This is an unbelievably common issue on the 2-l HDI from Peugeot the issue is a complete lack of Regular maintenance you need to change your fuel filter more often and then the engine wouldn't hunt for fuel it's really easy, if like everybody seems to think it was a vacuum leak it would be constantly doing it not intermittently doing it.
usually this sort of problem has to do with the vacuum hose system or the electrovalves that control the vacuum to the different elements that are operated by it. Try to look for broken or cracked hoses or rubber boots that are at the end of the hard plastic hose. There is a vacuum reservoir behind the doser/throttle body that can be disconnected by a leaking or lose hose. Also sometimes the pierburg solenoids develop tears on their rubber membranes. There are three I believe two for the doser down by the ac compressor, and the one up behind the head on the left side for the turbo. I had these problems all. Good luck!
I blanked my EGR and the problem was solved. The EGR get stuck open or closed due to carbon build up and is located at the rear of the engine and is difficult to access for removal. Blanking the egr also made better throttle response and MPG. No fault codes either.
Problem is with the fuel pumps pressure regulator. This problem can be see in a diagnostics tester where the High pressure of fuel is not stable. For me this was the problem.
That's the procedure to eliminate the DPF. But it won't resolve the real problem. My car did make those problems with about 50% degree of charging of DPF. I strongly recommend you to check that degre of charging to another service before you go to the service you mentioned. Almost every service try to make you eliminate the DPF instead of looking for the problem. They make a lot of easy money with this procedure and if they are not making a real good job with that, your car can became your worst nightmare.
Pour ceux a qui sa arrive vérifiez les petites durites de dépression allant au doseur d'air (boîtier ou sont fixé les deux gros tuyau d'air) notamment le doseur chaud (celui du bas). Le problème est connu c'est les petites durites en caoutchouc (souvent coude et Y) qui sont fendue la réparation ne vous coûtera que quelques centimes.

