  • On this video we will go over bolts connection set up for simulation and find the shear resultant force on each bolt.
    Hope you enjoy it!
    Learning Outcomes from this video:
    • Setup assembly for bolted connection simulation
    • FEA (Finite Element Analysis)
    • Shear Force
    • Resultant Force
    • Stress and safety factor
    • Read and modify results
    • Presenting FEA results in a desired format
    Thank you for watching! Enjoy!

    Please give me some advice
I have a problem with the simulation of screws, more precisely with one data that I need to enter, it is the PRE-LOAD data.
I know what the bolt preload is and I have a table for these values.
    example
    for M10 8.8
    Suggested Bolt Load 28.1 KN
    Approximate Torque 56.3 Nm
But when I enter the bolt preload value, it gets unrealistic results.
Can you tell me from which table to use for the metric thread.
    WHERE AM I GOING WRONG?
    thank you

Dont you need to set a pre load for the bolts? Whenever I try doing the same as you, my software crashes when visualizing the bolts resistance result
