Tim has a 5+ octave vocal range. The low note was all Chance.
@Marjo Arendse Chance is not bass, he's a Baritone, whose range also heads down into bass territory.
@@azekel7687 He was a baritone before his voice changed in his teens! Still has it, though!! 😆😆
@Amanda k It was both of them
If you want more Home Free songs with Tim in his higher range check out Snow Globe (original) and Tim and Austin did a cover of My Maria with some other friends on Austin’s channel. I will never cease to be amazed by the guys in Home Free.
Definitely those two are awesome!!
Agree!!! 😊
Yes absolutely😃
I just love Snow Globe! One of my favorites
@@conniedavis7469 oh yes. Snowglobe, another original by Tim, right?
Yes sir, as we Home Fries say...Home Free does a lot of covers, BUT they don't just cover them they ELEVATE them. Chance has either a 3 or 4 octave range....and he is a very, very competant bass. It why Chris leaving the group and Chance joining them was so awesome. Chris could sing some bass but only for a few notes...Chance can free up Tim to sing a whole song in his higher range. Have you seen their latest they dropped yesterday... Brothers in Arms ...it's a masterpeice of 5 part harmony... no beatboxing. It's a must to add to your list
Definitely do Brothers in Arms, it'll blow you away.
@@dotwyness4110 it's so amazing Dot I can't stop listening to it
Tim's 5 Octaves. Check out "My Maria" with Austin. Mind blowing!!!
I 2nd this....and it's a true country song
Yes absolutely!!
There it is. HF has TWO bass beasts, both of whom can wail well up into the tenor range with ease. Tim started high and stayed there the whole time on this one, notably including the high harmony ABOVE Rob on the end. Like most of us, you didn't really notice Chance until he dropped that bomb but he was on the bottom the whole time. Aren't you glad you waited? Enjoyed your reaction, do carry on.
Tim has a 5 octave range, A0 to B5
Chance has a 4 octave range, and did that note alone !
Incidentally, this was done in the same key as Cam did it in.
If I was Cam I would call the guys and ask "Eh... guys! Can I join in and sing my song with you, it would be an honour!" Home Free ALWAYS elevate a song in to a different level and "Mayday" is one of their finest covers!
NOW LISTEN! Just drop everything you're doing and make a reaction to Home Free's rendition of Dire Straits "Brothers In Arms". Trust me! Do it!
Instead of doing covers, Home Free does upgrades! Love your reaction!
lol 3 seconds in an there it is - "the look" - utter confusion. Then the incredulous look when Chance hits that awesome bass note. Home Free is so fortunate to have a bass who can hit the high tenor notes and a 2nd bass who can also hit all the low notes.
The expression on your face when Tim was singing and then again with Chance: Priceless! Great reaction! This is why we ask people to wait. You need to know what they sing before doing this song. They just released Brothers in Arms. I hope you react to this.
ROFL at your response to Tim… “I’ll try tenor. Why not?” And you’re right. He nailed it… And yeah. Chance was a revelation, too.
Just asking, why I can't see the video it's like its blocked. Don't know why its know it's not on a separate screen. Like your reactions, but the visual not to be desired
@@marklichnovsky6534 I saw it just fine… 🤷🏻♀️
Yeah, watch Tim on Austin Brown’s channel absolutely nail every high note with Austin doing the lower tenor on My Maria!
Their latest, Brothers in Arms, is breathtaking also.
Like I mentioned in the comments yesterday, Home Free is singing in the same key as "Cam"! Tim has a 5+ octave range! He's probably the lowest bass singer on the planet & he can sing high tenor! That's why we love him! He's a "beast"! Chance has a pretty wide range himself & that was all Chance! He was the bass singer for Street Corner Symphony before Chris Rupp chose him as his replacement. ALL these guys are so muti-talented & versatile & they share the spotlight to have the best person singing depending on the song! This is the reason Home Fries are so loyal! These guys are THE best & the most genuine, down-to-earth guys in the business! We always LOVE to see the reactions to "Mayday" & the surprise on the reactors' faces!🤪 😲🤔Love, love, love your reaction!😍
Tim started as a tenor and then turned into a natural bass with a 5 octave range. Chance was actually a bass in his last group the Street Corner Symphony. That's why you need to see more videos before you watch this one. Truly enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.
