Seeing people react to the “beatbox” never gets old
Johnathan has a very unique voice.
Ok, look.
The security guard is hanging around, doing his thing. These kids are just being kids - roaming around the city, just looking for somewhere to play. They cross into security guard's turf and he grabs his gun and gets up thinking he heard something. As he's heading out he finds the kids playing and freaks out that the girl is playing hopscotch at the precipice of a cliff. As he runs to go grab her and take her away from "danger", he trips, drops his gun, and it goes off... just barely missing the little girl.
The bullet then runs across town, missing everything else, buddy shoots it back and, at the end, the little girl catches the bullet, storms over to the guard and burns his soul with her eyes before giving him back his bullet.
What does it mean? The security guard represents obsessive, overprotective parents, society, whatever. He's armed to the teeth in case the worst of the worst should happen, suspects the worst of the worst, and, in his frenzy of trying to protect shit, accidentally ends up causing or almost causing infinitely more damage than what was originally at stake.
It's a warning that you can try too hard to shelter and protect people - that micromanaging kids, people, or society can have side effects and unintended collateral damage. The expression on the girl's face at the end when she confronts the guard is almost like "I don't want your protection. Here's your shit - watch where you point it next time."
this is the ONLY song i’ve ever heard (for now) that consistently throughout the entire song is constantly building and getting better.
Wait. Jonathan didn't died! He's still alive!
Lol did you think he died? His wife died recently, maybe you got that mixed up.
@@dawson_cashwell no no. Sick said that Jonathan Davis died. I know that his wife died a few months ago. And a few days ago its was Jonathan's Birthday!
João Caldeira yeah I hadn’t got to that part when I commented this. Apologies.
@@dawson_cashwell it's ok bro
Just seen him in concert last sat. He seems pretty alivr
Wtf he is not dead 😂
His wife he was separated with died recently. Maybe people are getting that confused.
Light*In* Darkness y alredy now that 😢
Jonathan is alive and well my friend. Saw him live twice this year.
@@Xero_Fox know
@@procyon27 he better stay alive. The only metal vocalist I care about.
I like that reaction to that "beatbox" part :D
Korn is amazing man. I live for this band! I enjoy their new stuff but love the older ones (this is one of the older ones of course.)
Yeah man I’m gonna continue checking them out
The Korn fans definitely know why wanna suggest Twist..😅😂
Please check it!
Its a very short song tho
@@Justin-nq6kf yeah, I think it'd be better if he just checked it on spare time instead of reacting to it. Can't hit the 10 minute mark with Twist. 😂
*Only* if he combined it with another song reaction. 😅
@@than_487 Touche
Athanasios Toulios yeeeeeeees
Combine with ADIDAS
They tame the bullets with their music like snake charmers then redirect it. This video is so badass.

Which song is your favorite?!
Im eating pop *korn*
Good one 😂😂
Hahah so KORNy lol I tried 🤣
Ew no
Good one
Pop KoЯn
Pretty much this song is talking about the music industry, he's talking about how the label and the executives are telling him and the band how they want to sound and want to make music that is appropriate to be played on the radio. Jonathan Davis didn't want that to happen he doesn't want them to tell him and the band of how they should sound, they wanted to do what the band wants to do by being their own sound and unique. The title of the song represents Jonathan Davis that the executives looks at him like a freak and they are trying to put him on a leash, meaning they want to control him. The bullet represents the people who are trying to control him and it is shooting back at them for not doing what they are being told to do and it is searching for them and that's why is dodging the other people. And when the bullet stopped in front of Jonathan, that means he knows they shot back at him, but he is not going to let them so he shot them right back.
Exactly!!!!
In regards to his death, I believe you may have taken a quick glance but it was his wife that recently passed away. Understandable mistake haha, I see your comment section didn't take too well to the comment though XD
No, Jonathan is not dead. Try "Twist" next. I've loved watching your reaction videos. I knew you would loose-it when Jonathan started his "beatbox"! I've been a fan since seeing them back in 1996 for the first time.
