    Good video, subject matter is well explained. A good tip for most metric mechanical engineers - set the force units to N/mm2 (MPa) as yield and tensile strengths of most materials are expressed in MPa. Pascals are too small for most problems…

    Hi Aryan, could you share how do you move and rotate the model in a neat way in the video? can you do it only with a special mouse for 3d modeling? (I mean 1:11-1:15 in the video for example)

      Yes Yuval, I posted this a while ago on the forum. But here on my channel you can also find it in the 3D connextion space mouse. I also posted a unique deal only on the forum, which by now has expired

    what happens when you put a large enough load for the material to fracture? Will solidworks show that, or animate it?

    • @with-Aryan
      @with-Aryan  8 місяців тому +1

      no! it wouldn't show breakage or cracks. That's something you calculate with your formula based on the material, then get the value that SOLIDWORKS gives you, if the value is above your breaking point, you know,

    Hi, Aryan. Appreciate your nice work through this video. 1) Can you make one on the proper way in which simulation results be saved on PDM or local folders? Plus 2) how to share the results with the client or team in a document form eg. PDF.

    • @with-Aryan

      Good day, This will depend first, if you want to go for simulation that takes both into account, called Non linear analysis, it comes with certain versions of the simulation package within SOLIDWORKS

    BTW, what are display states and how can you use them?

    • @with-Aryan
      @with-Aryan  9 місяців тому

      Display states in SolidWorks Simulation are used to control the visibility and appearance of components in your simulation studies. They help manage and present simulation results more effectively, allowing you to focus on specific aspects of the analysis without altering the actual model or its properties. Here's a bit more detail on what they are and how you can use them:
      Visual Configuration: Display states are essentially different visual configurations that allow you to show or hide parts and assemblies, change the color of components, and apply different appearances or textures. They are part of the model's properties but do not affect the model's physical geometry or features.
      Multiple Views: You can create multiple display states within the same model document, each with its own unique set of visibility settings and appearances. This is especially useful in simulation to highlight different aspects of the model or to focus attention on specific results.

    • @with-Aryan
      @with-Aryan  Рік тому

      yes of course. there are many cross-formats among these two and on top of that, many common formats that all CAD can read like STEP. No problem whatsoever

    Isn't the warning was due to higher load ....or the amount of load that cause the component to fail?

      FOS (Factor of Safety) is a quick and dirty way to know this any value less than 1 means the model is too weak for the loads you have specified.

    The title was misleading.

    It was just a basic static structural simulation in solidworks without any details of what actually goes on.

      There should be explanation of what's going behind those fancy buttons.
      There should be an explanation of the governing equations and the physics involved.
      There should be an explanation of what FEM is fundamentally and its maths and how FEM approximates the results.
      I have been following your videos for a long time. The solidworks tutorials are very good. Thank you for them.
