Well maybe the singer character was a petty mean spirited Gal who liked to gossip so when the shrooms got her she got the effects she described and now she's hyper cheery seeing happy happy when it's still a twisted place?
I think he survives the ending of Super Hero, but he does spend some time in prison. (It's implied earlier in the song that he killed innocent government officials, so he has a good reason to be there.) On the other hand, there's Prisoner, Servant of Evil, maybe Alice of Human Sacrifice...