I found you in a Korn nostalgia trip, and as soon as you went funky and joyful about the bass playing, I subscribed! Love a musician who loves music that much!
The video for Korn - Falling Away From Me takes off where this video ended. DEFINITELY check it out!
Korn feat. Slipknot covering Beastie boys song Sabotage... It's a live performance.. You will love it..
That’s like, 2 of the greatest metal bands together!
Jonathan Davis isn’t dead bro😂 Korn is recording a new album
Who died? Jonathan just turned 48, what are you on about? You are probably talking about Deven, his ex wife, as she was 39..
let's give this a like for jinjer-pisces (live session)!!!
Yes Jinjer
Jinjer "words of wisdon" It's heavier
Yup its the standard for reaction channels.
So impressed by your reactions!!!
Korn got me into music and being a musician 15 or so years ago. Epic and legendary band.
Back in the day Korn band members was battling drugs & alcohol abuse. Even the guitarist Brian Head Welch left the band for that reason b/c he got clean for himself and his daughter. After a few years Brian came back to the band & the band was also drug & alcohol free. During in & out of this process Johnathan Davis (lead singer of Korn) went to make some of his own solo music that's pretty cool. He just recently lost his wife Devon due to a drug overdose.
React to falling away from me and black is the soul boyy
If you want to know what's happening next, go listen to Falling Away From Me. And NO, Jonathan is not dead :')
Black is the Soul!!!! 🙌🏻👏🏻👌🏻🤘🏻🔥
Korn daddy but a fair warning this song is really dark and deep
That’s just metal for ya
I LOVE KORN SO MUCH. I LOVE ALL OF THEIR SONGS but my personal favorite is My Gift To You. :)
I love your reactions!! This is a good one hahah
"It's not too crazy with the vocals"
Well...
My favourite songs are Daddy, Coming Undone, Twisted Transistor and Dirty, I can't choose a favourite!😅
@@treyhart6861 indeed
Also it's hilarious how it has only been 2 weeks and I already have more favourite songs that I can't choose from..
Athanasios Toulios no love for A.D.I.D.A.S or “Comin’ Undone Wit It” w/ Dem Franchise Boyz?
@@eddiedingle767 honestly? After 3 months, I definitely have different favourite songs. Much love for ADIDAS though. Always will be one of my jams.
Really enjoy your analysis.
I would like to add another comment if you don't mind. You're doing an awesome job 👍👏 I absolutely love your reactions!!!
i loved how you paid attention to every little detail from bullet, to meaning of the lyrics there is not much people who dissects art that well.
Another thing you should know about Korn is how influential and important they are in the historical picture. These days you may listen to a Korn song and go "hey that reminds me of Linkin Park/Disturbed/Slipknot/Soulfly/Papa Roach/Godsmack/POD/Mudvayne/Drowning Pool (or literally hundreds of others), but you should know that when Korn came around there was nothing like them and they even made people who listened to rock or metal go "WTF is that?!". NOW they are one of the most imitated bands of all time, which is why they named the album this song was on Follow The Leader, because that's what almost the entire industry was doing by that point.
I'd reccomend just reading up on Korn's history and influence and how they changed the industry as explained by someone more better with words than me. But Korn is not just another interesting little band, historically ( as far as music), they're actually kind of a big deal, love em or hate em. I could link to articles featuring everyone from rappers to pop stars to members of Slipknot discussing first hearing Korn and it's influence on them.
I am a huge metal head, and korn is the band that got me into that.
Jonathan Davis is a genius, I believe he did the soundtrack for queen of the damned movie. It is to this day one of my favorite movie soundtracks ever
He did system with chester bennington. Fucking amazing song!
This korn reaction and Daddy made me subscribe.. Jonathan Davis is my ❤❤ I'm so glad you did this and appreciate you giving it a chance and how much you love it!! 🤘🤘
This song was everywhere in the late nineties, still owns.
