Yuzuru Hanyu was robbed of +3 GOE for many jumps in both his SP and FS during worlds 2017, and a much higher free skate world record.

Judges better watch out, because many fans actually know the rules and not blind and can make comparison videos.

Shoma Uno's 4F has an edge take-off. Basically it is a 4Loop given high base value of a 4Flip and high GOE.

ugh, yuzuru and boyang are superb! And nathan needs to improve but he got the right basic (like the entry, edge).

it is A mystery how Shoma Uno got PLUS GOEs by his poor height(of jumps) and weak landings, not to mention that Take off FAR,FAR beyond neat or standard ←_←

So why is it that hanyu’s jumps gets so much green but the GOE is so low.

That's the question, isn't it? Javier gets +3 on his 3a and Yuzu's is better and he doesn't get a +3. I think that was the season they started "encouraging" Yuzu to think about retiring. They definitely didn't want him to win another Gold at the Olympics. I think everyone thought it would be Javi. Just like in 2014 everyone thought it would be Patrick Chan.

They wanted to raise a new star but everyone knew Shoma was overscored. Boyang, Chan, Nathan, Yuzu, Javi their jumps quality are all better than Shoma's. Hope justice in PyeongChang and Shoma's jump will be better, so I don't have to complain anything anymore.

Yeah Shoma is WAY overscored on his flip. The take off alone is some hybrid of something god awful.

To see 'poor speed/height/distance/position in the air', and NOT TO SEE 'good extension on landing', in Shoma's signature jump combination 3A-loop-3F speaks volumes about the author's attitude towards Shoma's jumps. Same thing can be said about not seeing 'good height/distance' and 'good extension on landing' in Shoma's 3A-3T. If it so happened that Shoma is not as tall as some other guys, and his legs are slightly shorter than those of other guys, it does not mean he has no extension on his landings. His jumps are not that high, but he manages to cover a lot of ice with some of them, particularly with 3A, which looks spectacular when you see it live. His 4T is pretty consistent now and has excellent quality both in the air and on the landing. There are issues with his 4F, for instance, but tell me who's jumping 4F apart from him and Nathan? Besides, both his 4F attempts in Helsinki were quite good, and his landings (particularly in SP) were significantly better than Nathan's, which is why he got more or less the same GOE's at the end. He pre-rotates a lot on the ice, true, particularly on the flip, but the fact that 1) this jump is pretty much unique and 2) there is no established set of practical rules that govern how to judge this and when to downgrade pre-rerotation on the ice, means that judges will continue to give him positive GOE's, until something changes either in 1) or 2), or both. So, haters gonna hate, Shoma gonna jump and win his medals. :)

Mikhail Lopatin only if Yuzu don't get that medals earlier than Shoma 😅

Fact is, Shoma's jumps are shit and they can give him as many medals as they want but in the end of the day, everyone knows he's overscored and doesn't deserve them so none of his medals matter.

Mikhail Lopatin shoma's 4F was in fact 3.25 floop

short people can jump proportionally high. I guess people are saying that he isn't even reaching that level of height. I cant say for sure I don't watch his skating enough to be confident. But there are younger and shorter skaters that could probably jump higher than him *cough* young female russian figure skaters
