If they continue like that, poe 2 will be in 8 leagues (2 years and 3 months) we have act 2 rebalance, by the time they get to act 10, we'll be q2 2024 and that'd check out with late 2023/early 2024.
I think the problem right now is that poe2 was announced in November 2019. We are so used to games being.released.within a 2 year window of a first announcement, whether that be at e3 or gamescom etc so to actually hear that it's tentatively at the end of 2023 which is 4 years after the announcement is a bit disappointing. But hey, cant do anything about it sooooo...
Games have a long development time, some of them taking as many as half a decade to finish. (or more) Modern games like Battlefield 2042 have a development cycle of about a year, from what I understand and we all saw what happened there. Notice the difference here between: development time and (development) cycle. In other words: You can't rush meticulousness, just mediocrity. Reference is how many and how much or often people complain about the shooters that have a year development cycle with emphasis on stating: it's boring, and it's the same. (or like in some cases downright broken). Sorry to nag on this, but also. Consider how long PoE 1 had been in development. Since 2013. Some players weren't even born then I reckon, at least. So to speak.
I haven't seen a high-spec game that took 2 years to fully develop and release in a perfect state. If you look at all the unfinished garbage that all the big studios have been putting out that they rammed out in 2-3 years, I'd rather a studio take the 5 years they need to make sure the game releases in a finished and polished state. Of course, 5+ year dev time doesn't guarantee a good game (Cyberpunk, Anthem) but a rushed development is generally disastrous (New World, Battlefield 2042). I'm infinitely more disappointed about a game that is released in an alpha state than a game than a game that doesn't release on the timeline that I want. Because what the hell do I know about how long it takes to make a good game and why should anyone care?
@@WhispersOfWind bf games dosn`t take a 1 ear to produce. They have 3-4 different studios that are making BF games in the same time, so it more like 3-4 ears to make 1 bf game.
Not bad since, that kind of does make sense. Some games simply take a long time to develop and are often the best games that over time become or turn into unforgettable classics I think.
Not a big deal. It's looking like with each expansion POE is getting closer to POE 2 in every aspect. I suspect by the time POE 2 launches players won't be able to tell the difference.
yep thats exact, i noticed how the endgame now makes me think way more of how poe2 is. like the searing exarch fight gave me this feeling, its way more clean or something. still missing giant health bars of bosses at the top of the screen though
Yeah I think poe2 will come down to probably new bases, links moving to gems, and the new acts and ascendencies. Maybe the morphing (i.e. werewolf) will be a poe2 thing too. But I think we'll get most of the stuff before the release.
That is what I made out from the words spoken. Do I mind? No. Path of Exile 1 is already very good as it is, also considering constant leagues. It's basically unheard of, in a way. For something like that (Path of Exile) to exist in such a way and to equally be as good as it is, but then again. I guess that is its main driver. Quality over quantity.
PoE 2 will be patch 4.0 but the last patch leading up to it will most likely be closer to 3.25. 4 leagues per year, poe 2 won't be out til end of NEXT year and most likely will be pushed back to start of 2024 because things always get delayed.
@@GobbiLuiz so u dont get 60 fps 100% of the time ? lets be real here the game is awesome and i love it but it has performance issues its from 2013 for christ sake it shouldnt even drop below 60 fps with a middle priced pc nowdays.
poe 2 is the end of path of exile as we know it. i am NOT excited or waiting for it to come out and i really hope it comes really really late or even never.

"Don't expect PoE 2 until next life" Sadge
big oof moment
well good thing I play my life on HC mode
And it would still release sooner than Star Citizen
They showed it off a little too early imo if it's still 2 years or more away.

completely agree. getting ppl hyped is great, but taking too long to release just eventually kills the hype

Thanks for the comment.
kinda obvious it will come out 2023, it's 10yr anniversary to POE's release

It's funny how Ziggy is sitting on a Fallout 76 chair during a PoE stream.

I feel like 3.17 is POE2, I can easily play all this new content, and the last year's content, for 1.5 more years and have a blast doing it.
3 months and youre done.

Sounds like some politician talk
I've seen an asian post in one of the trackers on poedb saying something poe2 something 2024 something but I can't find it.
poe 2 SOON!!!!!! 2025 summer
I swear at one stage they were saying early 2022?
Yup, then end of 2022. Now end of 2023 - "probably".
**grumble grumble**
to me a game shouldn't be announced until it ready to launch in the next year.
The end of NEXT YEAR!!! so 2024 :(
this is so far away
If you mean early 2024 then yeah, that's quite a ways away.
so either poe 2.0 will be update 3.20 or update 3.21

maybe 3.26 final league 🤔
can they fix issues with frist game frist? maybe idk so we cna play with more then 20fps thanks
I play it with 60 fps 99% of the time.
Maybe the game is not the problem.
20 fps? do u play on a 20 year old laptop?

The age of the game does not improve performance, if anything older games are less compatible with newer software and drivers.
Probably by the time poe 2 out...no more time to play🌝
Probably end of 2023
