    Hiw much do you think that coolant pipe repair would cost at an independent. Rough Guess?

      @@r2swift404 Yea that plastic pipe looks like it's worth about $2. Have you had to replace thermostat and water pump yet?

    Oh my! I just uploaded a video with the same issue! Was at the dealer in April cause all I smelled was coolant. They replaced thermostat and a few hoses. Beginning of June got notification to turn engine off n check coolant level. I knew something wasn’t right all along as I continued to smell coolant even after what they fixed. They obviously overlooked something. Please watch my video so you can see.. video called Audi A7 coolant leak help...your input will be appreciated

      R2SWIFT thanks so much for your input. It’s going to the dealer next Tuesday. Just always like to get more knowledge before going there ,sometimes I just don’t trust the dealer. These cars maintenance cost ain’t cheap. And I just went out of warranty at the end of April...but whatever it is there’re going to fix that as if I had warranty cause they looked over the problem the first time Lol! I’ll be dammed 😂

      R2SWIFT thank you I will report back. Went to your channel and watched one about the mechatronic unit...heard about that and scares me big time lol..the ones who had to get that replaced with some similar quirks that my car got...said Audi of America needs to see ECU data to confirm a known issue and that the dealers equipment wouldn’t produce a specific code to pinpoint the mechatronic. Had fuel rail recall in April as well and swear that cars not the same since. It lightly bucks here and there depending on what kind of load pressure you give it,usually a quicker acceleration. Sorry for rambling. I’m going to bing watch a few of your videos over the weekend,seem very informational and interesting

    Hi! I was looking for parking in a mall yesterday when the car got overheated all of a sudden, the temperature went high could see the steam coming out of the engine with the water showers coming out all of sudden that brought the temperature down.. it started giving the coolant sign .. I anyways managed to reach back home.. the next morning I tried filling up the coolant tank.. re started the car that wouldn’t start when it finally did I noticed the steering was locked.. it would just drive straight back and forth but no turning.. any idea what’s going on.. and there seems to be a water leak happening under the car too.. it is Audi A6. Any advice please ?

    Hi, I have the same engine and wonder if you can help me - I see you have a new intake; where is the Air Mass Flow sensor? also did you upgrade the supercharger with the smaller pulley?

    • @abeibrahim5846
      @abeibrahim5846 5 років тому

      @@r2swift404 But I thought this engine also has a MAF sensor, to measure the air mass going into the engine so it can calculate the amount of fuel needed; or does it use the MAP sensor to do that? I also like the way you cleaned your engine compartment (somewhat jeluse :-) ) was it done professionally or did you do it, Thanks!

    The connection pipe that goes from beneath the thermostat housing to the rear of the engine--do you know what that pipe is called?

      @@r2swift404 My friend, I replaced thermostat and both plastic coolant tubes. I am now having slow leak from thermostat connection with front coolant tube. Is it possible my coolant cap is bad creating too much pressure in system? I was loosing coolant before because "pcv was bad" so I did overhaul of most of coolant system and pcv, and now for some reason the front connection of thermostat is leaking even though both parts are brand new. Somehow it leaks on the front of the engine and I also have a some coolant in the valley even though pcv is new.
      thanks

      @@r2swift404 I am thinking I might have bad O ring or rolled o-ring. It leaks so little but still leaks and all parts are new. I will try to see if new o-ring will fix it. Thanks for reply!!
