He’s a classically trained high tenor in musical theater!!!
Johnny Cash original, he's a country music icon, passed away back in 2003. Beautiful song! Home Free jazzed it up a little bit, but it made me love it even more.
Great reaction! You look like you are really enjoying your Home Free journey! Thank you for taking us Home Fries with you! They are so talented! And down to earth. Beautiful souls! Thanks again!
If you want to see how amazing the beatboxer (Adam Rupp) can be take a look at his drum solo that you can find easily on youtube. He's nicknamed "freak of nature"for his talent of doing just every sound using his mouth. His skills will let you speechless.Greetings from Italy.
Home Free is: Earlier Years Chris Rupp (usually wearing a Cowboy Hat & always smiling) and Adam Rupp, the Beatboxer founded the Group. Chris went Solo in 2016 with which he is doing Very Well! Adam Chance who goes by Chance was brought in to replace Chris! Chance is the Baritone that has a 4 Octave Range. He can replace Tim, the Group's Bassist when needed as Chance was the Bassist in his previous Group before Home Free. Back to Adam Rupp, he's the incredibly talented Beatboxer and can sing well too! His Beatboxing is above and beyond any other Beatboxer that I have seen! He's also won several Beatboxing Championships to boot!😁😁 Now to Tim, the Group's Bassist has a 5 Octave Range so he can Lead the Group as a Bassist or a Tenor or something in between! He's Phenomenal and he's also taught some other Bassists from other Acapella Group's to be able to do certain things that allow them to get Lower and hit Notes they weren't able to before now. The Bearded Singer is the Group's Tenor and he is Awesome! Such a Creamy Tone and at times his Range is incredible too! To end the Group's Members is Austin the Group's High Tenor. This man is unbelievable! He can hit the highest of the highest of notes and he still can do Low Notes almost Baritone standards! Now hopefully you can get caught up with the Group's Members!
You are so right about Folsom Prison facts. Yes, Adam does the shotgun click and he's amazing. Love Home Free and am enjoying your videos. I will say Helplessly Hoping is one you don't want to miss.
This is a cover of Johnny Cash's 1950's song. The sounds are all vocally done. The beatboxer, Adam Rupp, (he swallowed an entire orchastra when he was a baby) is incredible but the other guys do some sound effects too, like Adam Chance, who they just call "Chance" since there are 2 Adams (did the "jaw harp" sound in "Man of Constant Sorrow"). You need to watch the youtube video of Adam Rupp's drum solo! You'll be amazed! Just found & subscribed to your channel & glad I did so I can go on the Home Free journey with you! They're THE best!
“Can’t stop the feeling” is a good toe tapper, they make their own rhythm section with their voices. They can sing any genre, listen to their version of Boys 2 men “ End of the Road”. And Keith Urban’s “ Blue ain’t your color”. “ Helplessly hoping “ is a great one that really shows their vocal ability, some call it ear candy😊. The best acapella groups out there today are Homefree, Pentatonix and Voiceplay. Pentatonix won the sing off in season 3 and. Homefree won the sing off in season 4. Voiceplay also competed in season 4 but they got eliminated. Homefree are my favorite because they are the most versatile
Adam is the best! Though all of them are, really 😊 My recommendations are Hillbilly bone, Woman, amen /Female, Blue ain't your color, Flowers on the wall. Or just anything!
You are the first person, that I've seen react, to react to this song and mention the smile Tim has at 7:55. And yes, it does look like he's thinking that nobody gets that low. There is a video on youtube of him blowing out a speaker at a concert.