Yeah Adam Chance has a beautiful bass voice he was the bass singer for street corner also a product of a television show called The Sing-Off we're home free came from a different season but joined home Free later on shortly after Chris rupp Adam's brother left
Great reaction! Part of the reason why HF is so exceptional is the fact that their two basses can also sing tenor parts with ease, which allows for very flexible arrangements in a variety of vocal textures.
Adam Chance was the bass singer in his former group Street Corner Symphony. He joined Home Free when Chris Rupp, the vocal percussionist’s brother and cofounder of Home Free, left the group.
The Home Fries KNOW & will never steer you wrong. We all know it's best to wait for this one.
Your facial expressions, though. Lol
Love it❣🥰
Now you know why we wanted you to wait with this one if you reacted to soon you would not have got that WTF look we fries love to see reactors get LOL first Tims tenor then here comes Chance with his bass , pretty soon we will start requesting all of HF´s christmas songs so i´ll give you 2 of my favorites both are originals -- 1. Snowglobe 2. Cold Hard Cash , see you in your next reaction much love from Denmark
I'm always floored when I hear all the different vocal ranges! Simply amazing! 😀
Whatever you didn't think could be done - they CAN do it! Not just one of them but each and everyone! And to make it even more amazing, they keep getting better and better! I've seen them twice and l can't wait until they're in Maine again! I'm very happily addicted to these extremely talented guys! LOVE 'EM
Tim and Chance switch back and forth on bass😊
New release by Home Free 'Brothers in Arms' is incredible.
..
Wow!! What a switch up. Such talent in this group.
This song is one of my favorites. So glad you waited to react to it. Your surprise at hearing the switch ups in the voices was great. Tim can sing in a beautiful higher tenor voice along with Austin & Rob. And Chance can hit the lower bass notes when needed. And Adam did a fabulous job as always with his vocal percussion. This song is sung by a woman Cam, so they sung it in a higher key to match the original.
Tim has a 5+ octave range!! I've heard him go even higher...amazing voice!!
Classic Home Free! The switch up is so fun!
This one and In The Blood made me a forever fan.
Christmas is coming - there is a great collaboration between Kenny Rogers and Home Free singing a Christmas carol.
In response to your statement "Austin is singing a bit higher than usual "....well you absolutely need to react to 'WHEN A MAN LOVES A WOMAN'...(forgive me if u already have)
Now that song is an eye opener !!
Thx so much for your reactions!!
Exactly! Tim the bass singing tenor 5+ octave, Chance 4 octave & sang bass in his previous group, and all the guys sang in the same key as the original which is probably undoable for most men since it's by a female but not for our guy's! They are phenomenally talented! Would you please react to the latest release from yesterday by HF titled
" BROTHER'S IN ARM'S " cover of the hit from Dire Straits. It is in honor of VETERAN'S DAY coming up soon! Thank you very much!
You will love Drum Solo Adam is “Amazing”
Absolutely loved your reaction. Tim is just a beast with his 5 octave range and he nailed this song. These guys are just amazing in every song they do. Can't wait for more Home Free from you!!!
Great reaction!! Thanks 😀 Home Free is a neverending surprise!
Tim has 5 octaves and can sing tenor....Chance can sing very low bass too. Always the surprise.
Wow I am impressed with your ability to impose the background of the video with yourself. You sir have talent.
Wow!! Excellent!! Thank you!!
Your reaction to Tim leading on this song is priceless. Tim is the man!
Great reaction!. You should also check out Austin and Tim's backyard performance of "My Maria" This is another one that shows Tim's versatility.
When Chance sings Ring of Fire live, he goes lower than Avi did in the Official video.
It doesn’t matter how often I listen to this, always goosebumps! I mean I know it’s coming, couldn’t stop them if I wanted!!
Home Free Forever!! Home Fry forever! Ty for your reaction!
Great reaction, your facial expressions were wonderful.
