Emily and Saul are the best personality combo out there. She's adorable and never afraid to take on a challenge, and he's charismatic and entertaining while also being educational.
Chef Saul is definitely the most creative of all the chefs. Without adding in a ton of extra ingredients he always busts out something very original and delicious looking.
I love that he doesn’t do like a lot of chefs. He sticks to her ingredients, many pull out other stuff to do their dish. He does a great job of sticking to the assignment.
I mean honestly I think Frank has done it like 2 o 3 times maybe but he doesn’t anymore. Saul has also cheated a few times but he doesn’t do it anymore. They probably told them to not do that
Yeah I understand why the pros really want to put out something creative/complex and up the ante but I would definitely like to see their spin on something truly basic. An extra ingredient here and there isn’t a deal breaker tho, might be a good way to elevate it

Man! It’s hard, but I tray to stick to the rules 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I don't know why but everytime Saul is on a video my mood always becomes better. Everthing he says is either funny or educational. I actually never write comments except if I want to compliment Saul. Saul is just awesome and a cool guy.
When you screech when you see an Emily and Saul video, and your Mexican boyfriend looks over your shoulder, rolls his eyes, and says "oh your other Mexican boyfriend-numero dos". Dos?! Sir-- he was the first. Saul is always numero uno!
Emily is that dorky friend you'd like to try out new recipes with. You'd both end up making a huge mess, but had a lot of chaotic fun doing it. Saul is the dad we wanted as a kid, spoiled to all hell with his cooking. You know his family eats good
OMGGGG. I would love a series of a pair of chef and homecook pitted against each other!! Frank and Lorenzo are my favourite duo aside from Saul and Emily!!!
I don't have anything too intelligent or insightful to say just that you guys at epicurious are killing it. I love the team you have here and it's such a warm happy vibe you get with these videos.
@ @Chef Saúl Montiel ok chef I made them. And man, do you make this look easy. First, the jalapeños I could find were small and once I cleaned out the seeds they were floppy and barely held together. Also, trying to char the peppers was a challenge! The stuffing was good, though a little dry, but the star of the show was definitely the chutney. Yummmm. It took an hour, my kitchen was a greasy mess, and there was too much dough to pepper ratio. But they were tasty (especially that chutney!). Not sure I would try them again though. 😏
I love that Emily was open to the challenge...she's definitely on her way to being a Level 2 and someday even Level 3 chef. Saul *screaming* lol! Always a joy watching this guy. Well done Epicurious
Saul is the absolute best. Just a wonderful, charming man who is confident that he knows exactly how to handle food. It is just incredible to watch how his mind works & see him pull it off. Give the man his own show already!
This show is so wholesome, just gives an amature a chance to work with something fun that they usually can't afford. Gives the pros a chance to flex by going back to the basics. And all in all both contenders just want both to have two great meals.
What Saul made reminds me of these pizza empanadas my grandma used to buy me. I love how he really transforms the ingredients. Emily also has such a genuine personality, she seems so fun and approachable.
Frank was the established Level 3 Chef GOAT, but Saul is definitely coming for the throne. So charismatic and clearly a terrific chef, I am so glad he is in so many videos!
I want to see Saul and Frank square off, maybe Epicurious could make their own kind of Pro Iron Chef series with all of the pro chefs making amazing things with limited ingredients
This is such a great series. I hope it encourages other home cooks to see how versatile cooking can be, and when you really think about food you’ve eaten in the past, or something that may “sound cool”, it can be done with whatever ingredients you can get your hands on. I don’t own a stand mixer, but as long as you have a big enough bowl, you can make your own dough. Depending on what you’re making and when, you could leave it in the fridge, with just a cloth on top to lead it cold rise.
Day -- of asking for an episode of Rose showing us her skills. She sounds super sophisticated and knowledgeable about food when they ask for her help. I. Want. To. See. Her. Cook. And I bet it would delicious af.
Omg Saul is funny af. I got this (points to his head) I got this (points to his heart) and I got this (points to his guns) I can't stop laughing and it has only been 1:22 into the video. What a wild roller coaster of laughter!
This has to be the first time I didn’t know what the chef was going to do🙈I learnt my lesson..NEVER DOUBT CHEF SAUL!! Those mini calzones look awesome!
Holy moly, I think Saul is way too creative, I love how he makes magic with so little stuff! And Emily I just love her, she has this very nervous persona but always comes through with the tough stuff!
I'm a home cook. I've only been cooking for about a year or two. My goal is to get food on the table that is quick, requires little clean up, and is or course delicious. I'm still learning every day how to improve and how to add new recipes to my weekly menu. My spice cabinet and my fresh herb garden are literally my life.

He is like that guy from Food Wars anime.
I love him, but I think the most creative one is chef Esther
@@redaghassah7718 Esther is rally using everything so there's no waste, Saul makes up stuff you wouldn't ever think of when making a certain dish.

We met Saul at his restaurant this past weekend. Genuinely nice guy that came out to wish my wife a happy birthday and take some pictures with us
I remember you 🤩🤩🤩🤩
@ hello saul how are you doing
I love that he doesn’t do like a lot of chefs. He sticks to her ingredients, many pull out other stuff to do their dish. He does a great job of sticking to the assignment.
As much as I like Frank that is one thing I don't like about him in this series. It kills the entire point when he starts adding items.
I enjoy these videos a lot more when the pro chefs don't cheat.

'Dont do what I say, sometimes' words of wisdom from Chef Saul
Chef Saul and his eternal love of the spicy is beautiful to watch
Chef Saul's recipes are astounding. I made his mango/pomegranate guacamole and it took the evening. People talk about it months later.
Your welcome 🙏🏻 😂😂🤩🤩🤩👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Not even Ben Wyatt could conceive of a calzone as beautiful as Chef Saul's.
I was looking for this comment 😂
Kalzzzzooooonneee...
Calzones are pointless. It's just pizza harder to eat. No one likes them.
