  • First open water fishing trip was a blast! In fact, it was my best opening day fishing at Buffalo Pound dam, thanks to the extremely high water level this spring. Fish were highly concentrated and aggressive on any lure casted their way. Hope you guys had a wonderful early spring fishing season! Stay tuned for part 2 of this memorable day.

Any suggestions on where to park / hike to for fishing here? I have never been, but would like to do a day trip. A suggestion or two of an area to try park would be helpful :) (not looking to expose your fishing spots!!!)

Oh don't worry about it. This spot has been exposed for years but there doesn't seem to be a lot more people fishing it this year... I guess I'm not famous enough to draw attention haha. Buffalo Pound provincial Park has lots of hiking trails and has the best bike trails around Regina area. The South end provincial Park even has a swimming pool. There's also kayak rentals too. Lots of outdoor activities you can do at the park.

I think there are still some pike in the spillway by the dam. You should really try there. Message me on Instagram if you want more details.

Haha no offense but the pike and walleye fishing there does suck. Trout fishing is great! Thanks for watching Brian!

A great day Tom. Notice how you had to shed some blood before you started catching Walleye. I’m looking forward to part 2.

In your thumbnail for this video.
Who are you handing the fish to ??
Your arms are extended straight out.
Are you hand the fish to someone, or just trying to artificially make it seem bigger.
DON'T be THAT guy dude, that is sooooo lame !!!

It's all about the fish Jim, if you know anything about camera taking photos. The closer the object is, the more details you can see on the fish. I don't even remember how long the fish was but trying to show people how fat the belly is on her. When I long arm the fish it's easier for the photographer to get both myself in the pic and great details on the fish. And did you noticed that I manually cropped the fish and color graded just the fish to show more saturated colors and sharpness to better showcase the beauty of this fish. Myself was blurred, I did it for the sole purpose of showcasing the beauty of this walleye, that's it.