Love this song and the way they sang it. Thanks for your great reaction!
These guys are awesome!!
Love Home Free
well, your face said it all haha first at Tim singing, and then at Chance. great reaction.
They just dropped the cover of Dire Straits Brothers in Arms and it is wonderful!
Wonderful reaction. It surprised me too when I first heard it. Thank you and have a good one.
I just have to say not only do I love your HF reactions but also love how you present them. Love that we can see you but HF in full image in a wonderful way. I love it!
I really enjoyed seeing your reactions of Cam's original and this in that order. Thank you! 'Mayday' is probably my top favorite of Home Free. Their cover of Dire Straights' "Brothers in Arms" is full of the most beautifully sculpted harmonies and a powerfully emotional message.
Yes, that bass note was all Chance! Their version of this song is just incredible! You should go to Austin Brown's youtube channel and listen to him and Tim sing "My Maria" ... phenomenal!
Tim has more than a 5 octave vocal range. An amazing gift...
😂😂 The look on your face……stop video……”Tim’s bass…”. That’s the reason everyone says wait, get well acquainted with them first. Tim’s five octave range is amazing. This (for me) is so so so much better than the original by Cam, they just don’t compare at all. Great reaction!!!
That is why you were advised to get to know the group before checking out Mayday. Tim covered tenor this entire song and Chance did bassline throughout. Check out Austin and Tim doing My Maria. You really need to check the audio version of Tim singing I Can't Help Falling in Love With You. His is my favorite version of that song. Tim has a 5+ octave range. The new release, Brothers in Arms, he stays in the cellar!
They are a wonderful group. I love listening to them
Love your reaction.Home fries are never surprised by their talent.
This is not a song I would listen to constantly but it's one of my favorites to watch reactors who know HF. I love their expressions when the song starts with Tim singing in his high falsetto and ends with Chance hitting that low note and you didn't disappoint!! I love all your reactions. One of my favorite channels
Yes!! Chance is also a bass!! He takes over on bass when Tim's singing higher. Chance was a bass singer in another acapella group before he was in HF.
That is, indeed, Chance on that note. Tim was singing harmony. Chance has a 4 octave range.
Chance is actually an amazing bass, he was bass for Street Corner Symphony before he joined Home Free, for a super fun song, please check out Street Corner Symphony's cover of Uptown Funk, Chance is bass on it.
Just subscribed. You have reacted to at least three Home Free video's and I'm sure you're not done. They are amazing.
Tim is a math teacher with a 5 octave range...Rob was a bar tender.... never judge a book by its cover
Go Rest High should be next
For more Chance I always recommend I Can't Outrun You. My favorite of his
Also "Some girls do", "Yours" & "Cover me up".
Chance really has a beautiful smooth baritone.
They are so versatile
Now you understand why we wanted you to wait and get the individual singers/ranges firmly in your head before you heard Mayday! I am going to their concert here in NC next Thursday and can't wait! And you sir, have caused me to unsub from about 10 other reactors! I appreciate your content more than all the others put together! Keep going, you're doing a great job!
If you haven't already check out their cover of Patsy Clines'
Crazy. They did a fantastic job. Austin sings lead
Yeah Tim was just showing off his 5 octave range for ya. And yeah that was all Chance. He used to be a bass in his old group before he joined HF. Tim has amazing range. To hear Tim go really low, HF just released Brothers in Arms…goodness it’s good. Love Mayday. Adam was great on the beatboxing too. To hear Chance go low try I Can’t Outrun You. It’s beautiful. Good reaction Taylor!
Hello from Kentucky, USA..i love your reactions!! Keep them coming, they are all great! Your friend across the pond, Jodie, United States💝💝
They all did a fabulous job with this song, it is one of my favorities. Tim and Chance usually get most of the comments so I am so glad you gave Austin some points for a great job. Love your reactions !!
Awesome reaction, it does turn all on it's head! Great response, thank you!
Three register voice of Tim is superb.
