It was originally a LM 321 until they dismissed them and gave some to scotrail whilst it was in the livery

Great video as always. What I can't get in my head is the compatibility of the various classes, so linking a 156 with a 170, are there not power differentials. So on the 170 the max speed is 100mph and the engines will provide power to get it there depending on the throttle setting whereas on the 156, the top speed isn't set as fast on full throttle. So, what I'm trying to fathom out is when full power is selected on the 156 and it has a 170 tied to the back of it, doesn't the 170 want to push harder than the 156. Pfft - way above my engineering prowess, maybe someone can enlighten me.
