"The smartest and most satisfying horror thriller to come out in a while ... a kind of supernatural Heathers." - San Francisco Gate
Sarah has always been different. So as the newcomer at St. Benedict's Academy, she immediately falls in with high school outsiders. But there's something different about her new friends, and it's not just that they won't settle for being a group of powerless misfits. They have discovered The Craft ... and they are going to use it.
This spectacular horror thriller has an all-star cast including Neve Campbell (the Scream franchise, Wild Things), Robin Tunney (Supernova, The Zodiac), Fairuza Balk (The Island Of Dr. Moreau, American History X), Rachel True (Half Baked, Embrace Of The Vampire) and Skeet Ulrich (Scream, Riverdale).

I love how Sarah sounds like she just doesn't want to be here, she's such a mood. Lol
She is a natural witch. She didn’t need them/coven to do magic. She allowed herself to be there
She was just there to do something lmao 🤣
She said I don't need this I'm just here cuz yall raggedy heffas need me😂😂😂😂
The sequel will never have this feeling, it has too much of a magical girl anime vibe.
And an obvious political agenda that doesn't feel organic at all.
the sequel was more like a tiktok girl version
@@bonniehowell4259 The 80s and 90s had better female characters because they weren't quite as woke. They allowed women to be imperfect, and like in this movie, mess up and go insane. The remake and most other movies now require perfect Mary Sues who never get anything wrong. So they don't feel as real.
@@bonniehowell4259 reminds me of some Disney script
A movie is always terrible when there's a political agenda involved...
I love this scene, it shows Nancy's greed and selfishness from the beginning to the end. Not only does she begin the invocation stating "hear me!", to which Bonnie corrects her saying "us! Hear us!" showing that she and the rest of coven actually do care about eachother as a group, but Nancy thinks and cares only about herself. She thinks herself to be superior to her "sisters in craft", calling Manon out to possess her which the Entity in fact does. Because of it she thinks she's unstoppable and invulnerable and that ultimatelly brings her to her end in the movie XD And it all foreshadowed in just one scene. Brilliant.
i fucking despise her and want to fucking mur
@@rhiannonwaldorf5641 same XD
She was the weakest of the four because she was about herself, not about serving the power coming through her.
@@DeepScreenAnalysis Yup. Pretty much true
Very true, but I think it was also foreshadowed in the earlier circle scene, too. All the other girls asked for things like love, inner strength, and inner beauty. Nancy, meanwhile, asked for "All the power of Manon". That should've been a huge red flag to the others. They should have seen Nancy's greed for power and stopped associating with her right then. People who come to witchcraft thinking it will give them power over people and things or who use it to satisfy already-existing god complexes will either quickly get disappointed and move on to something else or will get their comeuppance from the deities/elements they were treating like toys. Any witch worth their salt knows that magic and the craft are no more quick fixes for life than any other religion or spiritual tradition; it's how you use those things in life that will determine what their effects will be. Blessed be!
I get goosebumps during this scene so powerful damn
I love this movie. Gotta break it out of my DVD collection
This version is much better than the one on The Craft Legacy
By far,and the whole movie itself.
Sarah says it with a lot less energy than the others. Perhaps it was meant to show that she was more grounded, and wasn't on a power trip like the others?
It's more that she thought the whole thing was dumb and was apathetic about it.
@@ShadowSonic2 The actress was otherwise good I thought. Maybe she was trying to portray calm?
I thought it was just because she didn't want to be here otherwise it made it pretty funny.
Her natural magic was always stronger. That’s why when they became a coven, her power made all of them stronger. She went along with this because she was finally apart of a group, even though she didn’t want to do it
This scene is so epic
How about a new 4k scan of this really excellent movie?
Is nobody ever going to talk about Nancy's deadpan "ehuuurth"
Motherrrr and ehuuurh had me wince all the time 😆
Love that part
I think you mean Sarah 😂 but I’m glad it’s not just me, always ruins it for me when she says her part of the spell!
@@aidantrojan3710 She definitely says it with less energy than the others. But maybe that was deliberate, to show she was more grounded and able to resist temptation?
Finally someone else does!
This is NOT a seance. They are calling the quarters.
Or "corners" as they say in the film.
Remember: Manaan knew what kind of person Nancy was and still blessed her. And when Nancy went full evil, Manaan did not withdraw his power but rather put Sarah back on Nancy's level. Manaan wanted the most powerful witch, not the moral witch.
I love this scene. It shows their zodiac signs
Explain please
@@edwardwheeler197 it reveals them showing their element which relates to zodiacs.
East/Air = Gemini, Libra, Aquarius
South/Fire = Aries, Sagittarius, Leo
North/Earth = Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn
West/Water = Cancer, Pisces, Scorpio
idk if it necessarily shows their zodiac but there are witches (such as myself) who choose a specific element to be most attached to and best at, specifically because of their sign. but i do like to think that this scene actually does reveal it
"Mother and earrrrrrth"
😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
The music in this scene was fitting.
The music is perfect throughout the movie.
Nancy IS this movie!. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
It wouldn't be the same without her manic energy. She's like the Joker
So true!!!.
I wish they had a pet black cat
Not as a pet. Witches keep “familiars” ;-)
@@kittyspins3085 whats that?