This is one of the songs that shows that the typical vocal coverage can and is obscured. Some of the guys can do other ranges vocally. They all have incredible ranges. Good job and keep going.
lol! Always cannot wait for a reactor to watch and hear the first notes from Tim! The eyebrows go up, the eyes start looking back and forth, or the mouth drops open. Almost everyone stops the video to say what? How! lol. Love it. Then Chance does the bass drop and again, everyone stops the video, shakes their head and go huh?! This is one of my all-time favorites from them and always will be. Just incredibly done!! Each one shines. Adam Rupp kills the beats in this one to make it great! Take care.
So good as ALWAYS with Home Free. Great reaction
I love your reaction hearing Tim at first. 😅 He had a 5 plus octave range. I listen to this song a hundred times a day. Yep that was Chance. This group is absolutely amazing.
Your astonished face says it all
Anything Home Free. 👏
One of their older songs kind of fills in the blanks on the different sounds they all can make, They all do a bit of beat boxing, I suggest you react to Can't Stop The Feeling and also a newer song called One Man Band, the harmonies are fantastic, beautiful song. Really enjoyed your reactions, you're turning into a Home Fry and we welcome all who enjoy and follow their music! Welcome to the Home Fry rabbit hole, enjoy the ride!!!
[Adam] CHANCE sang bass with his previous group STREET CORNER SYMPHONY and were runner-up [2nd place] in The Sing-Off Season 2. Check out videos fr the Sing-Off. Home Free won Season 4, and Pentatonix won Season 3. Season 4 gave fans some of the best A Capella bands, just my opinion. Thanks for reacting.
Love your reaction! Cam has a beautiful voice; AND Home Free takes it to another level.
Chance was the bass in the last group he was with.
Chance is a bass. Since Home Free has Tim Foust to sing bass Chance usually sings baritone. But on "Helplessly Hoping" Chance opens singing tenor and is joined by Rob Lundquist in perfect unison!! Both Tim and Chance have amazing vocal range!
Christmas is on its way, you got a big treat coming to you if you do their christmas stuff. Beautiful star of bethlehem feturing the oak ridge boys with home free.
Chance was such a great addition to Home Free when Chris left, he was actually the bass in his last group. It opens up so many options for Tim to really work his upper register. Pentatonix has a similar dark horse in Scott, he doesn't show it off much but he covers Bass when Avi or Matt are singing lead.
The rich double bass in Home Free's How Great Thou Art gives me goosebumps EVERY time.
Snow globe is another beautiful example of Tim's high voice.
Chance was the bass in his previous vocal group.
This is why Home Fries ask reactors new to Home Free to postpone Mayday until after few of their videos. Unfortunately, I've seen more reactors reacting to this before getting to know HF. They watch this without realizing that Tim is Not singing bass and Chance singing bass is Unusual... I am sooo glad you caught it... Thanks.
Loved your expressions. They do that to me, too.
I haven't read all the comments that have already been left here (too many!) but this is why Home Fries will often say that Home Free essentially has 4 tenors (Austin, Rib, Tim, and Adam) and 3 basses (Tim, Chance, and Adam), but only 5 members.
Tim has put out an album of doo-wop songs where he sings all the tracks on each song. There is a video of him singing "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay" that exemplifies his amazing range.
I'd like to suggest a very country music video by Home Free called ALABAMA SAMPLER, their medley of several song by the country band Alabama. I think you'd really enjoy it. It's one of my (many) favorites by Home Free.
This shows how versatile they are.
All Chance....thanks for the great work!
Brothers in Arms
Home free sings with so much passion. Tim has a 5 octave range.
I love your look of confusion.. classic!!!
Check out Chris Rupp's channel. He and Tim did a fantastic cover of "Long Black Train". Also The Hound and The Fox with Chance covering the song "Hurt". Thanks.
Great reaction! Chance did sing that low note, but because he doesn't quite have the power/volume at that low range, it was boosted (or doubled up) in production. Still... darned impressive! Like others have noted, Home Free's five singers (including Adam Rupp because he has also has an impressive vocal range when he sings) have all the bases amply covered. Adding even one more singer to the group would be superfluous. In my opinion, these five are perfection!
Sincere reaction.
