@@jdawson7877 That's even harder to do than Unleashed, because everything would need to be changed! Graphics need to be upgraded, wide-screen, Fps. Making Adventure look good is quite the hassle compared to Unleashed. I like Adventure but it is significantly harder to remaster.

If the day comes, I'd rather see a different studio do the remaster. Not a fan of how Colors Ultimate is looking. Wouldn't call it 110% if they didn't even fix Sonic's animation interpolation.
We also need to fix that button cramp and medal methods.

if you've seen the new clip (premy did a video on it) it seems that the clips we've gotten were from very old builds. the most recent clip looks amazing tbh
@@haanimirza4090 Except there is no lighting. Sonic looks 90% bright in Asteroid Coaster, much brighter than in the Wii version. Same with Planet Wisp. It's as if they forgot how light works and just removed shadows altogether
@@Onaterdem I know being a Lighting artist myself. I don't think Lighting for Sonic colors needed to be changed or would be hard to improve on but shit they made it look worse

I feel like with a lot of the stuff you listed, modders could've added within a month if the game just got ported to PC. *For the love of God* , even if we get no Ultimate/remastered version, SEGA should port the game to PC because then modders will just *make their OWN Ultimate or Remastered version of the game.* All of these things really wouldn't be that hard to implement because as you said, they aren't core issues with the game, just things that would need to be tweaked so people could have more choice in how they want to play the game and thus a broader audience could *enjoy the game* .
P.S. Using only Sonic Unleashed music for the symphony is kinda baity ngl. Using that music and that music *alone* instead of the music for your new remaster and that is literally coming out in *months* , is a sure-fire way to get people to start making assumptions.

i think one of the reasons unleashed got a lot of hate when it first came out was because people were still pretty bitter about 06 unleashed came out at a time it was considered cool to hate on sonic i'm sure if it came out around mania and forces people would loved it

The way you say people don't want to play challenging games anymore would make me scared for Eggman Land. That stage's insane length and difficulty makes it one of my favorite Sonic stages ever and I'd hope they never ruin it.

I just played played Sonic Unleashed for the Wii for my first time (I haven’t played the HD version ever), and it was a blast. I hope we get an unleashed port so I can play the full version

Best Sonic game imo. It deserved the ultimate treatment more so than Colors. Colors on Wii was already a good game with no real issues, while Sonic Unleashed on Ps3/360 had frame rate issues, but with a remaster it could be an almost perfect game. As for the werehog stages, they should be handled like the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed, in which there were 3 or so acts and each took around 5 or 6 minutes to complete.
i disagree about how the werehog stages are handled one thing i didn't like about the night stages in the wii version is because there split into 3 acts it made it feels like there were more night stages then day stages
@@jdawson7877 Yes, but it made the werehog stages less of a chore since you weren't gonna be 20 minutes doing the same thing. They just need to make more daytime stages so that the pacing feels balanced.
Playing it on series x fixes the framerate issues and upscales to 4K

Heres my list for changes i want in unleashed:
-homing attacked not attached to the same button as boost
-making sun and moon medals unnesecary to progress
-make werehog mouvement speed 1.5×faster
-make combos rewarding and spamming boutons punishing by making a system like the more you hit an ennemy with the same attack the less damage you do until you dont damage them any more ....

I really do think if there is of course no Unleashed port announcement at the symphony. We as fans should shout for it because Sonic Unleashed is straight up the swan song of the franchise that should be accessible. In my opinion, the changes that Unleashed needs is optional medal earning, easier werehog leveling, 60fps, Chip's Save (because he needs more gameplay screentime lol), and of course include all the DLC on the front-gate.

@@Sonic_Hedgehog853 omg the jump needs fixing too, the reason why I don't like the drift tho is bc of the arc that it's in, it's too wide and it's hard to make sharp turns, especially when boosting
More things need to be fix too like the homing attack button, the jump, and Sonic's traction

something that i thought about the "chip saving you from pits" that could make everyone happy is that it will be something that you could buy in a shop with rings (they could also put other upgrades on a shop to make it even more valuable to get rings and replay levels) for exemple you buy 2 chip saves so if you fall, you can get saved by chip and put back in the stage up to 2 times but after you use all of your saves and fall in a pit again, you lose a life and go to the last checkpoint. The other thing that i think would be a good idea is that chip saves are only for the night stages because it's there where falling in a pit is the most punishing.

