it again once more for nostalgia.
This is actually my favorite way to play these games. Except I also don't use powers or touch anybody whether it's knocking them out or killing them unless it's part of the main quest.
I play a no detections no kills playthrough (across all 3 games and dlcs) on very hard every few months, maxing every level with all runes/bonecharms, paintings, blueprints, and secrets, and it has not gotten old yet
the two first bars of detection don’t count as you being seen, it’s them being aware that someone may be there and they walk over to check it out. on the second bar, the enemy is certain someone is there so they run over. the third bar is you being seen. basically the first and second don’t count as you being seen and it’s okay to jump off the bridge without you failing the ghost challenge
The most impressive thing I've done in a videogame is getting ghost, clean hands, and mostly flesh and steel in the same run. Played a ton on console and did the achievements there, and again when I got the game on steam! Not an easy run, even when you know the game well, but it was a lot of fun
I recently did this, then decided to move on to Dishonored 2, which is even more fun since Far Reach allows you to fly through the air and land on your targets to put them to sleep
Ok Javeed: Minimal knockouts, no spots just like this. I think the total of REQUIRED knockouts is like... 3. It's completely possible to avoid that alleyway in the pendleton brothers mission
You don't actually have to steal the key off of that guy at the lighthouse, there's a maintenance hatch on the top of the elevator (like on real ones) which you can go through
Ideally 0 bodies(absolutely unnecessary) would be found for a hit man run. Otherwise, it's just a ghost run with extra quick loads. Glad to see a new Dishonored challenge runner. ✌❤️
I'm currently working on a playthrough doing this as well, but also getting mostly flesh and steel. I'm at dunwall tower rn, but very hard, ghost, clean hands, and only blink is rlly hard.
I attempted this only to get all the way to slackjaw/granny in the sewers, where I was then spotted by Granny. I ruined my entire run for the slackjaw sidequest achievement
The 3 lines don't mean uve been seen it means they are going to look because they think they heard or saw smth so u can still get the ghost achievement. Great video btw, its a pleasure to see Dishonored get love these days!
i find it funny how you didn't know about the entrance at the top of the lighthouse, since that's where i naturally went after having played the entire game going up to get out of sight
I did this the first time i played the game for whatever reason. i found it was easy to do with a combination of blink, dark vision, and possession, as well as a "little" save scumming lol
Oh hey i did that too a lot of years ago when i got Dishonored 2 (went back and finished 1 the same way), both of them were really time consuming to do it this way. I actually did manage to never be seen in either of the main games, but i never managed to finish the Death Of The Outsider DLC without being seen because of that level by the end where you are in the void with those tall monsters and a lot of corrupted people. Shame. But also, that was the only game i played all these games, which really isn't recommended imo i dunno why i did that. I would have way more fun playing the game normally, killing everyone
Lmao, I thought the same thing, stealth games are fun to be played like this but sometimes you wanna see how crazy things can get haha. You should go back and do Death of The Outsider! It'll feel so good to have all 3 under your belt, I'm rooting for you!!
I know I’m six months late but on the king sparrow mission the last one you can run along the giant anchors from the rocks on the giant wire you just gotta go behind the rock and look for the path which is way easier
Yeeeeeeah, my bad! I know some people like to see a larger amount of the runs, but I like to cut out most dead parts, so the experience is still enjoyable! The formatting is something I still have a lot to learn about I'm sure, but appreciate the watch fr TY!!
@@aadamjaveedkhan nah fam its all good ,twas a very well edited video , it was just an attempt for a funny comment lmao. But sume more content like this would rock ngl.
Honestly, this is how I beat dishonored 1 on all difficulty levels (I love this game and I've played it probably 20 times), I thought that the mere appearance of this indicator means that I was detected :D (P.S. in dishonored 2, I already knew that this is not the case)
I also did your unintentionally harder challenge when I first played the game of not filling any alert bar. You should have gotten more runes to unlock the completel stop time ability. ALso, I believe you can just kill the 3 lady boyles and savescum with the knowledge of who is the target.
Quick note: you do not need to be on the hardest difficulty for any achievement in this game. You can technically 100% the games achievements on very easy mode
In the beginning u could have climbed the bridge that was being lifted up by staying next to the door that had the bomb andkept running towards the door and jump fast
I'm happy to hear that! We all have games that got us through certain times, I'm grateful I was able to present Dishonored in a way that lives up to your experience! Appreciate you being here!!
As it turns out the Non-Lethal approach Lady Boyle isn't... that bad(?). According to the Canon, the dude dies of natural causes and she inherits his fortune, so she kinda gets a happy ending (I guess?). Even the devs are kinda' iffy about that choice.
I've done the whole game without killing anyone. Except that, in the last mission, I placed a sleeping guy on a rafter and later he fell xD Had to redo the mission.
