The Persecution fumbled the case. So many facts or incidents should have been included in the criminal trial. The suicide note, bronco chase, more important the phone calls that Nicole made to the police. Overall the so called Dream team put on a much better defense. Amen.
I completely agree with the flight argument. The prosecution dropped the ball on that one big time. If they argued it as OJs pattern of behavior i.e. He commits the murders then he flees he's charged then he flees.... I think it would have been as impactful as the spousal abuse tapes and perhaps more.
If flight from police is an evidence for murder case, then you need to send half of black people to death row.. Police wakes up black people from sleep in their homes and shoots them. They are fleeing the death squads for 400 years.
Prosecution misread and blew that entire case. it was pretty strong evidence. The blood alone was enough to convicy him plus the traffic witness they didnt call because she sold her story. So what? That doesnt mean it wasnt the truth
People will always have their opinions so I will share mine. 1.) LAPD blew it the minute they decided to go to OJ's house. Once they i.d. the victim, they shined the spotlight on OJ and, as a result they first convinced themselves of OJ's guilt and secondly, because they thought they had a slam dunk and excluded all other info. After they were deluded by their perceived guilt of O.J., they were sloppy and too quick to an end. As the one gentleman mentions, I was always puzzled by the fact that, with such a bloody scene, how was it that the prosecution focused its efforts on several little blood drops. How could OJ ( if he was guilty ) have not been covered in blood ? Then, bathed in blood, why didn't the police find large sites of blood and bloodstains in the Bronco and OJ's home. Why did police ignore possibly of a drug related murder ? What about the possibility that someone close to OJ may have committed the murder and then told OJ who went to the scene then left. Instead of investigating, authorities just like these panelists , had pre-conceived notions that OJ was guilty.
Vanatter Took the blood vial to OJs house…let me say that again…HE TOOK THE BLOOD VIAL TO HIS HOUSE…HE TOOK THE BLOOD VIAL TO HIS HOUSE….let that sink in please
You could eliminate ALL the blood evidence and there was still enough to convict OJ. The prosecution failed. They needed Bugliosi instead of Clarke and Darden.
@@brianlogan4243 No the blood evidence was the key without the blood there is no case and Vanatter had blood from all three people Ron Nicole and OJ and went to both crime scenes with the blood and he also took OJs socks home with the blood so all this so called mountain of evidence was completely invalidated by that.
What trial where they watching, shocked by the verdict? This was an easy defense case once they discovered all the blood was missing from the Crime Lab and the lead detective takes the Blood vile out to the crime scene. That’s reasonable doubt
Most people are still not aware of that. They get their info from the news. You sound like one of the few who actually watched the trial, or is aware of ALL the evidence.
Actually if you watch the very beginning it should never come to trial because shoes were taken home from the ojs house. I don’t think the booed at ojs was enough for the search. I say this as a mother who’s son had bloody noses all the time and if it happened when he’s as Lou eep it would look like murder in his crib. As a woman whose cut herself shaving her legs, that’s a lot of blood also.
The greatest flaw in the prosecution's case was the gloves that did not fit. It only meant they could not prove their case beyond all reasonable doubt, which is a foundation for proving a person accused of murder guilty.
I disagree. I always thought they were such a non issue. They shrunk because of the blood. He also had plastic gloves he had to wear while putting them on. Say they were small and tight like that. Its Oj. He ran through 220 pound men. Flinging them left and right to get a touchdown. I don't think tight gloves would render oj into a helpless newborn. The one glove came off when Ron was fighting back so he was doing it without a glove. That's the hand that got cut. There's no cut in the glove cause it was pulled off first. Btw the jury said that they were voting not guilty no matter what for payback. There's an interview with a juror I believe named Bess. She said 90% were voting not guilty no !matter what. Oj could have saved millions on lawyer bills.
This one Lawyer saying that the Verdict Form says Guilty or Not Guilty Not Innocent, But in the United States you are Innocent until Proven Guilty so the form doesn’t need to say Innocent your presume that anyway.
It's amazing that these lawyers seemed to believe that the DNA evidence wouldn't resonate with common jurors. I don't know if that was true in 1994 or not but it's definitely not true today. That's kinda interesting.

