I confused this track with the Pass for years man, I think it’s because my first introduction to both tracks was on Rush In Rio and they’re played back to back
I use to do the same thing when i record personal cds... On the other hand, i use to record "show don't tell" and Then "roll the Bones" as a conceptual exercise... RUSH provide such kind of options
I'm the same way, but I honestly attribute that to them placing the songs right next to each other on the Rush in Rio album. Pretty good transition, actually!
dont know if anyone gives a shit but if you're stoned like me atm you can watch pretty much all the latest series on InstaFlixxer. Been streaming with my gf for the last couple of days :)
I hope I can salute you somehow when we arrive on such place.. maybe later we can also hear an Steve Howe solo with YES or ASIA too Kind regards from México
Such a great video as it highlights every one of them. I was fortunate enough to see them on this tour at the Omni in Altanta 3/4/92 sandwiched between seeing U2 open their Zoo TV tour to support Achtung Baby in Charlotte NC on 3/3 & at the Omni again on 3/5. As great as U2 were on that tour, this Rush show was my most memorable concert of that 3 day run of great music. Their best show for me of the many times I've seen Rush going back to 1975.
Lucky you lol Saw Zoo TV that year as well 💜😎🤘 and RTB months before tripping 🙃 it was F’ing beautiful especially as they were still doing the encore medley back then 💜🤘💜🤘 AND THEY DID THE ANALOG KID SO I WAS BLISSED OUT even before the encore 😎
WOW! What memories this version brings back. It was magical hearing Dreamline, Bravado and Roll the Bones in order live! I've seen them every tour since Power Windows till the very last show in LA and I believe this live version is perhaps one of the only times Alex had deviated from the recorded solo (on the studio album). I love the extra guitar work on song! Cheers to the greatest band ever!
I love this version. I was at the Dallas stop on this tour and swear I remember Alex having a similar, deviated, solo, but always figured it was some sort of Mandela effect I had created in my head, but now I'm thinking my memory serves me right.
Great Video! Thanks for sharing. The lyrics to this song as well as Time Stand Still, Losing it and many others seem so much more profound now that he has left this mortal cool. What A great human overall as well as a great player and lyricist. R. I. P Professor. You are greatly missed.
oh the many passages' thru time. this band has taken me to new heights and valleys of reality. pressed between the pages of my mind, sweet memories sweetened thru the ages just like wine. sweet memories flashing very quickly bye, reminding me just how close I came to missing. I know that My goal is more than a thought. and you'll be there, and I'll teach- what I've been taught, and I've been taught!!! @4:00
Props to the FOH guy for a great mix. You can hear every instrument clearly. The drums and cymbals are nice and strong (including the electronic kit), unlike the tours, in the 2000s, where they, more times than not, were buried in the mix. On the R40 tour, in Lincoln, NE, I had to move because the mix was so bad where we were sitting. Thanks goodness it was better in Denver, but still not as good as in this video. Reply
For some reason I always associate this song with 'The Pass" Both are so very powerful. Also the solo at the end of this song is so very awesome.
One of my favorite Alex solo’s, and, I agree, both songs have a very powerful message.

RIP the Professor...
Alex’s solo after 4:15 is what heaven is going to sound like when it’s my time to get there

at 3:12 , it sounds like snare wires went off ..i'm wondering if Neil realized it, because he continued like that until the end of the song
Yeah imagine so
Que solo lindo de Alex no fim!

A few nights later, I captured the audio from the nose bleeds at the old Omni in Atlanta.
Neil
This song is a warning to us all - about hubris and not taking action
Especially fierce (yes, Neil) for those of us in the USA.
Get off our asses.
