- How to save game with activated cheats in Red Dead Redemption 2. This glitch can only be done before the mission "Angelo Bronte, A Man of Honor" in Chapter 4.

Nevertheless, if you buy the game and are not playing online with other users, you may do whatever you want with the game to have fun.
This includes:
1- Playing the game as intended
2- Not playing the game as intended and using your imagination or doing experiments, which might include using cheats to obtain otherwise unobtainable items.
3- Exploring the world
To add onto 2, now listen closely, if someone might have to leave and go somewhere else in the real world, they should be able to save the game and hop back on whenever they have time.
And these people actually have a respectable personality, unlike you.
Nevertheless, I suggest that you leave your attacking, napoleonic tendencies inside your head, or we might have to send you to Saint Helena as well.

thank you Rockstar... you have ruined gta online AND red dead redemption 2 now for me and now I have to use methods to try and get around shit that the developers put in there to annoy us players or they were too lazy to fix or change... lol why cant they just like reach out to the guy who made the rage mod menu? that was the perfect mod menu on both gta 5 and rdr2 with all the best options which is way better than cheats and if they had something you could use like that it would be nice (obviously achievements would still be turned off but you could still save your game)

Glad to say this still works! I was crossing my fingers that it would. I even got a Piebald Tobiano Hungarian Halfbred out of it. ❤
For those who are playing in the 1.00 version, this glitch does work, but there is a chance that you can not do the New Austin glitch because the mission won't be replayed due to it not appearing in the story progress menu.
Edit: It definitely removes the mission from the menu since you used cheats and you cannot disable the cheats since it is permanently stuck by doing this glitch

In the next mission it stopped working after some auto saves. Most likely will continue auto saving though. PERFECT WEEK! JESUS!!!

just got into chapter three and have been working alot to get stuff for Arthur like money and horses, and in my examination of the UA-cam video comment sections and replies, this community seems to be full of very... very... nice fellows who just love to help out their fellow western traveler. thank you comment section repliers for giving me a demonstration on not to rely on anyone but youtubers for help in this convoluted, buggy and annoying but still addicting game. Also yes I am just now getting into red dead redemption because I have been living under a rock and when I came out of the rock I was living In per say I realized my computer is complete trash and I had to get it on xbox.

I like to max out my stats. If you didn’t know you can turn on infinite ammo and at the end of the mission you get max ammo of every type
the outfit the game gives you after completing all challenges is awesome. it suitable in any weather and is very stylish. if we can bring our honor at the lowest level the game give you the dark horse which is a badass horse. I'm going to get it now
That horse only appears in RDR1. It belongs to Micah in RDR2.
@@Petkoholic if you add random horse by cheat code it may appear. I got it yesterday after 8 horses.

If I'm not mistaken, this will disable the Achievements/Trophies, or at least affect them in some way. I think I've seen this one before, and that's what the guy on the channel was telling. This was supposed to be mainly a money glitch, but for people who were worried about the Trophies, he would rather recommend the Ridgewood Farm lock box trick done during the Angelo Bronte glitch. I don't know if this is true, so I thought it was better to mention it to get your opinion on the subject.
Correct! That’s why it’s best to do it on a different playthrough.
@@Brass_Bass I don't care about achievements/trophies either, but someone surely does, so much so there are entire videos on how to get some of them (just search UA-cam).
By the way, regarding "do you get something in real life for it", do you get something in real life for playing video games (unless you're a professional gamer or streamer)? I mean money or something material you can sell? You do you.

I mean if you eat a mint seasoned big game meat and use a health tonic you're effectively invincible lol
I wishe we could do this in the very beginning of the game.. I'm playing rdr2 now on pc. With cheat engine I could get a lot of money. It helped with buying Ammo, supplies, clothes and so on. Now I wanna play this on ps5, chilling on the sofa. Some money cheats would actually help a lot!

You have to choose what cheats to use before finishing up the Bronte mission and those are the ones that will be active for the rest of the game? Or you can from then on use them as you please? When I try to use them after the mission I get the prompt about loosing save capability
You have to choose what cheats you want to use before starting the Bronte mission. However, the infinite ammo cheat and the other ones that have the option to be turned "on / off" cannot be saved therefore they will automatically be turned off no matter what you choose.
You cannot use any additional cheats after the mission. This is the only point in the game when you can use cheats and you can only use the ones that are available at this point in the story.

Only the ones that have the “on / off” option will not transfer.
I played this game on PS3 then PS4 & now playing it again on PS5.
Hit like if you need a RDR3 5 DISK VERSION.

What's strange is you max out at $10,000,000 but you can sell stuff to the fence after and exceed 10 million
That because there no need to have more then that the actual max is like 21 million with some change you will hit cap before 22 and you won’t gain anything after that
Yeah. You can still rob, loot, sell. It’s just the maximum amount the cheat can give you.
@@Petkoholic Wait, so there isn't actually a maximum value for the money you can have, only for specific glitches (99 gold bars, 99 gold ingots, 99 gold nuggets and so on)?
@@Herandro_just_Herandro yeah as long as it’s not in the satchel you can have more than 99 of it. But the comment above says that the max amount of money you can get is 22 million.
Fr spent like a 1hr or more clicking x for more money then I did sum thing wrong so it was for nothing
Question: How exactly does your autosave stay or can be turned on if autosave automatically turns off after activating the cheat? Is this something that happens when you're close to the mission or something?
Autosave is turned on once all the cheats have been activated and that happens before the mission.
@@Petkoholic Oh okay, I was asking because autosave would usually turn off for me whenever I'm activating the cheats.