If oj didn't do that whole bronco chase madness it may not have spun so out of control like it did. It was like 80 million people globally watching that crazy circus.
It's a common misconception that a person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. The moment someone sits in the defendant's chair, everyone including the jury, the defence, the public and the judge are presuming guilt. So, the reality of this justice system is this: A person is guilty unless his defense team can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he/she is probably not guilty. In this case, the defense team delivered at a cost of 4 million dollars. A normal guy on the street would be in prison even now. Wake up people!
Sir, are you suggesting that African American people are NOT able or qualified to sit and judge objectively? Because if so, black juries find black men, and women guilty every day across the country...they are certainly intelligent enough to render fair verdicts...please do not let the oj verdict persuade you that they always support a person simply because of his/ her ethnicity.
No, it was tried in the wrong city. Not where it took place and it should have. Other wealthy people like OJ, not impoverished black victims with an axe to grind with LA police.

Some people, such as the presentator of this show, have been traumatized with the verdict of that trial ever since. They can't sleep and are still crying until today.
The prosecution should partly take the blame for the outcome of the trial because the collection and handling of the bool samples were problematic. It did not follow laid down procedure - in other words it was unprofessionally done. They lost it here on procedure
This trial was "The Miscarriage of Justice of the Century". I firmly believe there are defense lawyers, maybe some on this panel, who would rather see their obviously guilty client go free on a legal technicality rather than see justice be served. Just so they can chalk up another win and show everyone how smart they are. Guys like Johnny Cockroach, Bailey etc. and their pals Scheck, Neufeld among others.
This is an intelligent discussion. I agree with glenn that the prosecution overtried the case. However, even if they had streamlined their case, the jurors had already made up their minds up probably as soon as they first sat in the box.
If OJ did the killings he could only have done it with someone helping him. Did not have the time to commit the murders, get rid of clothes that surely must have been covered in blood and get picked up by Allen Park.
James Vaughan there's also the skill level needed to kill 2 people with a knife and do it quietly with out nicole or Ron screaming for help. No one can testify to OJ being at the scene.
+888 Wav There are loads of reasons why OJ could be found not guilty. Not saying he did not do it, or was not involved but more depth to the story than it first seemed
Maybe no one person can testify to Simpson having been there; however, the three sources of blood (Simpson, Brown, and Goldman) found at the crime scene, his Bronco, and his house sure can. HE DID IT. He all but admitted it in that "Lost Confession" he did in 2012. What truly innocent person willingly gives a "hypothetical" play by play of a crime he insists he didn't commit?!
What would those "loads of reasons" be? How do you explain his blood all over the crime scene, and Nicole's and Ron's blood in his car and house? Also, there were hair and fibers from Simpson's head and the carpet in his Bronco on Goldman's shirt. It was determined that the murderer had injured himself on the left hand side of his body, next to the bloody shoe prints that matched Simpson's foot size. OJ had a deep cut on his left hand finger which he had no explanation for. Was that all just a coincidence?
It's called engrained subconscious level racism. They aren't even aware of it. However it's pervasive and sadly it effects black people as well. We all need to wake up so this man's name can be cleared and his legacy restored.
What does everyone think of Brian Heiss UA-cam channel? He does a lot of OJ vids & is adamant in his innocence. I believe OJ’s guilty, but some of his vids are compelling.

And I am educated and I UNDERSTAND dna and I still would have voted NOT GUILTY. How the hell did they get DNA results back in 5 days?? They arrested OJ 6 days after the murders! Do you honestly think after they arrested OJ and the DNA doesn’t match or has errors they’re going to say oops our bad..we made a mistake let OJ go. Absolutely not! They had to keep up the charade. If OJ arrived home and went from his bronco to the front door leaving a bloody trail, how does that square with him dropping the glove as he came home climbing over the fence? Is the suggestion OJ arrived home twice from the same crime scene?
Who the hell was on the side of O.J.'s house, banging around at 10:40? A picture almost dropped off Kato's wall. Furhman was still sleeping at that time. Anyway, you could throw out 95% of the evidence in this case, and still prove O.J. slaughtered those two people.

