SEGA and Sonic Team should rename Christian Whitehead and his team "Sonic Team Jr." and have them work on 2D games (classic or modern) in between the big 3D games.
I can honestly see them doing that. Besides Dimps Christian whitehead is who I trust with a 2D sonic game

Honestly I think with Unleashed all they need to do is give the werehog individual stage battle themes that match the stages setting like in the Hub worlds

They should take some inspiration from Insomniacs Spider-Man. Just changing the pace of the music and fading different instruments in would be nice.

@@raptorzeraora2632 technically the switch is more powerful than a 360 so, the switch should have no problem running Sonic Unleashed or Generations

It would need a huge overhaul. Day stages were fantastic but the night stages were roo long, tedious and kinda unfun. The plane minigame was horrible.

I think it they should make “Sonic Adventures collection” with Sonic adventure, SA2, Heros, Sonic the fighters, and sonic 3d blast for the Sega Saturn. I think it would be amazing seeing these Sega Saturn styled games on new hardware!

06 remaster could easily be the best 3d sonic game if done right
Adventure games for the love of god. They're great games but haven't aged too well. Definitely need updated and remade versions. Sonic 06 needs to be remade too. That game had such amazing potential but was held back by awful controls and being unfinished. Generations and Unleashed have aged fine. It's no contest which games needs the remake.
Maybe not a remake but a port (similar to SADX but better)
@Shardsoftime09 The Adventure games are a bit janky in certain aspects and need to be refined. Plus we've had enough ports of them. The remake treatment would be perfect for those games. Like what was done with the N Sane Trilogy.
@sonic 1995 a remaster isn’t a remake. Adventure 1 and 2 have already gotten remasters. Personally I think a complete overhaul is what’s needed for adventure 1

I'd love a sonic rush remaster. They could finally put blaze at the center of attention again instead of being degraded to silvers sidekick.

yeah proj. 06 is a thing, but that's a fan project and is limited to only pc.
a remaster of 06 with all the old bugs fixed, a fresh coat of paint, etc, would REALLY make the game sm better
they can also get rid of loading after doing literally anything. (like how exiting dialogue menus sends you into a loading screen, etc.)

If Sega and Sonic Team were to re-release the OG Sonic Riders on modern day platforms, with online play, crossplay, rollback netcode, and potential dlc racers from Sega's past games (looking at you Jet Set Radio), I would literally not play ANYTHING else
I feel like the Knuckles Paramount+ Series will be an adaptation of Adventure 1, but focusing on Knuckles and his past. So, I think the most likely is Sonic Adventure 1

They really should reboot Sonic Riders basing it off the first game
I hope it's going to be Unleashed, but like, let us have a "Remaster" experience with slight changes to gameplay, or customisation or OST and "Classic" experience which is basically Unleashed, but fit for modern consoles and PC

I finally got a steam deck and it is a dream being able to emulate and play Unleashed on the go
Along with Black Knight, Rush, Heroes, Riders, Unwiished, etc.

Id really like to see how theyd remaster SA 2, possibly a basic and common answer, but with technology advanced from then,i really look forward to the cutscenes and the way they portray the character + improved voice acitng

A Sonic Unleashed or Sonic Adventure 2 Remaster would be pretty cool because they were the first 3D modern sonic games I ever played, not including Sonic 3D Blast.

Honestly the game had so much potential but they won’t remaster it. It’s best to leave that game in the past. I would love if they took the gameplay idea, level design and characterisation.

It's unlikely, Sonic generation is already a masterpiece itself, and its graphics is still relevant. A remake on ps5 would be unnecessary
I think its going to boil down to Heroes or Unleashed, both big anniversary's for both games this year. I think a handheld collection would also be wonderful, Advance 1,2,3 and the Rush Games in one app would be super cool.

Underrated channel
I feel like a lot of Colours ultimate issues came from it being a Wii exclusive in my opinion. Something like Unleashed, Generations, or even Forces rewritten would be easier as they were Xbox and PlayStation released games, platforms that they will re release on, not release on for the first time
Edit: a big question about Unleashed and games before that is the voice acting, Sega might not remaster Unleashed, Heroes, or 06 due to it not being Roger behind the wheel. Just something to think about
Ok we can have Sonic The Fighters remake. But what if I said instead of that we get a entirely new Sonic fighting game with a big roster, new moves and HD 60fps graphics

I’m still surprised by how glitchy Colours Ultimate is for everyone else. My copy runs perfectly and so I don’t have any problems with it. Although because I never played the original, I was also surprised how short the levels were. That’s not a bad thing, I was just genuinely surprised…
I’d love to either see the 1st Riders get a remaster or the Adventure titles get a massive graphical overhaul with HD/4K graphics. Those games could look SO much better, given how great they looked back in the day.
I’m only against Unleashed because it already looks super good, definitely one of the top 10 games of the 4th console generation in terms of visual presentation. For not having ray tracing, the Hedgehog Engine produces some insanely good lighting. How much better can you make it look when it’s graphics still feel super current?
Unleashed is one of my favorite Sonic games, which is why I'm playing it right now for the thousandth time. I think a Remaster would be amazing!
Sonic Boom Shattered Crystal and Fire & Ice should get a remaster
They should have ChaosX remaster the Adventure games, and maybe even give him more resources to finish P-06 and have it be released officially.
Or they'll do like other higher-ups and shove deadlines down their throats.

