I love seeing Monika in other games. I think she could if her coding got amazing. Having Monika and Flowey argue is so ironic. I knew Sans would catch on fast.

I was so into this animation. The way Monica helped the main character avoid dangers and traps, encounters with monsters. The way she broke the fourth wall, knowing everything about all the characters. The way Monica treated the characters like pieces of code, like inanimate beings. She just didn't understand them. But Sans did everything, he convinced her. And if it were a game, then no one would stop Monica. But since it's animation, here Monica feels living characters that are programmed as AI. So she starts to respect everyone and helps. And the fact that in the end the heroes heard a set of names (of Monica's friends) at the end, I think no one understood who they were except Alphys 😅 This is truly a legendary animation 🔥🔥
Honestly, considering Monica's backstory and how things went in DDLC, it did make me feel pretty bad for her, so she deserved some level of happiness after what she went through.
Monika has always known that there’s more to characters than just the code they consist of…back when she was the only one left and she realized all the harm she had caused, she reveals that she never had it in her to actually delete her friends, despite knowing they were “real”. In the end she only ended up deleting everything because she realized that even with her gone, the characters still become self aware. A hell she wouldn’t wish on anyone.
From a fan of DDLC as well as Undertale this is one of those perfect crossovers. Monika being influenced based on Frisk's run can absolutely be canon (among other things Frisk in her thoughts says something like "try to ruin my pacifist run") and thank goodness I'm happy that Monika did everything to not kill them, Monika has never been evil, her problem is possession due to unreceived love and for now, although strange, she has been the most dangerous character among these crossover series considering that we can define her as a "God" being able to do anything she wants. ..I would be curious to see a part 2 but with her going to interact with Chara, anything could happen considering how strong they both are...great video🙏🏻
She is not a god in Undertale. Her hax never was shown to work outside of ddlc that has weak cosmology. They would've need to nerf Chara hardly to make this interesting.
Wish the characters had accurate writing though. I'm not familiar with Monika but I am certain as hell that UNDERTALE's characters had inaccurate dialogue. For example, the first sans cutscene... "I like to see how things play out. You two seemed interesting so I thought I'd check it out"?? First off, no. It's implied a lot in the game that sans is a very kept character. I don't think he'd just come by and explain how he wanted to see what you were up to. As explained by Papyrus ingame, he rarely tells anyone anything about himself. Or the Toriel scene, the whole "Satisfy your need for control"? That's literally not Toriel's reason for protecting you. It's not "being alone". She literally lives alone (not counting the other monsters around) and chose to live alone (She left Asgore and the rest of the underground). The whole reason she doesn't want you to leave is because her son literally fucking died (and Chara, considered family as well), and the other humans who passed through her own door. They died because she allowed the humans to leave. She most likely blames herself for their death and the fact she couldn't protect her own son makes the blame bigger. My whole point is; really bad character writing. Legacy Under just straight up made up the characters. There's a really cool, really underrated UNDERTALE fan channel who recently started analyzing the characters. She does pay attention to the deep writing the characters have, and stuff. The channel name's Dorked. Check it out!

monika would easily be a secret deltarune boss because of her being self aware and it's one of the examples spamton and jevil did when they got to her place after realising there world is a game.(siriously she would easily talk with the roaring knight about her condition and he would informed her more about this meta kind of shit monika and the deltarune secret bosses + kris fill)
her self awareness goes farther from jevil and spamton does as she is aware of our world but yea she can actually fit in as a secret boss just nerf her self awareness
I'd argue Geno Chara is the perfect mirror, considering she forces the deletion of the save and attempts to delete the game (but doesn't because of a bug where it targets the save file directory instead of the game installation directory). But Flowey would've been a good 2nd choice.

This was actually pretty well done, the character personalities and aspects of the game/storyline. There really wouldnt be any fight between any of the characters. (Especially if this is post monika deleting everyone). Frisk and Monikas interaction, sans and the way he spoke. Alphys also being pulled out of hiding due to recognizing a VN character was pretty hilarious! It was a nice watch, the interactions and crossovers between these two games have a lot of potential. A little food for thought on both these things though. Undertale would still technically be code, considering the game itself also referring to the info/files in some way. So it being "real" is probably in perspective of the undertale characters, and sadly their world is just as well..."coded" as she imagined. As for Monika, well...I am pretty sure she would directly be talking to "us". And I dont mean the player inside of Frisk either. The awareness in ddlc gets trippy...but her interactions outside of that are pretty nice. I also liked the touch of not just controlling code, but also the aspects of the world itself. Since its way more than just "deleting stuff". Like that froggy at the beginning. It's gone yeah, but would also be unrecognizable/forgotten by the game and the characters unless she adds it back. Gaster’s effectively a Deltarune character that happened to be in Undertale as an Easter egg. Sure, he existed before Frisk even dropped in, but he has no bearing on Undertale’s overall story besides being cryptic.
I love how Monika stays with Frisks only because of the player and frisk and Chara genuinely don’t care about it as long as they have the ending they want
funny thing is this can fit in as canon easily. there's already a 'player', or the same player that monika reffered in ACT 3 in ddlc, which is you. because in undertale, you control chara and frisk, and in ddlc, you control the mc. chara and frisk are aware that you are controlling you, monika is aware ypu are controlling mc because of events in game, and instead of saying mc's name, monika ended up saying your username you put on the computer.
and there is a handful of characters already knowing they are in a game. sans (he does damage based on fps + aware you cheated in the game), the characters mentioned before in my comment (chara, frisk), possible that gaster can be aware, since he does weird teleporting game stuff, flowey too (obviously)

i love how in character monika and the others are in this, like how sans doesn't so much as fight monika as much as he does simply hold her in place to try and get her to talk, unlike undyne and i love the fact that even though monika IS an antagonist in this, she DOES have some of her previous character development from her game's ending, since she DOES try not to hurt anyone, at least physically, and she's able to pick up on toriel's own flaws and use it to persuade her to let them leave instead of just modifying her code to get her out of the way
I'm going to have multiple entities that can break the fourth wall in the same room at the same time la la la la la la la la la la la la la it will be so much fun in them

funny thing is this can fit in as canon easily. there's already a 'player', or the same player that monika reffered in ACT 3 in ddlc, which is you. because in undertale, you control chara and frisk, and in ddlc, you control the mc. chara and frisk are aware that you are controlling you, monika is aware ypu are controlling mc because of events in game, and instead of saying mc's name, monika ended up saying your username you put on the computer.
and there is a handful of characters already knowing they are in a game. sans (he does damage based on fps + aware you cheated in the game), the characters mentioned before in my comment (chara, frisk), possible that gaster can be aware, since he does weird teleporting game stuff, flowey too (obviously)
I like how she at least takes promise not to hurt the monsters as Frisk asks, but she is still manipulating and corrupted being...

i love how in character monika and the others are in this, like how sans doesn't so much as fight monika as much as he does simply hold her in place to try and get her to talk, unlike undyne
and i love the fact that even though monika IS an antagonist in this, she DOES have some of her previous character development from her game's ending, since she DOES try not to hurt anyone, at least physically, and she's able to pick up on toriel's own flaws and use it to persuade her to let them leave instead of just modifying her code to get her out of the way
