I've been doing vocal Physical therapy to try and get it back and have been really discouraged until I found out the same exact thing happened to Jon and I mean good god listen to his voice. It gives me hope I'll be healthy again some day

Definitely different vocals than the album version but it's certainly not live performance from the exact takes they used for making this video. Great work nonetheless I guess.

Also I commented my previous comment way before I read that the audio itself was recorded in their live session in Pus Cavern Recording Studios. However without that information it could have been entirely plausible that they played like 5-10 live takes on the bridge and used the best audio takes for the mix and the visually best ones for the video which could end up having some of the video takes "look wrong" as is evident in Jon's screams. But yeah, my bad, the whole thing was recorded in Pus Cavern Recording Studios and this was just a video to promo that so nevermind. :)
Nah. Don't know where Gordon is getting that from but it's deffs live. He just has really good control of his lungs and vocal chords. You can watch some other live stuff by them and you'll see the same thing. And if you're really interesting, there's a vocal coach who reacts to their live performance of "We Own the Night." She mentions there that Mess must have really good control. So if you don't believe me.

I know this song is in reference to a past relationship (references to cheating, ect.), but Tilian's breakdown is more than just that, I believe it reaches out to one's own life choices. I imagine the regret he refers to is more of a call to not pass up on opportunities someone may have. If we all have an opportunity to do something great, do we take it or do we let it fade? Truly a masterpiece of a song.

I wasn’t even paying attention to the video while listening so I didn’t realize it was a live performance til like the second play through…but when I did, OMG. WHAT AN INCREDIBLE PERFORMANCE. I love good music from a wide variety genre’s (though this particular one has remained a favorite even into my 30s ❤), but I’m rarely just rendered speechless by a live performance. This song is a complete banger on its own, but when you see their incredible control, talent, and charisma on display like this…well, that’s a whole nother level of beauty. ❤