Today I want to talk about a Sonic game that I hold very close to my heart and that is Sonic Unleashed
This game is crazy, controversial and very high budget. I love Sonic Unleashed but this game has some very mixed opinions

Even as someone personally very biased against Unleashed, there's no denying your ideas for a remaster are on point, Matt. It doesn't necessarily need a forced Tails save mechanic for people who enjoy the regular difficulty, but having an option available for an easier mode-- yes, please.
At least Unleashed is actually hard and it's very easy to fall to your death, so a save system makes more sense here than in Colors.

If it’s not optional I hope they still keep lives so you can have tails saves and lives so you won’t have to grind for lives all the time and if you fall down a pit you could use a tails save so you won’t waste your lives.

Lost World was just.. mediocre at best. Not abysmal, but not very great either. It’s a mixed bag.
That's heavily debatable. I'd say SA2 holds the title. I'm pretty sure even Matt mentioned that in his "What Is The Most Loved Sonic Game?" video. I'd also agree with Brownie that 06 was largely ambitious regardless of how the game came out.
I hate the idea of placing the goal ring in the Werehog stages early. The levels would feel very incomplete. When the Werehog's experience is maxed out, it goes by so quickly. So I think the real rework there should be the stats system. Whether it's cut out and they have their maxed out stats from the start, or if they keep it pretty much the same, but remove the strength stat and just have the Werehog have max strength from the start. Even just making the enemies die in noticeably less hits or so. I think there's things they could do to help the Werehog move through stages faster, rather than shortening the levels.

I personally think only having the day or night stages would no longer make it unleashed. The main principle of the game is the difference between the two styles. It's like only eating the filling of an oreo. You might like it but it's not a full cookie.

@@Skye2993 Why, is just like an extra mode. For example, after the game ends you can use amy in day levels. And tails can have missions to collect clothes for sonic and werehog.

for the sun medals, they can have you get them based on how fast you beat the stage, warehog could be based off combos or keep it how it is

In a remaster of Unleashed, they could change the medal system or add modes, as they are doing in Colors apart from improving the controls and going to 60fps.
Even so, they will not be able to touch anything on the stages, which would continue to last the same as in the original, although in my opinion, I would like that they would continue to last the same and that it is just as challenging as the original.
Stuff I would like to see in a potential remaster for Sonic Unleashed:
-include all of the DLC Levels and have them be unlocked after you beat the game
-keep the voice acting the same but remix the music a bit
-lower the amount of sun and moon medals required to complete the game to 70 each, and the rest of them be used to unlock extra stages or maybe concept art
-Have the homing attack be mapped to the jump button and not the boost button so you don't accidentally do the air boost when you mean to do the homing attack
-improve the frame rate (obviously)
-Have the sonic parts of the final boss with dark gaia be back to back like the Nintendo Wii version
And lastly have an option to get rid of quick time events
I just remembered if one thing should be included, it's Unlimited Unleashed Mode specifically in the HD Version because he moves much faster on his feet so I think that would make it better but it has to be a reward after beating the game and so it's not forced, have the feature optional just like the Super Costume in Devil May Cry, it's a really enjoyable reward but requires to beat the Dante Must Die Difficultly in order to get it or in many of the games or 1, use the cheat code to unlock everything.

I see some MAJOR problems with your ideas. While I love unleashed as it was my childhood game, I desperately also want a remaster.
What they need to do is make everything you are talking about OPTIONAL. It can not be mandatory or that will be souring the experience for unleashed fans.
Shorter wherehog stages would put man hours into the dumpster and push over the people who actually like the wherehog. Also I think sun and moon medals should still be in the game, along with lives. Unleashed is suppose to be difficult. It’s a hack and slash too.
My solution is when making a save file, similar to manias no save option, you get to create what’s included. That being unlimited lives, no medals, and shorter werehog stages. BUT choosing outside of the default sonic unleashed experience is fine but will disable achievements and you can not change the options back after making the save file. You will need to delete it if you decide you want to play sonic unleashed how it was released. This is prevent abusing exp or breaking achievements. This will allow people who are inexperienced with sonic to enjoy it without pissing off the people who want to play what they grew up with it.
Also eggmanland would lose a lot of the challenge with unlimited lives

To fix the issue with people not being able to play a challenging game, just give the option to choose a difficultly.

