Have I reached asian auntie level now? 😂
On another note, we are still taking merch suggestions! ❤️ let us know what you’d like to see, wear, etc!
Can you make a South Indian recipe next?
@@saiqanazrin6542 we’re wrapped on season 1 but you can DM Katie on Instagram @oldladiekatie for any suggestions for season 2!! ❤️
Ye we need some Indian recipes it would be great if u put in a word for it in season two
yes you have😂 😭
And I can’t dm Katie cause I have no Instagram
the “i know” killed me 😭 tofu is tahu in indonesian, meanwhile tahu can also mean know, so that’s probably how google got “i know”. i had to fight the urge to tell her what it actually means 🤣
you're not alone 🤣
yeahhh. haha. because in malaysia same we called it tahu tu
nah!
iya juga ya lol
omg now i get it!!! hahaha tahu = i know = tofu 🤣🤣
GAHH thank you for having me! I thought I was being reeeeallllll tricky with this one
She's just smart 😂
Just a tip for vegans/vegetarians: Worcestershire sauce is NOT usually suitable for these diets, as it contains anchovies. You have to specify vegetarian Worcestershire sauce.
Or Henderson's relish which is pretty much identical to worcestershire sauce minus anchovies
And cesar dressing not related but not vegan
I think jasmine is begging to speak translation now, she’s acquiring the way of speaking that these recipes have; “no good” “it be working” sound like something these kind of recipes could say 😂
a lot of people say that, its slang
@@kl__. sorry English isn’t my first language
Jasmine: I think „wheat“ is flour…
Also Jasmine: *proceeds to add potato starch instead*
tbf it wasn't flour either 😭 it was corn starch
I love watching Jasmine figure out the steps. I human bean 😆 Worcester sauce is really nice on cheese on toast (grilled cheese) 😋
@Se He Worcestershire is a place, Worcester is the sauce
@@lizzykate93 have you seen the sauce?
@@lizzykate93 It’s Worcestershire sauce
@@lizzykate93 isn't the terminology just the same as Buffalo Wings? It's named after the place
@@Quill14 Yes, it comes from my country. We call it Worcester but maybe you call it Worcestershire I America which is making more work for yourself 😅
i know why the ingredients “I know” is translated into tofu..
in bahasa indonesia, tofu is translated into “tahu”, which means also could be translated into “know/understand”…
makes sense
Lol,the way it took her 5 seconds to realize "lemon" is in lemongrass3😆
"8 ounces of oz"
Jasmine: Bean curry sheets!
"lemongrass3"
Jasmine: What?
For those asking about the inclusion of Worcestershire sauce, there are vegan versions of it sold in stores and you can also make your own at home.
But it's not really Worcestershire sauce without the anchovies though
Well, we also have vegan milk nowadays, so?
I'm a big fan of lost in translation...... i really love how Jasmine tries to know the original Recipe 🐸❤❤❤❤
Lost. In. Translation. 🤦🏻♂️
@@Lukewarm326 not in transition 💀
@@Lukewarm326 sorry it is my keyboard 🥲💔
@@kawaiikira cancel the keyboard 🤩
@@kawaiikira the keyboard doesn't derserve you, throw it away
“Can never go wrong with all purpose flour” would be a good merch idea i know it’s kinda long but would be cute
Merch idea Jasmine ALWAYS says "you can't go wrong with AP flour" and that's hearsay no objections.
OBJECTION HEARSAYYYYY
ooooooooh all purpose flour!!!! We dont call that here(AP short form). I was doing some mental translation n I gotta account for cultural aspects too, N I just thought of AP exams! but ye in a sec I got what ur saying
one episode with all three of you doing it together please ❤️
I like how Jasmine looks at the camera like “is that right?” And I’m just like “IDK”
Katie's cackle when Jasmine realizes she's wrong 😂
1:49
the way the bowl slided was so graceful
Back when Jasmine said “More Grease, more better.”
In the first translation video made me laugh so hard I exploded 🤯
Jasmine is so awesome at this! She might not get it 100% right but she comes pretty darn close 😊
First time watching this. Gotta say, I'm a huge fan. So funny, so wholesome, and actually looks somehow edible at the end.
i can't believe you managed to make drumsticks out of that recipe! you're brilliant
oooh so glad this is a series! i just watched the strawberry king king once and needed more haha. i loved the old episodes where there was no check sign and no viewers knew whether what they're doing is right or wrong so it feels like we're figuring everything out with the one cooking in the video. it's hilarious
Haha she did a good job! I wouldnt have thought to make them into a shape of a drumstick based on those translations 😂👏🏼
Amazing video, I always love this series because it’s so consistent and realistic to what actual cooking is like 😂
I literally died when jasmine put the drumsticks in the oven. Oof
in love with this series
I am obsessed with this series
This is the best series along with Make it Big & Make it fancy
aaahhh everytime i see a new video it just makes my day and i am automatically soo happy. Thank you soo much 🥰🥰
Love this series!!!
I love this series Soo much I really hope it stays a thing!! I look forward to it every week! and just when you think it can't get better, freaking Merle, our vegan queen pops in!!! 😍😍😍 I'm so glad this was a vegan one too!! keep up the amazing work guys!! 🤗🤗🤗💖
I'm literally obsessed with these
I have been waiting for the series I watched them all yesterday and waited for more ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
Everybody else: watching the video
Me: **wondering how they read the recipe without laughing once**
It's so entertaining to watch jasmine 💕💕
I love this series so much
You just make our Sundays better❤👩🍳
Thanks for sharing this recipe. It's a great way to add some variety to our usual meal plan.