Johnny Cash actually sang this song in Folsom Prison, there is a recording of it here on UA-cam. It's one of many visits to several prisons Johnny made to sing for the prisoners. Thank you for great reaction. I think Johnny would have loved Home Free's cover.
that was Tim's sinister bassist look..... the equally low bass Geoff Castilucci from Voiceplay credits Tim with teaching him some bass vocal techniqes .....he does some solos where he sings all the patrs ...like Tim he has a 4-5 octave range
Oh, thought I’d drop a note. Tomorrow, Home Free is releasing a new video: “CRAZY” a cover of an old Patsy Kline/Willie Nelson song. It’ll be in the afternoon here in Central Time. Check their channel. I’ve seen in (had a pre peek) It’s AWESOME !!! Austin does the lead ‼️
It was his voice. He had an old shotgun and practice until he made that sound. Even Tim was like: "don't tell people that it's old, that's how you get caught" and Adam replied "don't worry, it still shoots".
@@isaiahbangura4421 Ah, my bad, I had thought I heard in an interview that he doesn't normally use props for sounds except he couldn't get this one quite right so just recorded the shotgun being racked. I might have misunderstood.

Since I began listening to them this damn thoughtkeeps.rolling through mind: These are the kinda guys you just naturally say hello how's it going and acting 2an a know hows it going friends.
Yeah, this is a really good one. One of my favorites. It’s a Johnny Cash song. We figure Tim (bass) did the crime, Adam (beatboxer) belongs in the insane asylum and the other boys were accomplices. Hahaha. Don’t pay attention to the height charts, they’re all wrong although the boys are all tall, over 6’. Yes, it’s true they decide who should lead based on who they like the best doing the song. We also love the fact that they don’t mind making fun of themselves. They can be goofy and yet good. What is amazing is how good their harmonies are. Hopelessly Hoping, I Can’t Outrun You, What We Ain’t Got, Seven Bridges Road. Great reaction and I subscribed.
This is one of their quarantine videos. They were constantly putting out new videos throughout the pandemic & quarantine. Each band member recorded his audio & video in his home, then their amazing audio & video producers would put it all together. The only one you won't hear sing lead is Adam Rupp. Adam has a great tenor voice, but he prefers to do the beatboxing. You do hear him sing a little every now & then if they do a song that doesn't have beatboxing. They have an amazing version of "How Great Thou Art" where Adam sings a brief solo part. They're all incredibly talented & they seem to just keep getting better.
There is a group that is from where I grew up The Staler Brothers they have an original song called Flowers on the wall. It’s written by the bass singer Harold read after they played at the mental institution and he had this conversation with one of the patients. It was also in pulp fiction
Opened in 1880, Folsom is the state's second-oldest prison, after San Quentin, and the first in the United States to have electricity. Folsom was also one of the first maximum security prisons.
Thanks for the reaction...it just don't get any better thenthese 5 guys...they were meant to sing together! Folsom California State Prison is a California State Prison in Folsom, California, U.S., approximately 20 miles (32 km) northeast of the state capital of Sacramento. It is one of 34 adult institutions operated by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.[2] Opened in 1880, Folsom is the state's second-oldest prison, after San Quentin, and the first in the United States to have electricity.[3] Folsom was also one of the first maximum security prisons. It has been the execution site of 93 condemned prisoners.[4] Musician Johnny Cash put on two live performances at the prison on January 13, 1968. These were recorded and released as a live album titled At Folsom Prison.[5][6][7] He had written and recorded the song "Folsom Prison Blues" more than a decade earlier.

Yes! Adam Rupp (the beatboxer extraordinaire) is outstanding, magnificent, and otherworldly! lol These guys are the first official Country A Capella group in America. When they were on the Sing Off TV show in 2013, the show pretty much claimed that for them. They are actually all are genuine, and humble, as others have said. It's true. I know you said you have quite a long list of suggestions from other Home Fries. The one I would suggest is probably on that list, but if it moves it higher, I'd love to suggest the Crosby, Still & Nash cover of "Helplessly Hoping" if you really want to hear perfection! Check out Never Gonna Give You Up if you need a good laugh. Austin’s dance moves are hilarious. Also check out Helpless Hoping and Where Art Thou if you want to hear Adam(the Beatboxer) sing.
I see where others have suggested humorous songs and all time favorites, as well as some originals. Some of the more serious ones are Helplessly Hoping, How Great thou Art, Amazing Grace, One Voice, and more. Their catalog has over 150 songs and not all country, but all great in their own right. Welcome to this rabbit hole. We love it down here.