Horrible timing (post Rodney King) plus millions of dollars for Shark Tank Defense Team plus mediocre case put forth by Prosecutors = O.J. gets away with double murder
The case had nothing to do with race but was made a case about race by the defence. They put OJ up on a pedestal and made him out to be some kind of civil rights hero, when in fact OJ had many more white friends then black, many thought he had long turned his back on the black community. OJ himself said the case had nothing to do with race but his defence knew if they made it about race then it might be a way out for him. The defence even went to OJ's house and took down all the pictures of white people and replaced them with pictures of Martin Luther King etc.
Mark Furhman who is a racist officer made it known, that the next time he finds out about oj being into abusive situation, he was going to do everything in his power to put Oj behind bars.
I’ve done this, and it gave me 10 different reasons for acquittal. One of the top reasons was the timeline. Then the edta, Mark Furman, glove not fitting, Vannatter taking OJs blood out of the police station, 1.5cc’s of his blood that went missing. Etc etc

Nicole was a large woman. Goldman was a third degree blet belt. It woiuld have taken someone very physical to kill them. Like an athlete.
Let’s hope this closing argument is better than Marcia’s or Darden’s!
I have to be honest and defend Marcia Clark...actually, she is pretty good attorney, but her CO counselor did not assist her at all...it appears that Chris' role was to simply muddy the water and attempt to do as Tracy by all( unnecessarily) whine and object to Silly and unsubstantiated, and stupid complaints...in my opinion, Marcia was a top level and respected lawyer who o was impressed with...I truly do not believe that Chris helped her out and frankly, Chris proved to be more of a hindrance to poor Marcia...the prosecution team certainly didn't have as chance against big time highly respected and Quality/ Superior lawyers...the old adage proves true, you get what you pay for!
She was going thru a divorce. How was she so strong
I believe OJ did it. But when you get caught trying to frame a guilty man acquittal is what should happen. OJ's lawyers out lawyered the prosecution. Plain and simple.
KoolHandDuke NO evidence of a frame up. NONE.
Not to forget Judge Ito allowed the race card to be played. Clarke didnt have the experience or reputation to prosecute the case and the judge let the defense roll over him.
@@brianlogan4243 --The race card huh? Something truly unheard of before the OJ case.
I dont believe they did. Ito let the defense run all over him. Its irrelevent if Furhman was racist or not. Everyday thousands of cops black and white give testimony in cases like this and whether or not they have used racial expletives is never permitted in testimony.
@@brianlogan4243 --Well that's just too bad. And since you think it's irrelevant that the chief witness who was a lying racist makes no difference, Perhaps it made a difference to Ito and others that care about such humane things. I just wish this all had not been wasted on OJ.

The Persecution fumbled the case. So many facts or incidents should have been included in the criminal trial. The suicide note, bronco chase, more important the phone calls that Nicole made to the police. Overall the so called Dream team put on a much better defense. Amen.
I would love to hear their take now YIKES..
Probably be the same. The defense didn’t win. The prosecution lost.
I completely agree with the flight argument. The prosecution dropped the ball on that one big time. If they argued it as OJs pattern of behavior i.e. He commits the murders then he flees he's charged then he flees.... I think it would have been as impactful as the spousal abuse tapes and perhaps more.
Daniel Vazquez counter arguments
(If flight prove guilt, explain why guilty people turn themselves in?)
@@brianlogan4243 The blood EDTA.
@@brianlogan4243 Shively a convicted liar.
That's wat I said he stabbed two people viciously to death he didn't have enough blood in or around him for me to have doubts
The fact his blood was there and her blood was at rockingham before they took his blood is the answer
@@brianlogan4243 No the blood evidence is all they had lol

Never been a fan of prosecutors but they really made a circus of this case.
The greatest flaw in the prosecution's case was the gloves that did not fit. It only meant they could not prove their case beyond all reasonable doubt, which is a foundation for proving a person accused of murder guilty.

Plain and SIMPLE

It's a common misconception that a person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
The moment someone sits in the defendant's chair, everyone including the jury, the defence, the public and the judge are presuming guilt.
So, the reality of this justice system is this:
A person is guilty unless his defense team can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he/she is probably not guilty.
In this case, the defense team delivered at a cost of 4 million dollars.
A normal guy on the street would be in prison even now.
Wake up people!

With respect, don’t you think we should have more a mixture of Jury, like 5 black 5 white then few from other ethnic groups???
Sir, are you suggesting that African American people are NOT able or qualified to sit and judge objectively? I firmly believe there are defense lawyers, maybe some on this panel, who would rather see their obviously guilty client go free on a legal technicality rather than see justice be served. There was absolutely no evidence of a second assailant.

The case had nothing to do with race but was made a case about race by the defence. They put OJ up on a pedestal and made him out to be some kind of civil rights hero, when in fact OJ had many more white friends then black, many thought he had long turned his back on the black community. OJ himself said the case had nothing to do with race but his defence knew if they made it about race then it might be a way out for him.
