My beloved Pomeranian "Noodles" passed away two-months ago at 11 years old from a collapsed trachea. He was my love, he left such an emptiness that I got a Pomeranian puppy for Christmas. A beautiful baby boy "Oliver". I'm watching all of your videos and they are so helpful, thank you so much !
I've never potty trained a puppy, but after two kids, I think I'm done with having to potty train anyone else 😂 I love how attentive to detail you are, and there's so many good tips in here. Definitely going to remember this video for the next time anyone I know gets a puppy!
Aww thank you so much!💕I've accumulated knowledge about dogs after owning/helping to take care of many dogs in my life, making my own mistakes, and through reading a lot of research. Hopefully through my videos, people won't have to struggle as much as I did when I first became a dog owner a long time ago.
I’m really happy you added timestamps because they are really helpful. I can see that you train your pup so well Jane and when Cece is faced backwards, it looks like a desert that I want to touch 🤣❤️❤️ Potty schedules are really important too because your dog could pee anywhere without you knowing 😄
I’m here to brag, I remember Genie learned to go potty outside the next day after I brought her home because she was waking me up at 3 o’clock in the morning asking to pee outside.🤣 This is a great video, I like all the time stamps you are giving in the description!
Omgg Genie is the star haha! I mean after watching many of Genie’s videos, it doesn’t surprise me though because I can clearly tell how smart she is (and of course how good her mom is at training her too) hehe! 💕💕
Aww thank you - much appreciated! 💕 Yes we plan on releasing more content to help Pom owners in the future so stay tuned! Did you just recently get your first Pom?
@@CeceFamily Yes I am a first fur mom and we have him for about a year now. Struggling about what to do and stuff but mostly use my instinct and help from the vet.
My little pomeranian passed away a few days ago, and I've been watching a lot of pom vids, to cheer me up. I have to point out, your little pom almost looks just like mine, except with different colors, so this really made me happy. I will miss my baby, thankyou for this though! (also, is your pom in this video purebred, or do they have any breeds mixed in?)
I’m so sorry for your loss! Big hugs to you! She’s a purebred we believe since she has a pedigree certificate. We’re curious if she looks like a mixed Pom to you? (Asking because we’re thinking of doing a DNA test to confirm at some point in the future too) 😋
Yes it’s definitely ok to give them treats at this stage ❤️ Just make sure to break their treats down into very small pieces to give them, and also adjust their main meals accordingly to make sure they’re not overfed and you’ll be good 😄
Hi can u help me? My dog wont go to the toilet and i bring him ther every 1-2 hours and every time he naps done and after eat or drink he is a Pomeranian bear face he is playful and like to nibble. And when he pee i use the tissue to clean up it and remove the smell if there anything i did wrong please tell me
Hello my dear friend! You are really an inspiration and always trying to help others in different things!😍 You are so lovely! Great to share this dear friend!! Lovely puppy!!🌼🌼 Have a great day!!💗💗 Sending hugs to you 😍🤗
Thank you for the tips Jane!!! I’ve always had big dogs ( I currently have a Doberman) and I’m getting my first Pomeranian puppy in 2 weeks! I’m more nervous potty training a small dog
@@goatgal88 it’s not been going too bad! We’re using wood litter in a pan because that’s what my breeder used. Night times are going awesome but occasionally during the day she has an accident on the floor if we don’t catch her. I think it’s because she’s so focused on playing she forgets to go LOL. If I am on top of putting her in her litter every hour or so she’s out, and has access to it in her puppy play pen when she isn’t out she’s great!
@@mel999. she is going outside now! But also using the litter if we need her to ( our deck is too big for her to get down and we live in Canada so it’s not warm outside) she’s actually been great but I will say they are harder to potty train than big dogs. Our big dogs were almost instantly potty trained whereas she took a lot of repetitions
Oh noo :( They are probably in their teething period so they will chew on anything they can get a hold of lol 😂 I do have a few tips for you: 1. Set up a gated area (big enough for a potty pad, their bed, and probably some more space for them to play) so that you have full control of what they can put their mouth into 2. Give them something else to chew on, it could be a toy that they love, or a rawhide bone that takes time to chew 3. Exercise them more so they'll be tired by the time they get home and less likely to rip things. Don't worry, this period will eventually go away as they grow up though! I hope this helps! 💕
@@CeceFamily yeah we’re trying that out in for them, kind of like a dog house area lol 😂 hopefully one day we will be able to give them nice fluffy stuff haha! thank you!!
hi ! do i need to have specific hours of the day to give them water too? like feeding them consistently at specific time of the day to help monitor their potty hours.
Some people do that as well to speed up the potty training process but I generally don't recommend it as water is a necessity so they should be always be available so your pup can drink it whenever they need it to avoid risk of dehydration. So it's better to take them out more often in the beginning if you feel like they're not quite good and reliable at holding their pee yet ❤️
I am soooooo exited to get a Pom and your videos have been AMAZING ( also i accidentally pressed the dislike button but changed it immediately to the like sorry lol) Byeeeee
My Pom is 6 months and just got him a few days ago. He cries immediately if I put him in crate or leave him outside alone, or when it’s time to sleep, because I’m not there with him. He wants to be where I am. And then won’t stop crying for hours even if I ignore him - which is what I was told do when he barks excessively. He uses pads 50% of the time, and won’t go outside. I wanted to try crate training but looks like that won’t work because he just cries for hours and I live in an apartment so I can’t do that. Not sure what to do. Also my breeder said for poms to always make sure they have open food but I feel scheduled eating would be better because it would be more routine with times to take outside. Any suggestions?
In my case my pomeranian does his business on the pad 100% of the time, but there is a slight problem the pad is in the cage and whenever he goes outside of his cage he has no intention of entering back so most likely he does his business on the carpet or worse
I started taking my Pomeranian outside to potty first thing in morning, a little bit after meals, after play, and before bed. It became more natural for him. Dogs smell the other pee and poo from dogs and my puppy started going very quickly outside and he started to associate potty is for outside. He’s still been having a few accidents (he likes my bedroom carpet so I keep my bedroom door closed) but I would say he’s 80% potty trained. I suggest trying to take him outside as it’s much more natural for dogs and creates the associate of outside vs. inside for potty because it’s not easy for a dog to understand the difference of where is okay to go and not okay to go when only inside