My favourite Korn song is Alone I break.
One of my favorite music vids ever
Been a fan of Korn since the early 2000's they got me thru most of my childhood. It got me thru most of it specially death, depression and Bullying.
I saw korn live just recently he aint dead! Nother thing worth noting he IS now a conservative. He woke up and quit drugs. Great video sir.
9:10 when you start to feel the Power!
Favorite band!!
the freak on a leash is him. the holder of the leash is the record company trying to tell him and band what to play and how to act. the bullet is a metaphor for all the "shots" the media and music critics throw at him, the girls handing the bullet back is him firing back
I love this.
Need to check out all 3 music videos from the Untouchables album. Here to Stay, Thoughtless, and Alone I Break
The bullet was finally blessed by Korn. It was then later received by a 1st grader, 4th dimensional, white girl with pig tails. Bullet given back to the guy who tripped. He reevaluates SOP.
QED.
I luv Johnathan davis. Their first 4 albums are gold. Listened to them since the first time they were on mtv. We wont talk about how long ago that was lol
Great reaction lol 😄
Hey man, i just wanted to say that i like the way you changed your videos to a more minimalistic style with less cuts and pauses. It turns it into a more genuine experience to watch. I also really appreciate your dedication to do youtube as your full time job.
i like how he breaks down the song, most of the "hip-hop fan reacts to ____" channels just listen to it. i mean it's all enjoyable but he brings a little bit more to the table
Definitely like the new format more. Keep it up bro
Thx iamsickflowz ur the best freak on a leash is my favorite (it’s coolserg)
Best Band ever...more KoRn!!
Thanks🤘👍🤘💖
Here to stay
8:45 'What Just Happened', He Says... YOU MET THE FREAK, THAT'S WHAT!!
Been listening to this since I was 6.
9:12 LMFAO!!! OMGG I LOVEEEE YOUR REACTION AHAHAHA FN SWESOME MAN 👊👊😂😂😂😂
Check out the songs from the Queen Of The Damned soundtrack,Jonathan Davis the singer of Korn wrote and did the songs for the movie, and there’s two versions of each song because he did the vocals in the movie but when came to the soundtrack he couldn’t because it was put out by a different record label so he got his friends Chester Bennington from Linkin Park, Wayne Static from Static X,Marilyn Manson,David Draiman from Disturbed and Jay Gordon from Orgy to do vocals , so look up both versions of the songs System,Not Meant For Me,Redeemer,Forsaken, and Slept So Long
Gran video brooou
Jonathan davis ma man
I was waiting for cookie monster freak out reaction. I used to worship KoRn in high school back when they were super popular.
I've seen JD perform live twice this year on his solo tour and have KoRn tickets for July, so yeah he's definately still alive! KoRn kixx azz!♡♡♡
Actually the solo thing was last year, im still stuck in 2018! ¿¿
Do some more System of a Down!!!!!!!
Love it! Glad to see the channel grow
I'm a big korn fan, faves are;
Here to stay
Falling away from me
Rotting in vain
Love and meth
Shoots and ladders
Need to
When you coming to uk?!
Some great Korm songs that deserve a reaction :)
Daddy-- this song is deep. It literally made my husband and son tear up when they listened. You have to go into this song mentally prepared for pain and anguish.
Blind
Coming Undone
Did My Time
Falling away from me is the follow-up to this
JDs scatting I think people take too literally and try to take lyrics from but either way, listen to Twist if you liked the beatbox lol
I think the bullet represents people taking shots at them but not only do they miss bust he sends it right back and it always comes back to the shot taker in the end
Korn blind live @ woodstock 99
Hollow Life, no doubt. Heavy song and heavy lyrics. Amazing!
Great video.
Yall want a single, Right Now, Blind, Ball Tongue, Hater, Clown, Got The Life
Korn is my favorite band, every username I have is something to do with Korn.