THANK YOU!!! You're the first reactor I've seen that actually caught the sound of the gun cocking!!! I knew I subscribed to you for a good reason other than I love your accent
Welcome to the world of the Home Fries! This is an old Johnny Cash song. Home Free do have a few originals though, you'll love them. The beat boxer, Adam Rupp, one of the original founders of Home Free is beyond awesome - check him out on UA-cam, there is a video of his live performances :) The Bass singer, Tim Faust, another legendary member can go down to A0 (lowest note on a full 88-key piano) and there's a fun video on UA-cam where he blows out the sound system at a gig - Tim has a vocal range of more than 5 octaves, which is unheard of (Others are Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Freddie Mercury, Luciano Pavarotti - Quite an exclusive group) I think you got some really good base feedback about these guys; one of the reasons I love them is that they are so down to Earth, they are both really talented, and fun, and really nice guys. They deeply respect their idols, and even perform with them from time to time (Alabama, Oak Ridge Boys, Don McLean, Charlie Daniels, and fun fact, after Diana Ross heard their performance of Love Train, she asked them to perform at her 75th birthday)
Uh-oh....looks like SOMEBODY might be on their way to becoming a Home Fry, lol!! Who can blame you? They really are the most incredibly talented vocal group...a capella or otherwise...I've ever heard. Not to mention that they are humble, grateful for and so appreciative of their success and their fans. They also have a really great sense of humor that you'll see in some of their videos and especially their live performances. I dont believe I've ever seen another group like this one. I'm so excited to see more Home Free reactions from you. Subbing now...😁
I think Amazing Grace was done with Peter Hollens, but recorded in the U.S. Their cover of How Great Thou Art, however, was recorded in the Austrian Alps. Both are powerful and well worth your time.
And...another one falls down the rabbit hole. You are so fucking doomed. We'll save you a chair. For more of Tim's seismic bass, listen to Misty Mountains, his collaboration with Peter Hollens. For Adam's incredible beat boxing, check out Sea Shanty medley and his drum solos. For Chance's smooth baritone, check out Down to the Honky Tonk. For Rob's smooth soul, check out End of the Road. For Austin's soaring tenor, check out When a Man Loves a Woman. For their humor, check out Butts Remix and Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget. For their amazing arrangement skills, check out Do You Hear What I Hear. For their tight harmonies, check out Helplessly Hoping. For more of their wonderful collaborations, check out God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood, American Pie with Don McLean, or Elvira with The Oak Ridge Boys. Get about five videos under your belt and then listen to Mayday. Folsom Prison Blues is a classic, written by Johnny Cash. He sung it at the prison in a concert for the inmates. They need their own adjective: homfredian. Wicked talent polished by decades of hard work. You are doomed, Home Fry. Bring ketchup.

Adam is the veat boxer. And he has a beat box drum battle video on the Home Free YT channel. It's pretty amazing what he can do with his voice. I 've never heard of anyone who can touch him.

Just loved your reaction! You can pick any song from them... you can't go wrong!
Great reaction. It is going to be so much fun watching you learn about them, they are full of surprises. If you want to check out their humour try "All about that bass" or "Butts medley".
Must check out Home Free "Blue Ain't Your Color" a Keith Urban cover. Absolutely smashing!!
Thank you Marcia! I look forward to checking it out 👍🏻
@@taylorfamilyreactions Home Free's cover of May Day will rock your world. Watched it 5 times!
Oops I will let Alice know another one is going down the rabbit hole LOL loved that video you can't go wrong with any of the songs that are recommended that song was a Johnny Cash cover the man in Black he performed that song there in Folsom prison also and recorded it live another one from Johnny Cash is one of his covers Ring of fire that features Avi Kaplan formally from the group Pentatonix which is also a great acapella group
Thank Joe for the recommendation, I have heard of Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash and I can’t wait to hear the Homefree take on it! I’m sure its amazing!