GREAT THE CRAFT - (1996 ) - FILM - CLIP : BEACHFRONT SCENE !!!!
This isn't a seance. It's an invocation working adapted for the movie from an older occult book, "Mastering Witchcraft" by Paul Huson. An amazing scene and turning point in the movie.
going as Bonnie for Halloween is harder then I thought bro I thought she wore jeans in this scene 😭
Going as Bonnie for Halloween is a mistake because for one, she doesn't have a recognizable or distinctive look, so folks won't recognize who you're supposed to be. They'll be asking you who you are all night. Second, not everyone saw the movie so again, people will be asking you who you're going as. SMH.
@@Witchy1976 why are you acting like that..??? barley anyone asked who I was they just wanted to give out candy and I looked good
@@jjprentiss9192 Seriously, that is such a dumb take!! Dressing up for Halloween is something you do for yourself. I bet you looked great!! ⛧♡
@@Becausing thank you!!
Gen Z will ever know the real chills of this scene when it first came out.
Bold of you to assume and generalize. Most of us Gen Z especially those who grew up in the early 2000s know the "real chills" of this scene. Most Gen Z who practice real witchcraft knows the "real chills" of this scene and of the whole movie.
I love this movie because a lot of the stuff in it is actually accurate. Hollywood tends to do whatever they want with movies like this but they actually got a high priestess to work with them for like a month or so while they were making this movie to make sure it was accurate. The character of Sarah reminded me a lot of myself. I do practice Wicca and I do believe in this stuff, trust me, it is very real. You have to be very careful in what you're doing. This is why I don't really believe in Black magick but then again we don't in Wicca. We don't believe in love spells either because it takes away the target's free will. However, you have to be very careful of witches like Nancy. She was truly evil. Truly a very bad witch you don't want to be associated with. I thought about dabbling and some black magick but really mild stuff. Nothing that would be intended to hurt anybody, just something to kind of speed up karma a little bit if you will. Just people who deserve it. Anyway, I love the way this scene was done. It was so accurate and yes, I agree. Nancy was incredibly selfish and greedy and while they will bless you with what you ask for, it can have really dire consequences. This is why a lot of us believe in separating white magick from black. As I've been saying, you also have to be very careful. Don't be greedy. In reality, most people select the members of their coven very carefully. You want somebody that you know is serious about being there, not somebody who either just wants to act like they're cool because they're in a coven or greedy like Nancy was.
This is where the moments go to deep waters. ....using metaphors is a way of giving description.
The power of all corners
Nobody could play Nancy better than fairuza balk. The movie wouldn’tve been the same without her.
Rochelle’s like Gabriel
From out of nowhere.in tribute of Shock G;Digital Underground "please allow me to bump thee!" there was probably seance in hip hop too!🤣🗣🎤

Sarah's hands/fingers were different from others. IYKYK
i would go with the witch of the south for having a script... ... ... just saying
Nancy’s like Raphael
So who are the other ones?
Bonnie’s like Michael
Nah Bonnie is like Bonnie.
TwilightLink77 Michael is invoked in the South. God name YHVH
Nancy is an Air sign ? Bonnie is a fire sign ? Rochelle is a water ? And Sarah is an earth sign ?
Where are my witch sisters?
Why do i actually want to try this now?
Same

They use magical powers it's a whales.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
you should see nancy in real life. Not only in this movie lost her mental health, but also the little-to-nothing beauty she had
They all lost their beauty except Rachel True who looks like she only aged a bit.
It's called aging. Happens to us all
Why do they all look stoned?
kind of something as witches they could of been less south like in letting her do it
Yup we witches just can't help bringing on the lightning when we raise power! LOL! So stupid! There are cringe scenes in this film...Nancy on the beach..."you're my gifts!" Nancy strapped down making googly eyes for the camera....and Manon? Beats me! It's really a love-hate thing for me and this movie.
The gifts scene was grosteque
Hail to the grardians of the watch towers of east powers of air investion hear us hail to the grardians of the watch tower of south powers of fire and feeling hear us hail to the grardians of the watch towers of west powers of water intuition hear us and hail to the gradians of the watch towers of the north by the powers of mother and earth they use their powers of earth 🌎 air fire 🔥 and water 🌊🌊.
They involved thee❤❤❤❤❤❤
They should have invoked a better cast 😂 sorry
They are calling upon the devil/satan
Actually their calling on the fictional pagan God Manon. Im a pagan and a witch irl. They did NOT call on the Christian entity "Satan". Tho the ritual they did is in fact a real ritual. It's called casting a circle. It's where you call on the guardians of the cardinal directions and their associated elements to aid and protect you during magical workings. And while many do call on their gods/goddesses durring the ritual... I've yet to see anyone personally get "possesed" it's more of like a prayer than anything asking for your gods/goddesses blessings, aid, and protection.