The intro you actually only need to take out the two guys in the room you bomb otherwise they will be hit by the blast or aggro to you immediately you can do the rest of the prison break without touching anyone with a mix of speed and patience
_Tee Elle Dee Are: Gaym Gud._ The best stealth franchise barring only perhaps Hitman. Like many stealth fans, I have a soft spot in my heart for Blood Money and despite the weird seasons release schedule thing and the ridiculous “always online or else no ranking” decision by the Devs, the modern trilogy is a 9/10 for me and endlessly fun. From Suit Only No KO All Accidents to playing it regularly with disguises and whatnot to fun stress relievers like Kill Everyone in giant maps like Miami in Hitman 2, it’s still as good as ever. MGS and Splinter Cell are fantastically good and loads of fun but nothing beats the amazingly cool lore, otherworldly yet familiar locations, the “steampunk in watercolour” atmosphere, and Victorian style. It also has just the right amount of “magical science” or warped Natural Philosophy as science was called in that era from The Restoration (1660ish) until the Edwardian period of the early 20th century. Whale oil as a magical fuel, a weird state religion in The Abbey of the Everyman and its Seven Structures, the ubiquitous Outsider, his mark, and his window to the world within whalebone runes and charms. It’s so gamey but also could make an amazing novel or film. Plus so many people have no idea what they’re missing in the DLC of the first game. I love sequel as well, and the first game is a masterpiece, but the DLC - particularly The Knife of Dunwall and The Brigmore Witches - are almost better than the base game. Daud’s Blink is just that little bit different and improved that it makes the famous pulling off of cool in-game tricks just that much cooler, easier, and more impressive. Blink is such an important part of the way one moves throughout the game (if one chooses to use it. Playing without using powers in 1 or refusing the mark of the Outsider in 2 is a whole new experience and really a whole new game) that playing as Daud in “Knife”and “Witches” is like playing a sequel in itself, or at least a 1.5 type game. Arkane put more effort into the DLC than most studios would put into a proper sequel. To think that just a little over a decade later they’d be churning out crap like Redfall when they made Dishonored and even a great game in more recent times with 2017’s “Prey,” is a staggering tragedy. But the Devs will always have my respect. This was the end of a golden age in modern gaming. Hats off to it! I have had more fun with my PS3 in the 2020s than the PS5. Still play the PS4 all the time. It seems like people know that this generation is trash as well since every second thing is a reboot or remake now. From the Demon’s Souls remake to The Last of Us re-remake (I understand it coming out on the 4 which is how I played it and enjoyed it myself but not the 5 too) to the Resident Evil 2 remake to now Silent Hill 2. It’s so strange. It seems like every studio and the buying public KNOW that the 6th and 7th generations (even the 8th) are the new “good old days” and even though they’re not separated by so long a span of time, the PS2 and Xbox and GameCube era where you put in a disc and the game started (not an update every time you turn on the console after a week’s hiatus) seems like a million miles away and feels like ages ago. I’m sure a lot of it has to do with nostalgia and a generation picking up these games again. I’m a 1988 millennial and my teens were spent in the glory and glow of the cathode ray tube playing these gems and many more: Halo CE and 2, Hitman 2: SA, and Contracts, JSRF, Splinter Cell, Wreckless, Manhunt, PGR, the Burnouts and Amped, Mechassault, THPS 2x and 3, Conker and Psychonauts. MGS 2 and 3, Shadow of the Colossus, GTA 3, VC, SA, God of War, Gran Turismo 4, Sly Cooper, Ratchet and Clank and Jak and Daxter. Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Kart Double Dash, Mario Party 6, TLoZ: Wind Waker and OoT remake, Pikmin 1 and 2, Ikaruga, RE4 and RE Remake, Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2, SSX Tricky, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, Timesplitters 2 and 3. They all still hold up and they released when they were FINISHED! Done! The only updates were FREE DLC! The only reason to be online was to PLAY online. As much as I still love the Hitman series and the new trilogy, what’s with needing to be online to get a damn ranking or certain weapons and items in a SINGLE PLAYER GAME!? Ridiculous. Anyways this is already a novel but Dishonored is a absolute masterwork and is bursting with so much creativity I can only be thankful that I discovered it by accident on a professional Hitman runner/let’s player’s channel, thought it looked amazing, found it in a bargain bin of all places as the GOTY 2012 edition and played it to near Stardew Valley levels of obsession, (I have a few thousand hours on each for sure) and I’m still playing it. R.I.P. Arkane. We truly hardly knew ye, but what we did know rocked our socks off!
Unpopular opinion: all stealth games should be played like this all games daring to call themselves stealth should provide the opportunity for 0 detection playthrough also bonus points if it's a stealth game where there are no explosions or even scripted alerts whatsoever

I am so happy to see that dishonored has been getting more rep recently. Enjoyable video as always 🎉🎉
Thank you so much!!