After Ring of fire you should check out their cover of voice to Men song end of the road it will blow your socks off then go back to a country song done by cam their cover called May Day have a great fun keep up the good work can't wait to hear and see other country reactions besides home Free and other ones you have done
@@joecantu8131 I think he should probably get to know Home Free and the individual singers by name, and the part they play within this group before tackling Mayday. If he reacts too soon the surprises in the song will be lost on him, and he will think it's just another song. What do you think?
@@Tribblepuppy so true thanks for the additional comments I completely agree with you
@@joecantu8131 Don't do "Mayday" until you know everyone's names, skills and their placement within the Group! EXTREMELY IMPORTANT NOT TO DO "MAYDAY" YET! You will regret it, if you do it too early!
Us Home Fries stick together ❤
Adam is phenomenal!!! He does almost all the music and background sounds. He won back to back world beat boxing championships and deserved them.
Truly wonderful gentlemen! Home Free is the absolute best! Can hardly wait for the next one! I'm going to enjoy Watching you on your journey down the Home Free rabbit hole! It's very deep! However, it is so beautiful and literally life changing that you will never want to get out! I still would like you to react to
"ADAM RUPP LIVE SOLO" Apprx 2015-2018 Beatboxer and Vocal Percussionist
Thank you! It is a pleasure seeing you watch our favorite guys!I think you should consider yourself a Home Fry now! Welcome to the Home Free family! God bless you!😃♥️🍟
This is a cover of when Jihnny Cash went into Folsom Prison and sang it to the men there and rocked the place and the rest of the world !
Check out Adams drum solo.hes the best beatboxer ever💖
Haha I love the evil grin Tim gets when he hits that low note!! Makes me laugh every time I see it.
We home fry's love some home free💜💚💛💙🧡
One of Home Free's greatest is "How Great Thou Art" and you won't believe the scenery in this song!
Adam Rupp… Yes, made the rifle crack sound !!!! He Is AWESOME !!! On their “Sea Shanties”video, he sounds like castanets !!!! The man is Unbelievable 🙃❤️‼️
Oh, for a note, You are the first reactionary who caught the Rifle Crack right off the bat !!! Good on You !!! Oh, yeah, Tim goes LOW…LOLOL..One of the lowest basses out there !!! I loved his little smirk…LOLOL 🙃❤️‼️
“WHEN A MAN LOVES A WOMAN”…..you will love it…..Austin shines as lead on this one.!!! He’s a classically trained high tenor in musical theater!!!
Johnny Cash original, he's a country music icon, passed away back in 2003. Beautiful song! Home Free jazzed it up a little bit, but it made me love it even more.
Adam Rupp the beatboxer was voted two times world champion in his youth and he has only got better. Welcome to the home fries.
Home Free is:
Earlier Years Chris Rupp (usually wearing a Cowboy Hat & always smiling) and Adam Rupp, the Beatboxer founded the Group.
He's also won several Beatboxing Championships to boot!😁😁
Now to Tim, the Group's Bassist has a 5 Octave Range so he can Lead the Group as a Bassist or a Tenor or something in between!
I love them all but my favorites are Dive Bar Saints, Blue Ain’t your Color, End of the Road, Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget, and Country fried Pop
Adam is truly a fabulous beat boxer. Try their Sea Shanty Medley - watch him "play" the castanets!!
Yes Adam Rupp did the racking sound of the shotgun. He's amazing.
I'm a Home Fry. You will be too! Thank you for reacting to them ❤
“Can’t stop the feeling” is a good toe tapper, they make their own rhythm section with their voices.
Love your reaction. Give HELPLESSLY HOPING home frees cover of Crosby Stills and Nash. No beat boxer just them singing it's mind blowing
Thank you Catherine! 🙏
For more incredible beatboxing and bass, Sea shanty medley
Johnny Cash actually sang this song in Folsom Prison, there is a recording of it here on UA-cam. It's one of many visits to several prisons Johnny made to sing for the prisoners. Thank you for great reaction. I think Johnny would have loved Home Free's cover.