Bonjour, le problème est récent ou cela le fait depuis plusieurs centaines de km ? car il ce pourrait que cela est du à une régénération forcée du FAP. La légère fumée à l’arrière du moteur dans le cas présent est normal car la régé augmente la chaleur du catalyseur à l’arrière du moteur et par conséquent de la fumée peut ce produire et une forte odeur de métal chaud ou de brûlé peut l'accompagner. Si le "soucis" viens de la il devrais disparaître d'ici quelques kilomètres quand la régénération sera terminée. Pour vérifier q'une régénération est en cours c'est très simple il faut toucher la glace d'un rétroviseur extérieur une fois le moteur chaud, si elle est chaude il y a de grande chances que ce sois une régénération FAP on peut également vérifier cela en regardant si le ventilateur de refroidissement du moteur tourne constamment même si le moteur n'est pas totalement chaud (à partir des 70 degrés du liquide de refroidissement) bien entendu après avoir désactivé la climatisation.
En fait c'est arriver il y a moins d'un an mais depuis je n'ai pas rouler avec depuis, elle dort sur le parking je ne savais pas qu'il exister un réservoir de liquide fap donc je les rempli avec le kit j'ai rouler peut être 100km mais toujours le même problème, combien de temps dure une regeneration de fap?
Je dirais dans une condition optimale une bonne dizaine de kilomètre grand max. Pour votre diagnostique je vous conseille de tester la méthode que je vous ai donné pour être sur que le problème vienne bien de là. Si c'est bien cela l’idéal serais d'emmener le véhicule faire un diagnostique électronique et pense très fortement que cela provienne du capteur de pression différentiel du filtre à particules qui donne une info erronée au calculateur en l'informant qu'il y a une pression élevée dans le filtre à particules et donc lance sans arrêt une régénération forcée. Si il s'avère que c'est bien cela le capteur est très simple à changer et coûte environ 40 euros.
Hey ppl greeting. Citroen C5 2.0 hdi 140 2009. My rpm are ok,no fault. But while driving in 3rd-4th gear,around 60-80km/h its jerking,or small cutting out,runs well when step on gas. Or when slowing down with engine braking,its jerking also. Maybe Egr,or something else? Cheers!
Salut. In cazul meu a fost problema la electrovalva care face vacum pt deschiderea clapetei de jos a dozorului de aer. Functiona electromagnetul, insa la interior era murdara si miezul nu mai avea cursa, drept rezultat vacum zero.
S-ar putea sa fie o problema de soft. Asa facea si a mea si de fapt nu forma vacum la clapeta de jos a dozorului ca sa o deschida. I-am facut update de soft si acum astept urmatoarea regenerare. Prima data trebuie verificat dozorul daca nu cumva sunt rupte angrenajele clapetelor, si abia apoi se merge cu cercetarea mai departe.
I talk to one mechanic, and he said to me, that it can be dirty DPF filter, he is almost 100% sure that is that the problem, because i drive the car on short distances. Next month i drive my car to them, they have some solution to solve this problem, that in DPF can drill some holes specified sizes, and some changes in ECU programm, so the engine won't change emissions specification for this engine. He said that gonna cost my aprox 200€ to 300€. If that's gonna solve my problem, than this gonna be money well spend. Hope i post some positive news next time.
Vacuum circuit leaks... Check under the Big admission hose , you have a vacuum store with small hoses going to turbo sensors etc... I fixed mine this way.. few euros fix....
Chek the hoose on tle left side its orange or brown box for air intake. I had problem too and i fix it when i found cracked hose. Now i dont even dont know when it start renegationn proces. Sorry for my bad english. Uglavnem na levi strani ob jermenu je oranzna skatlica al je rjava. Na njej so 4 cevi 2 dolge na desni in 2 kratke na levi. Preglej cevi ce je kaksna pocena preparela. Ko zamenjas nimas vec teh tezav in regeneracije sploh ne cutis
Zdravo, kot sem že omenil, sem ugotovil, da sem imel počeno membrano na ventilu ki odpira sesalno loputo, membrano sem zamenjal, in zdaj ko se regenerira se mi več ne zaganja tako močno, kot je na tem posnetku ko avto pustim stati pod štangasom. Ko pa se peljem, tam nekje nad 2000 obrati, pa avto strokira na vsake tolko časa ko malo spustim gas in ga spet dodam, nevem če je to normalno med regeneracijo. Bi pa bil hvaležen še kakršnekoli pomoči, mogoče če mi sporočiš kontakt, da vas pokličem da mi bolj podrobno opišete kje se nahajajo te cevi, da preverim. (Sem pravtako iz slovenije tako da se ne trudite z angleščino :) ). LP!

mine has dw10bted4 engine just like this car. I had an extensive list to go through. At the end I found quite a few problems out of this: air doser (the default is that the butterfly valves are asymmetric!) one of the valves was stuck open, the vacuum reservoir under/behind the doser has two hoses connected by rubber which were perished, the vacuum solenoid valves near the a/c compressor had one rubber hose connector that was broken and one of the solenoids was too weak to efficiently control the vacuum, I changed the differential pressure sensor for the dpf(can get shorted by water after cleaning!), rebuilt the turbo(cheap aliexpress rebuilt kits work miracles), one vane was stuck and it blocked the entire crown from working, its a big job to strip the engine to get to the turbo so I also changed the glowplugs since I learned that they are part of the regeneration system and they have almost the same access that the turbo has.The EGR on this engine is not prone to failure. All and all I think the Achilles heel of this engine is the vacuum control for the turbo, that should be concentrated on especially the pipe connecting rubber hoses. Good luck to all
I don't hawe problems with rpm's anymore, when i'm on idle, but when i ride abowe cca 2000 rpm, it start to rip off power, i assume that tha't the DPF reg cycle, it does that every 500km or so. I think it must be cloged DPF filter.

te refieres a la valvula EGR, yo limpie una hoy, pero es una o 2 ?, el mio es un 206 1.4 hdi y de 2.000 rpm no sube, cambie filtro de petroleo, filtro aire cambiado, MAF limpiado, EGR limpiada, no se que hacer, tengo otros 3 autos, pero de los mismo, y ya no se que mas piezas cambiarles, pero claro es un problema electrico.