I love this series!!!!!!!
I completely lost it due to Katie and Kelly’s reaction when Jasmine pulled out the cucumber and described it as the ‘long lemon’
Loving these series of course Jasmine my favourite ❤️ always makes me laugh 😂 nice intro to Merle 😊
Love this series
YESSS MY FAV SERIESS
Merch idea: why not print whole translated recipes on dish towels or aprons (or TShirts)? That way you get cool quotes like „add salad and cry“ and a recipe at the same time!
I would totally buy a whole set of towels with Strawberry King King, Fun in a Glass, Cat Papyrus….
Omg I love these videos. I would love to see more videos with two people trying to work it out together
I'd love to see the whole recipe and all the languages it got translated to. Just to see how certain words get changed along the way. lol
Yessss me too! I’m multilingual and absolutely adore languages and linguistics so this would be super interesting for me 😍😍😍
SAME
You are really smart to decipher all this... I am impressed!
Of course it still came out amazing!
Oh my Lordy lord I love lost in translation I’ve seen every episode like three times lol love u guys
i would love a Tshirt that says „I think I’m gonna go with nutritional yeast“
Lost in translation is basically make a new recipe and I love it! We should make more new recipes this way.
Oh man i love this seriessss ......
How did you get from honey to mushrooms?
Things happen. 😂😂
My favourite series
I miss this show so much 🥺.
Can you do more west Indian food and especially the sweets as there are so many to choose from
I love your videos
please also show kelly and katie tasting the dish, its what makes cooking videos even more fun when there are multiple taste testers
omg i love this challenge... it must continue 4ever and eveeeeeer :D
sometimes Jasmine can turn the tables of course :3 it's always fun ...
The best serie of youtube
"How did you get from honey to mushrooms" 😂
13:39 is my favourite bit
Just curious why Katie asks for decisions to be made quickly? Is there a certain amount of time allotted for filming these episodes?
We need merch of all the wrong ways Jasmine says Worcestershire sauce!
Kinda wish Katie would be the decoder again from time to time :)
Thank you, it sure is worth a few dozen translations, Thumbs up, and keep rolling.
Love this series. Can you do an ice cream cake or ice cream
13:39 SHE REALLY SAYING "IS IT?" OML 😭
YAY A NEW ONE
INGREDIENTS
1 pkg pizza dough (Tiseo, Delallo, Trader Joe’s, any kind you like)
8 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese
6 oz. grated romano cheese
2 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, grated
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
If you’re using frozen dough, let it thaw and rise a little. If you’re making Delallo or any other store-bought dough, let it rise a bit before using.
Add the olive oil to a casserole dish to grease it and then add your dough to the dish. And spread out evenly as best you can to make sure it’s taking up the whole dish (the olive oil with make this a little tricky, but take your time).
With the tips of your fingers, gently press down (like you’re typing) on top of the dough, just enough to make cute little divots into the dough.
Melt the 2 Tbsp butter and the grated garlic in a small dish, then brush evenly on top of the dough.
Top with Mozzarella, all the way to the edges of the dish, evenly. Then do the same with the Romano cheese.
Bake for 30 minutes and then check to make sure it’s golden brown.
Turn the oven on broil and broil for ONE MINUTE - no more than one minute or you’ll burn your cheese and cry into a casserole dish, wondering what might have been.
Once the minute of broiling is done, it will be golden brown with a few bubbles on top.
Please dip into marinara or, even better, ranch dressing to enjoy.
Tell me how it went
Jets pizza breadsticks recipe leaked
I live ur vids! I never missed an episode
I'd love for her to get something completely wrong. Like, a cake recipe and she ends up frying something lol
I bet she would still manage to make it tasty though
Damn! Love Jasmine. She’s hilarious 🤣
Merle!! I've missed your content!
Yas thank you!!!!
Anyone else already know what she was making after seeing Merle and the tofu skins?
My favourite number is 5, so I love this recipe
I'm also really enjoying the editing
Jasmine: I freeze under pressure
Jasmine: 🥶 🧊
60 years later …
Jasmine: I’m Captain Jasmine
This is the funniest episode yet
LOL - Mimo's so savage, I love it.
She should make a cake that has a special shape or design make it extra challenging🤣🤣
I hope once in a while the other girls can also try this again just to mix it up and make it more interesting lol 😂
Yass i knew it was the vegan chicken once i saw the bean curd sheets! 😌
I absolutely live for jasmine!! the Asian auntie level got me cracking up
Kelly:🧐 🤔 👍 😮
Jasmine: 😳😥😮
That little twitch at like 4:42 is the funniest thing
Yes you can😍👏👏
Hi will you be posting a link to the original recipe ?
Belle video merci pour le partage❤👍
omg i remember merle from the i draw u cook ep
Similar to me reading questions from exams hahaha first time to watch this series, hoping there's more to come.
Great video! Although it's obvious that Jasmine probably knew that it was a vegan recipe from the beginning otherwise the guest wouldn't be able to taste the amazing '' vegetable grinder '' haha. I don't mind at all, but it made it easier to eliminate any animal products like eggs, chicken broth, etc.😊
“Hmmmmmm that’s really good!!”
*whispers*
“iS iT!?”
Thank you for doing a vegan episode
Please make norwegian school bread bext, it would be so fun to watch.
Yessss
Love the editor
I wonder if it would be fun to make lost in translation DRINKS for a change??? 👀✨✨✨
I bought one of you’re spatulas today
is there somewhere you put the real recipe in full so we xan try to make it? I have a sister that is vegetarian and would love to make these BBQ chicken drumsticks for her for Mwmorial day BBQ today!!
