Probably an amount of mental issues.

    • @evahc7506

I believe his defense was self defense. I think he's saying that his girlfriend killed their daughter and set her and his son on fire? Then he killed her in self defense or attempted defense of the kids? But his daughter was dead and his son badly injured and had to spend time in hospital. His girlfriend was beat and shot dead. The only one uninjured seems to have been him?
His son says he did it but he claimed the boy had been told to say that by the detective who adopted him.
I've been watching the case and trying to give his defense a chance. BUT, even in the narrative that his girlfriend did this to the children.. did he just stand by while she killed the daughter, set her on fire, stabbed and attempted to burn the son and only then does he fight her and shoot her?
It just doesn't appear to make sense. There's too much that just doesn't add up.
I just hope his son will rise above what happened and break the cycle. Poor lad.

The professionalism of everyone in the courtroom (excluding O'Neal, obviously) needs to be applauded. Judge, prosecutors, "co defense council", court reporter, bailiffs, journalists, and jurors. This is not normal. Not a defendant representing themselves and not one like this. They have all allowed this to play out and kept it as in order as possible and legal, with calm and dignity. Me watch on the other hand, not so much. Hoping for a swift verdict but as long as it takes for convictions on all and justice for the two lives taken and for the little guy whose life was so significantly altered.

It was like 30 mins I watched it live he kept saying the same thing over an over about the phone records an 911 call. He tried this ah that they didn't have the 911 call on there at the right time or something I don't remember how he put it. It really wasn't a long time the judge actually told him it was almost 1239 an they had to take a lunch break so he went on another 5 mins he told her that he was about done just. Couple more mins an then he said he was done so the judge asked the juors to go look in the room see if they are ok with sitting in there to discuss the case after lunch an also if they wanted to listen to the da rebuttal closing argument sense it was gonna be like 10 mins am then do a late lunch which they decided to do.

For those of you asking why he is not handcuffed...If he were to be cuffed during the trial, he (or any future attorney he might obtain) could file an appeal on the grounds of a "tainted/biased jury." He/they could argue that the jury found him guilty because they were already biased by viewing him handcuffed. This is also why he is permitted to wear a suit/street clothes during the proceedings instead of his jail uniform. 😐

Him trying to prove this is a conspiracy, is the dumbest way to prove he's innocent. Even though the son didn't SEE you shoot his mom...he SEEN you hit his sister with an axe and he SEEN you stab him in the chest. 🤦🏾‍♀️Isn't that enough? So therefore if you attacked the son and his sister....you most likely attacked the mom as well. There is too much evidence. If he didn't kill the mother and daughter, then who did and why? He's not giving them any other suspects to look into.