Sun metals get you skins like Amy, silver and shadow. Moon metals get you. Well. I was gonna say were forms of al the above. But they could also do rogue and knuckles skins lmao. But stretchy arms

Bro I just finished your review of Sonic Unleashed
They should make an easy mode and a hard mode. In easy mode, the medal requirements are shorter, and as for the werehog stages there are less enemy waves but you get double the experiment points, and this all makes Unleashed more approachable and better paced with much less tedium especially since werehog stages will be completed much faster for novices. Hard mode is basically the original Unleashed game with no alterations and is for players who are good enough to easily handle a lot that the game throws at you since the original release. This is for pro players who can beat 30 min long werehog stages in 10 minutes or less.
If IGN thought Sonic Forces was decent. IMAGINE what the new people think of sonic unleashed if they review it again!
I feel the medals could be used for ending
Like in sonic 2 for example
If you don't collect the emeralds you get the normal ending
But if you do you get the super sonic ending
And here's what I would do for the dark Gaia boss
So without the medals the boss would be this
Chip and dark Gaia would trade blows and chip begins to take some heavy shots and he needs time to reconstruct the Gaia collosus
Sonic would jump out of the Gaia collosus and say something Akin too
"Chip i,I, buy you some time you just worry about reconstructing the temples"
Sonic lands onto one of the boss platforms and the boss begins
After the intro two giant platforms would rise from the lava
Dark Gaia would tons of health because he is the final boss
Way more health than the death egg
Dark Gaia would throw rocks at sonic and in order to dodge these the player can boost away or jump
And for his other attacks he would summon a beam and fire across and the platforms and it can be dodged by jumping
And he would follow sonic and scratch his giant claws and three claw marks would flash
For his next attack smaller rocks would appear and go to the other end of the screen
Dark Gaia would roar and purple mist would spew from his body and rise up causing huge rocks to fall down and crash onto the platforms and once he gets lower he gets more aggressive
After he's defeated dark Gaia would roar and lower his giant claws (a press a certain button like scene)
After the player presses x (Using a ps4 controller for reference)
Sonic lands on another platform exhausted from his fight with the dark God as dark Gaia charges a beam
Chip dashes in the way and blocks it (Basically the tap x 50x scene)
Chip tells sonic to get out of the way and the battle between the moon and sun God begins
This would be a completely different fight from before and dark Gaia grows in power
There would be three main buttons for chip
O = Sidestep
X = Ascend
□ = Attack
R2/L2 = Guard
(Extra stuff)
Ground slam = ⬇️ + □
Charge punch = Hold □
Dark Gaia would have many attacks in his first phase
Claw
Beam
Rock
Lava rise
Planet quake
Beam v2 (just a vertical beam which most mostly would be used after the horizontal one)
Over time the attacks would get faster and the player has 120 seconds to complete the fight
At his max his moves would 1.5 times faster
And after he's defeated
Dark gaia shakes off the last attack and something unexpected happens (for the characters)
Chip thinks that he defeated dark Gaia but the monster growls and begins to transform to perfect dark Gaia
A purple aura overtakes the moon God and he begins to fight the Gaia collosus after the two trade blows chip lands a lethal strike damaging dark Gaia and dashes back starting the fight
His attacks are almost completely different and he has 3 bars of health
His main attacks are
Shield
Dark snakes (auto aim at the Gaia collosus doing good damage)
Beam
Electric snakes (stun the player and doing barely any damage)
Claw
And a attack similar to galeem (he opens his eye and Shockwaves travel through the earth)
Agrresive attacks
Triple rock throw (auto aiming rocks)
Triple slash (three claw strikes)
Electric snakes (projectiles now)
Giant beam (a far bigger beam)
(And just more aggressive and fast attacks)

I really like the werehog combat, i would like to have a hard werehog mode that has more enemies and more enemy health. The red titan from ps2 and wii versions is cool, i'd like to see that one, maybe a red version of every enemy? Also more XP per enemy and level clearance or less XP requirement per skill level up since the werehog needs so much of it to unlock new moves.
