The final, long-awaited update to the game... thank you so much for your patience and support over the years. I'm so happy to call this game complete.
This game is made and will be made entirely free-to-play, with no intention of making a profit from, misusing, or demoralizing Toby Fox's content. This is made entirely out of fun and appreciation for Undertale and will keep that intention throughout its development. It's a combination of them reflecting on their previous poor decisions and actions and their aforementioned self-HATRED, which leads them to believe they cannot be good in any form.

@@TheGrammarNazi123 Well Chara was never intended to be the one who put the note in the box, but they did heavily encourage you to take it. It was intentional manipulation and then intentional gaslighting on their behalf to convince the player of what they had been forced to believe as true, which is that humanity is filled with nothing but pure hatred. Chara feels as though they can act on nothing else other than that pain and misery because that's all they've been led to believe is reality for all of humanity.

@@ut-acttoflirt With all due respect, the writing here is a little flawed. I think my last complaints are Chara complaining about being "trapped" in a Purgatory-like state despite having been able to just "leave this world" easily at the end of the video, that and Chara "being told" about how humanity is full of hatred. I mean, I guess I can't consider this second one as a complaint, because we're not sure what caused Chara to hate humanity. It could have either been parental abuse or Chara just having been told.
