Great Styling Upgrade. If you’re looking for a nice subtle upgrade for the rear of your 2015 - 2017 Ford Mustang fast back or convertible, this carbon fiber deck lid is an easy to install upgrade. This deck lid will completely replace the factory panel and eliminate the emblems on the back of your Mustang, with a nice flat and subtle carbon fiber pattern look. It’s important to note that this replacement deck lid still retains the use of the factory back up camera, for a complete bolt on replacement.
Simple Construction. The deck lid is constructed of genuine black carbon fiber in a twill weave design that is vacuum infused with resin for even more strength and durability. The surface can also be painted if you choose to color match the deck lid, instead of the traditional carbon fiber look. In addition, the surface has a clear coat finish, but will still require some maintenance and wax to prevent any bleaching from the sun or elements.
Plug and Play Installation. The installation is straightforward and doesn’t require any cutting or modification to your Mustang. The factory deck lid is held into place with some bolts, which will require the use of basic hand tools. Once removed, the new carbon fiber replacement deck lid is attached with 3M double-sided tape of adhesive, which will need to be purchased separately. Overall the installation should take less than 30 minutes to complete.