No. It won’t let you save afterwards.
So I just this by following the instructions on the video but all the cheats that have the on/off feature are disabled when i reload the autosave. Am i doing something wrong. I have all the outfits and money, but the infinite ammo, infinite dead eye and the guns are disabled.
The ones that have the on / off feature will not save therefore I didn’t include them in the video.
I recently did this glitch and now am in chapter 6 and 1 mission away from starting the epilogue. Now as everyone should know in then epilogue you can unlock all the cheats, I was wondering if it’s possible to add more cheats but still be able to save the game as John.
No one has found a way to save with cheats in the Epilogue yet.

I haven't done this money cheat method but when it comes to the normal money I had with Arthur before the epilogue, I went to the Pig Farm as John and got the money behind that wall picture.
something like €10k.
I did this glitch. I got the attires, money, guns and, high stats. But I still wonder if this will also apply to john if he's the playable character after chapter 6 or is it until arthur's death only?
You lose the money by the time you get to the Epilogue anyways (unless you do the Aberdeen Pig Farm exploit) but the outfits will stay.

What happens if you turn on infinite ammo after you do this glitch will I still be able to save game even after I reload the save or will I not be able to save forever
It probably won’t let you save. But even if you do it before the glitch it will still reset the cheat once you load the game again.

The cheat still works in June of 2024! 🥳 I didn’t have the patience to spam the X button for unlimited money, so I just settled for 2 million 😅

No. Best to save in a separate slot when using this.

Hey petko I’m trying to get explosive ammunition I forgot I had chapter 2 newspaper with the cheat code and want to know can put in the cheat on the save that has all outfit cheat on it and I’m in chapter 5

Does all of your money still be there later when you play as John
To keep Arthur’s money as John you will have to do the Aberdeen Pig Farm glitch.

Yes. But you can’t use any more cheats from that point onwards.

Yeah, you can get any horse you want, but will die at the end of chapter 6 and then no more horse. I wish we could do this cheat a John.

@@istan_ you can only save with cheats by activating them before the start of this mission, turning autosave “on” and save once the mission is done by reloading the autosave.

What do you mean by "activate"? They are already activated. The ones I have shown will remain active for the rest of the playthrough. The ones that have the "on / off" option will not save therefore I haven't included them in the video.

I am having the hardest time getting this to work. Please bear with me. I am ready to start the Angelo Bronte mission. So, I entered ALL the cheat codes, but I did not activate them, because it gives me the "By activating a cheat you relinquish the ability to save single player game progress and unlock single player Accomplishments. Are you sure you want to activate this cheat?" warning. Do I go ahead and activate all the cheats I want BEFORE starting the mission, or just enter them, and NOT activate them? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Just ignore the message and press "ok" when it pops up. You will only get that notification upon entering the first cheat. Enter the cheats and activate them before starting the mission. Keep in mind that you will lose the trophy progression for that playthrough but this won't hurt your other saves.
Wow, thank you so much for the quick reply and help! I tried doing this last night, but when I finished, and got back to the camp, I saved, and went straight to bed, woke up the next morning and tried to use the cheats by clicking on them, but I got the same message as before, as far as do I want to proceed and not be able to save single player game progress. When I do the reload, do I load the autosave file, or the regular one? I could care less about achievements. I guess I'm just confused on saving, and reloading. That's my biggest problem. Any advice would be well appreciated!!! 🙂
@@RobertWilshire yeah. Load the autosave, go to Arthur’s room if you want to skip the party, sleep and when you wake up just read Mary’s letter or start any Stranger side mission as explained in the video. Then the game will let you save normally and you can overwrite any save slot you want.
Perfect...thank you. I just did exactly that, and after I read Mary's letter and put it away, I went into my settings and looked at my cheats, and when I try to activate one, it still gives me the message on not being able to save single player game progress! So, if I want to summon a horse, it gives me that message. If I want to reset my honor, it gives me that message...basically anything i try to change I get that stupid warning message. I can save the game now, (the little lock symbol has gone away), but how do I change weapon loadouts, or reset honor, or decrease honor, summon a horse and wagon, etc...?????????
@@RobertWilshire you get the horses you want and the money before the mission. They will stay but you can’t spawn other horses with cheats after the mission. Same goes for the cheats that have the “on” / “off” option. It will be turned off once the mission is over and you reload.
The method is basically “how to save after using cheats using a mission glitch” not “how to save cheats so I can use them constantly”. Hope that clears up some of the confusion.

I have no idea why that happens but if that’s the case then starting a stranger mission would work too. Or you just reload the autosave if it says “Angelo Bronte, A Man Of Honor”.
Also if this was done on replay then there will be no letter.

What do you mean by sleep? Sleep during missions? That’s not possible. But you can camp anywhere once you get out of Chapter 1.

@@johnschwaller6512 I suggest you turn off autosave since it may prevent you from doing some of the random encounters the way they are meant to be done. Only use it for glitches like this one.