Yeah you really should check out more Korn albums 1-4 are where it's at (That's Korn, Life Is Peachy, Follow The Leader (where this song is from), and Issues). Though alot of there albums are pretty good though after Issues that started to decrease in quality. The only two exceptions are Take A Look In The Mirror and Korn III: Remember Who You are. Fortunately they started getting good again with The Paradigm Shift and The Serenity Of Suffering. Yes, there are good songs in between Issues and The Paradigm Shift that aren't from the mentioned exceptions like, Thoughtless, but overall those albums are sub-par at best. Their first four albums are still the best IMO. With that being said, for your next Korn reaction you should Falling Away From Me, which is from their Issues album.
Nooooo, 1-4. After Issues is where they started falling off.
Self Titled is a classic. 1-4 are amazing. Then Serenity of Suffering is a killer new album.
@@darvr5697 Yeah, sorry, I just said that because I preferred Life Is Peachy over Korn, I changed it.
@@paulworby-ryan2384 Yeah, they sure are, I changed it
Coolest negligent discharge I have ever seen
Next song has to be Falling Away From Me. The video for it continues from the end of this video.
Jonathan Davis is definitely not dead. I saw Korn in Amsterdam not so long ago. 😂
Jonathan Davis in a kilt is everything!
Jonathan Davies is not dead 😭 I had to go check you gave me a fright 😁
I love korn bro!
Listen to Children Of the Korn by Korn featuring Ice Cube
Jonathan Davis is very alive still making music with korn... the band was sex drugs and rock n roll until the early 2000s (now it's just rock n roll) ... in my opinion freak on a leash is J.D. gaining control of his life from substance abuse. The bullet being the substance. How many close calls has he had in the video followed by facing it head on. Again this is how a fan since the 90s interprets this video. Make your own judgement. On the lighter side I enjoy the enthusiasm!
Korn has to many good songs to have a favorite lol
I always knew korn but never liked them excessively... but I have just discovered their song "Alone I break" and I love it.. Just try it out
OMG THATS ONE OF MY FAV SONGS BRO. i relate to it so hard (sorry this is random lol)
The song 'Daddy' by them explains a lot about him. Tough song and very sad.
Jonathan Davis has some great solo work as well ❤️
Korn- shoots and ladders is my favorite
Yew! KoRn! Fav songs would definitely be Ya’ll wanna single, Last legal drug, Alone I break! Argh please react to those... would make me a happy Aussie gal 🙏❤️
It's called "scatting". A trademark of Korn now, but scatting has roots in the blues. :)
Jonathan Davis is NOT dead, his wife died recently but he is alive and well.
Korn is my favorite band
Same here :D
My Guy! Korn - Did my Time!!! or Thoughtless oooooo Thoughtlesss! nice reaction mang.
Definitely should watch Korn - Falling away from me. Which is sort of a sequel to this song. Also because you like Linkin Park how about you check out Mike Shinoda - Can't hear you now.
You gotta check out both Did My Time and Here to Stay by Korn
My first time listening to this I had the same reaction to the breakdown. I'm a huge KoRn fan, have met Jonathan Davis, and go to every live show I can. Loved the video! If you're interested in more KoRn, check out "Love and Meth".
This video visually and artistically was styled to be about how bullets and gun violence doesn't discriminate and are killing innocent people especially children being victims of gun violence but the other interpretation some have come away with watching this video is that the bullet can represent anything that can be done by a bullet or government that can hurt real people when trying to control or harm them. But the song is actually about how various industries like for them their music label they were under and governments like to control you making you perform like a "Freak on a Leash" always under some form of control. Korn is a hard core grunge rock/heavy metal band with a pinch of beatbox at least in that album. They were very unique back in 1999 to be in that genre and add that beatbox style to grunge heavy metal and still sound authentically metal. They have another animay-video from this album a bit more dark subject than this one called "Falling away from Me". Thanks for the reaction 👍
Good song 👍🔥🔥
Favorite song: It's On!
Shoots and Ladders it's one of there first hits
Korn- Falling Away from Me; that video takes place after this video. Check it out!
