Love the feel of this. So dark and desolate. Was really on the fence about picking an Octatrack up to pair with or replace Live/Push. Most of my hesitation stems from how it seems to be used only for techno, glitch, and hip-hop. Wasn't sure it would fit with my style (Dark cinematic/ambient/industrial). Your tune was a clear reminder that it's just a tool, and it's the person wielding it that makes the difference.
Thanks. Yep, you're right. I don't see the octatrack as a groove box at all...but like you said as a very creative tool for any kind of music. I did not see not much on your channel. More to come ?
Sorry. Didn't see your msg. First sound is from the octatrack. But it all started with a sample, which i transform in various ways. And the sample may be from the A4. I often do that.
Thank you. The voice sample is from a friend (and set to 120 bpm). But the tempo of this track is 30bpm, so the voice is time streched a lot, which produce this effect (+ delay)
hey nice work I've just got the Octatrack and already have the analog 4 do you use the midi part of the Octatrack to control the A4 or just have them midi synced? by that I mean are you using the MIDI part on the Octatrack to control the A4 parts
Thomas Kjelsrud Yes: soundcloud.com/tintao, but i post my newer tracks here on youtube. I do re-use alot my samples. Most of them are self made (especially the pad, drones and strings). The octatrack is a really great machine. I was using Ableton live, and with the octa, and the way i make music, i don't need computer anymore.
Yep, there: dakitanmonkey.bandcamp.com/track/ambient-system-i1 . (you don't have to pay anything even if it propose u to do so. Tell me if it works, I'm not familiar with bancamp).
This is a great tune. you are to be proud for this upload. Very nice...Wish i can give you a double like....i'm need to do a song like this..check out my channel as well.

Ah. My main SC is here.

Ah cool. thanks.
So calming. Really nice. Love how slow the octatrack is sequenced!
+Ed Kennedy Thank you
Excellent stuff! These machines really do shine when in the right hands.
thanks
Bonne continuation. :)
Merci. J'ai pas publié depuis plusieurs mois. Mais ça va revenir, j'attends mon Digitakt d'un jour à l'autre :)
dakitanmonkey Super, me tarde d'entendre ça! 😀
unique. Very well done
thanks
Really beautiful stuff you are doing! Love it! Wishing I could get an Octatrack, but being a starving artist and all at the moment...
Genshi Media Group thank you.
great work here!
thanks
loved it. subscribed for more! keep em coming!
thanks. next video is coming soon.
Great stuff!
So good!!
Thanks
How did you do this? Please help! Wonderful soundscape.
Well it's a difficult question to answer. Could you please ask some more specific on sounds, or some on specific time step.
Thank you.
Buy an Elektron Octatrack and Analog 4. Read the manuals. Then it will all make sense.
I use the same 2 boxes! This is excellent.
Good combo for ambient music.
dakitanmonkey The FX on both boxes help there. I probably overuse the delays on the OT;) Love your music.
Seen From Space
Sure. These are complete machines. I overuse the reverb, the DJ equalizer (very powerfull to transform radicaly sounds), and the rate.

very nice
The first sound for instance. Is it a sample or is it A4?
I have an A4 already, and will buy an Octatrack tomorrow!

beautiful!
+space travel made easy thank you
Nice ambient !! How did u make that vocal sound around 6:00 ? Like a animal sound so cool

Hi Jamie. Thanks. Well no, i never use the midi part of the Octatrack. Since the A4 got is own sequencer, i use it :). Much easier.
this is excellent, have you similar releases on Bandcamp? if so what name do you release under
Thank you. here is my bandcamp : dakitanmonkey.bandcamp.com/
excellent!
thanks.
are you on soundcloud? btw - I'm actually looking to buy Octa. Do you re-use a lot of the samples or do you need to add new samples all the time?
Thomas Kjelsrud