Yeah the flooded district was my hardest challenge with the Ghost/Bloodless/Shadow/no upgrades run.
I know I’m six months late but on the king sparrow mission the last one you can run along the giant anchors from the rocks on the giant wire you just gotta go behind the rock and look for the path which is way easier
Great video!
Love the confirmation as well!
Would love to see more :))
Thank you so much!! So glad you enjoyed! For sure, they'll always be better videos coming out!!
UA-cam it's been recommending me some amazing gems. Like this channel. Love it ❤
Much love!! Hope to see you here more often!
Most complicated way to get the shadow achievement ever. Well done sir
We all love some complication in life haha, Thank You!!
I blinked after he jumped from coldridge prison and suddenly he got to lord regent
There is someone who bear dishonored 1 and 2 like this, without powers, and without knocking anyone out. You should try that
👀👀
You can search the vault in the golden cat level before giving it to the guy
Bit late to the party, but the 2 weepers in the sewer at the hound pits pub don't count toward the game stats of being seen or killing anyone.
Brings back soo much nostalgia just by watching this ❤
I am proud to say I got the platinum trophy on dishonerd 1, I always wanted to play it and it was amazing!!
Ayyyy! That's great to hear!!
You are blowing up like crazy dam
All attributable to people like yourself watching the video, means a lot!! TY!
The hound pits between missions doesn't count toward being seen.
Honestly, this is how I beat dishonored 1 on all difficulty levels (I love this game and I've played it probably 20 times), I thought that the mere appearance of this indicator means that I was detected :D (P.S. in dishonored 2, I already knew that this is not the case)
Amazing content man!!
you have your stealth and ill keep my heavy stealth
heavy stealth = cant be seen if theres no one alive to see you xD
We vouch for these kind of strategies, as long as it gets the job done haha
I also did your unintentionally harder challenge when I first played the game of not filling any alert bar. You should have gotten more runes to unlock the completel stop time ability. ALso, I believe you can just kill the 3 lady boyles and savescum with the knowledge of who is the target.
Quick note: you do not need to be on the hardest difficulty for any achievement in this game. You can technically 100% the games achievements on very easy mode
Do Dishonored 2!
And if you want a tougher challenge, do it with emily (i think her's would be more difficult afair)
I'll keep that in mind! Thank you!
This is literally what I did. Played like 100 hours of Hitman and decided to beat Dishonored ghost
In the beginning u could have climbed the bridge that was being lifted up by staying next to the door that had the bomb andkept running towards the door and jump fast
Great video I look forward to the next one!
Thank you!!
Let's be honest, that rat would've kept munching.
Did never seen and clean hands on the same run, it only made sense... 😅
I've done dishonored 2 ghost, pacifist with no powers. Was super fun
I beat this game 14 times, without being detected, and without killing also.
you can get ghost ranks as long as the white suspicion never turns red, if you didnt know. :3 nice vid
I don't like being graded at the end of a mission for some reason. Like it's judging me. lol
It's SAMUEL, I'm here! I love this game
Subbed for the French black guys staring at each other clip
Love the pacing of your videos
Such a good game helped me get through a lot days after days spent in back ally brawl
I'm happy to hear that! We all have games that got us through certain times, I'm grateful I was able to present Dishonored in a way that lives up to your experience! Appreciate you being here!!
2:18 There is a way to just open the sewer from the street and you will arrive in their back much easier
Ahhh! Thank you!!
Honestly, it was easy. Just sleep darts when they are not looking or isolated enough
As it turns out the Non-Lethal approach Lady Boyle isn't... that bad(?). According to the Canon, the dude dies of natural causes and she inherits his fortune, so she kinda gets a happy ending (I guess?). Even the devs are kinda' iffy about that choice.
Oh wow, I didn't know that, maybe it's not THAT bad after all!
your the chosen one bro iv been playing for years and i cant not get spotted then again i should try to not get spotted tho huh
Naw hell nah you got this bro, trust me it ain't even all that. Just try again!! Best of luck!
I never knew in the first mission u can jump off the edge, I always turned right went down and swam from the bottom
I did the exact same thing! It was only when I started to optimise my level run-throughs when I came across that hidden edge, Thank F I did lmao!
what i did to be unseen i planned ahead and executed it fast before anyone realised i was there
I've done the whole game without killing anyone.
I’m a 1988 millennial and my teens were spent in the glory and glow of the cathode ray tube playing these gems and many more:
Halo CE and 2, Hitman 2: SA, and Contracts, JSRF, Splinter Cell, Wreckless, Manhunt, PGR, the Burnouts and Amped, Mechassault, THPS 2x and 3, Conker and Psychonauts.
Unpopular opinion: all stealth games should be played like this
all games daring to call themselves stealth should provide the opportunity for 0 detection playthrough
also bonus points if it's a stealth game where there are no explosions or even scripted alerts whatsoever
I second this
