    Last time I was out at the dragstrip I saw incredibly high Intake Air Temps and a bunch of coolant was missing from my reservoir. Thank goodness I log my car so frequently that I knew that something was seriously wrong and I needed to stop drag racing. As much as I missed filming some of the repair, I tried my best to catch all of the action for you to see how Kyle from Reiter Performance diagnosed and then fixed the issue at hand.

    Knew from the previous video that the culprit was the PCV.
    Had the same exact problem on my A6 with the same motor. My coolant was basically sludge and found just in time to save the motor.
    Very common on the 3.0TFSI.

After a month I lost all oil pressure on the highway and the motor went boom. My PCV valve was in the way out so I’m guessing that was the culprit

    a year ago. I had the same loss of antifreeze, my car is a 2013 S4. AUDI MEXICO claimed that it was an overheating of the engine, 3 times they removed the engine without evidence of what they alleged. in an audizine forum I saw the same fault and commented that it is the PCV valve. AUDI didn't have any technical bulletin about it and they didn't know what was going on. AUDI GERMANY also did not know what caused the leak. I insisted that the PCV valve be replaced and problems ending a whole year after being in the Audi workshop.

    Morning. I have a big problem with my VW Golf 5 1.9 TDI 77KW 2008. I have been trying to solve the problem I have with the consumption of both engine oil and antifreeze for several months without success. The fact is that the engine consumes approximately 1 liter of oil per 1000 km, but what is difficult to understand is that the consumption of antifreeze also occurs at the same time, also about 1 liter per month, so the levels of both fluids are constantly decreasing. What is noticeable is that every 10 days of driving, the hose from the uberlauf gets dirty, so that in the area from the PCV valve to the pipe itself, grease accumulates, like chocolate mixed with milk, which for me indicates a mixture of oil and antifreeze. During those ten days, the grease clogs approximately 3/4 of the space in the pipe, however, it is never found in the suction hose itself towards the intake manifold. As for the engine, it has covered 330,000 km, it behaves normally while driving, has good power, there is no significant smoke from the exhaust, the oil in the crankcase is always brown and when I check its level, I never notice any admixtures of water, there are no external leackages on the engine. Therefore what im doubting now is that the problem is actually in PCV valve, that it's only thing that causes creating mixture of oil and water? Sorry for the long text but I would really be extremely grateful for your opinion regarding this problem, any help is welcome and appreciated.

    • @VancityAudi

    • @mrfacoofeetsh
      @mrfacoofeetsh Рік тому

      @@VancityAudi thanks for your quick response and opinion. At first i was immediately suspecting on head gasket, however what i cannot understand in this case is how it's possible to have consumption of 1 liter per 1000km of both oil and coolant. For example, if the coolant mixes with oil in the head gasket, how its possible to have such a significant loss of oil, shouldnt the oil level on dipstick increase in this case, or at least remain about the same? This is the main reason i started to suspect on oil separator/pcv valve, however im not sure is it even possible to have this oil/coolant mixture only due to faulty pcv, does the coolant go through this valve at all?