I’m hoping for one that’s hard to come by, like Sonic Heroes or Shadow the Hedgehog.
After colors ultimate, I doubt they'll keep on remastering older games, but if they do I hope it's either unleashed or a black knight remake that supports both motion controls for switch users and normal controls/handheld.
They need to remaster Sonic 06 and make it actually good

I for one want a sonic heroes remaster. It makes so much sense, just like how they remastered super Mario sunshine.
The rocket acceleration, 2 player racing and versus mode, and maybe you can do cosmetics for that. It's a really good and underrated game, one of my favorites of all time

Hello, I’m from 4 months after this video. And I’m here to say that there is in fact a new project happening, Sonic Superstars. A 2.5d sonic game with 4 playable characters and co-op and Nack the Weasel ad a main antagonist
I liked Sonic Colors Ultimate and Sonic Origins, and I still play both them sometimes.
My top 3 remasters should be Unleashed, Generations,and Heroes.
If SEGA and Sonic Team are planning Unleashed Ultimate, they should:

1. Make the Werehog Battle theme and medal collection optional for the game (and if on, werehog theme plays when unleashed and medals are for act 2s and 3s)
2. Have the werehog movements be faster, and the jump higher. And change name to Gaiahog.
3. Get rid of those pauses in the night stages when you press a button.
4. Put Homing attack on A, Cross, and Space (or LMB)
5. Give Unleashed a Hedgehog Engine 2 upgrade for some fantastic graphics to complement the visuals.
6. Increase the attack speed of the night enemies, so they can actually serve as a challenge.
7. Graphics and Control settings, so that we can alter them (e.g. changing controls for day and night, higher resolution and fps support, etc.)
8. Make Super Sonic available after the end of the game.
9. Allow modding support, so that we can have endless possibilities (maybe some larger hub worlds).
10. Give us more save slots and difficulty levels (light gaia = easy, sonic = normal, unleashed = hard, dark gaia = super hard)
11. Lower the level cap so that its easier to upgrade throughout the game and less grindy.
12. Most importantly, don't botch it up. I don't want the Colours Ultimate treatment for Unleashed. Bring someone competent.

I would love a Sonic Unleashed remaster/remake, especially if it included the Unwiished stages too, possibly even the bonus stages that were hidden in side missions in that game. I would say that it should include the segmented boost as an option.
Also, you've got potential dude, but you need to dial it back and chill out a bit.
I hope unleashed as it has amazing cgi, cutscenes, story, gameplay and overall, favourite game
I wouldn’t mind a sonic game gear collection with the the master system games also, kind of like of the Aladdin and lion king collection having the different versions
I have never played Sonic Unleashed and considering how much people like it and the fact that it looks like the frontiers cyber space levels but way faster makes me hope it gets a re master.

The wii version of unleashed made the medals simple you just have to beat a stage and get rewarded with medals.

we’re not getting another mainline for the next years, but i could see a generation remake. yes i know its compatible with mod’s designed by game bananna, it could be more polished, better framed cut scenes, and better dialogue.
Personally if they'd do something with generations I would want a new generations with different stages from the original gens, or maybe keeping the original stages and adding a new set of stages as well. Probably not happening though.

When they said 2022 would be Sonic's year, I thought we were getting pretty much nothing. So glad I was wrong. I'm now hoping for an Unleashed remaster. Unleashed doesn't exist on PC so at least a port would be enough for me.
And now, here are some games that REALLY should get a remaster:
SegaSonic the Hedgehog: I just wanna be able to play this game.
Sonic R: It would be great if its issues were fixed, only problem is, there are a lot of them.
Sonic 1 (Master System): No, I don’t want to go to Brazil just for a Master System, that thing is the store-brand NES but it had some good games!

I would love it if they remastered sonic unleashed. If they did remaster sonic unleashed they would probably improve the textures, improve sonic's models and fix the lip syncing. But if they wanted to add any more sonic lines, I say that option is long gone. But above everything here, DON'T REMASTER THE MUSIC.

Hope it'll be Unleashed or a remake of Heroes. But I'm kinda worried that Sega will make it Generations, which...
...well, it's a game that I don't really think needs remastering. There's no real need to update the visuals since the game still looks *very* good, and it's got an excellent PC port that still runs flawlessly on modern systems and will probably work fine on any decent laptop these days.
Which means for a whole lot of people if they wanted to buy a version of it that would be more convenient to play they could just go on Steam right now -- and at least for folks on Playstation they'd even be able to plug in the same controller.
Plus Generations has got an actual modding scene which... well, I don't know how a remake of the game would affect that. It would depend how it was done. But I'd wager the decision of how to do it would probably be made without them in mind.
I'd like to see Sonic Lost World get a remaster for ps5, series x and switch.
They probably don't want to remaster Sonic Unleashed for several reasons. The quality of the game, story, and the cutscenes are far better than what they produced in the 2010s (maybe not the Werehog parts of the game but I thought they were fun). Also I feel like they don't want to go back in time to where Sonic had a different voice
But adventure 1 and 2 have Ryan drummond and they're still on Steam
Also it doesn't necessarily need to be a remaster, just a pc port