Check vacuum system...from pump,hoses,vents and at the end air flaps on throttle body. In my case was membrane cracked on lower flap on throttle bodi,and vacuum had no power to open it propertly,so the rpm jump so up and down. In other cases can also be cracked hoses or something else,but definitly something arroud vacuum system,somewhere you hawe a leak.
Today i check the vacum hoses, and look what i founs, on the bottom vacum valve is one hose connector cracked, i put new connector on, now i must just wait if the problem is still there. Thanks for help!
I sold that fu**ing hdi, i blank my egr, than the engine run fine, untill dpf regen turn on, and than when the regen turn off, the car get to limp mode, and u hawe to turn the car off and on to go on, but than ewery 10 km do that shit. Than i buy new egr and replace it, but the problem was the same as it was with old egr valve. So i don't want to spend any more money to that car so i sold it - problem solved. But otherwise, the car was comfort and the driving was werry nice, but this disel engines just isn't made for short driving distance, so yeah, petrol is it.

No, i try to replace it with other one, there are three identical valves in that car, and it did not make any change :/ i inspect and test also all vacuum hoses, and all hoses are in good condition, try them with preassure and vacum, no leak.

J'ai une valise diagnostic delphi ds150 il me sort un code défaut 1598 code inconnu et un défaut bougie de préchauffage tout défaut permanent

Danilo Peterka yes....every 500 km starts reg cycle...u just have to leave it for 20 min to work....its hard to drive when reg 😑

DPF needs regen and hook up Peugeot Planet and look for faults.

Hello! Yes, it was throttle body lower hatch, the membrane was damaged and the vacuum had no power to open the air flap. This problem that the engine did not have constant turns when the car was stationary is now fixed. Now I have only the problem that every 500km starts to rip off gas during the ride. Is that normal? Is this the cleaning cycle of the DPF filter? Do I have such a clogged DPF filter and need to replace it? Is it possible to change anything in the ECU only?

Hola son la electro válvulas son 2 y cambia también la electro válvula del turbo para mejor
te refieres a la valvula EGR, yo limpie una hoy, pero es una o 2 ?, el mio es un 206 1.4 hdi y de 2.000 rpm no sube, cambie filtro de petroleo, filtro aire cambiado, MAF limpiado, EGR limpiada, no se que hacer, tengo otros 3 autos, pero de los mismo, y ya no se que mas piezas cambiarles, pero claro es un problema electrico.

I have same problem with my peugeot and I just clean the EGR and still have the problem.

Bonsoir j'ai une 407 c'est le même problème j'ai changé la vanne EGR de fois des injecteurs refaire elle catalyseur elle était déjà nettoyé et le même problème

Check vacuum system...from pump,hoses,vents and at the end air flaps on throttle body. In my case was membrane cracked on lower flap on throttle bodi,and vacuum had no power to open it propertly,so the rpm jump so up and down. In other cases can also be cracked hoses or something else,but definitly something arroud vacuum system,somewhere you hawe a leak.

Today i check the vacum hoses, and look what i founs, on the bottom vacum valve is one hose connector cracked, i put new connector on, now i must just wait if the problem is still there. Thanks for help!

I sold that fu**ing hdi, i blank my egr, than the engine run fine, untill dpf regen turn on, and than when the regen turn off, the car get to limp mode, and u hawe to turn the car off and on to go on, but than ewery 10 km do that shit. Than i buy new egr and replace it, but the problem was the same as it was with old egr valve. So i don't want to spend any more money to that car so i sold it - problem solved. But otherwise, the car was comfort and the driving was werry nice, but this disel engines just isn't made for short driving distance, so yeah, petrol is it.

No, i try to replace it with other one, there are three identical valves in that car, and it did not make any change :/
i inspect and test also all vacuum hoses, and all hoses are in good condition, try them with preassure and vacum, no leak.