I love the bluesy way they did this song! Johnny Cash used to give free concerts at the jail for the inmates!
that was Tim's sinister bassist look..... the equally low bass Geoff Castilucci from Voiceplay credits Tim with teaching him some bass vocal techniqes .....he does some solos where he sings all the patrs ...like Tim he has a 4-5 octave range
For fun watch “quarantine”. They made it during lockdown from their own homes and someone at the studio put it together.
The racking of the shot gun, was actually his old shot gun. He couldn’t figure out the best way to make the sound…so grabbed it and racked it.
@@wirelessmikedj7784 He talked about in on their Patreon.
Great reaction. Next Moonshine. Stay safe.
It's all them
How many caught the little joke of the heighth boards behind them.
T his.seems to be a group who are having fun, enjoying each others company and life itself.
Since I began listening to them this damn thoughtkeeps.rolling through mind: These are the kinda guys you just naturally say hello how's it going and acting 2an a know hows it going friends.
Have you reacted to Home Free " How Great Thou Art"
The guy that made FOLSOM PRISON BLUES famous was JOHNNY CASH
Was done during the lock-down (covid 19) each one taped the hole song home and sent it inn and made the video they are great
Yeah, this is a really good one.
There’s a video of Adam Rupp (bearboxer), doing a solo during a concert. Incredible!!
There is a group that is from where I grew up The Staler Brothers they have an original song called Flowers on the wall. It’s written by the bass singer Harold read after they played at the mental institution and he had this conversation with one of the patients. It was also in pulp fiction
Tim's low note was "E1"...the first E from the bottom end of a piano keyboard.
You have to hear them sing ain’t going down till the sun goes down
Proud to be a Home Fry!!! Please react to more HF!!
That’s the plan Sandy!! 😀
For as low as Tim goes on these videos...he takes it to the extreme and goes even lower when he sings it live! I've been there...his low notes shake your seat and rattles in your chest! Check out Ring Of Fire live!
YES! the live version. You can actually check out the one with Avi Kaplan, the one from the sing off, and one of the live versions. Each one is done a little differently all are great.
Folsom California State Prison is a California State Prison in Folsom, California, U.S., approximately 20 miles (32 km) northeast of the state capital of Sacramento. It is one of 34 adult institutions operated by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.[2]
Opened in 1880, Folsom is the state's second-oldest prison, after San Quentin, and the first in the United States to have electricity.[3] Folsom was also one of the first maximum security prisons. It has been the execution site of 93 condemned prisoners.[4]
Musician Johnny Cash put on two live performances at the prison on January 13, 1968. These were recorded and released as a live album titled At Folsom Prison.[5][6][7] He had written and recorded the song "Folsom Prison Blues" more than a decade earlier.

Liked, watched til the end and subscribed. Going to follow you on this emotional journey. Original song is Johnny Cash. They did anotherJohnny Cash song, Ring of Fire, written by his wife June Carter Cash with special guest Avi Kaplan. A must see!
I have really enjoyed both reactions so far and am excited for more!
Oh you found a rabbit hole...enjoy the ride. Love love your reactions.
Great reaction!
You definitely have taken a fall down the rabbit hole with us.. enjoy! Not sure there is a bad Home Free song... just close your eyes and pick .. you cant go wrong.. Christmas is coming.. listen to Do You Hear What I Hear.. O Holy NIght.. Snowglobe (Tim the super bass wrote this one and sings the insanely high lead) Warmest Wishes (Austin wrote that one.. makes me cry every time) Thanks! Philly Fry here..
Great reaction. You are the first reactor to acknowledge Adam Rupp making the sound of a rifle cocking. These guys can be very humorous too. Check out Never Gonna Give You Up if you need a good laugh. Austin’s dance moves are hilarious. Also check out Helpless Hoping and Where Art Thou if you want to hear Adam(the Beatboxer) sing.
If you want to see how humble they are, watch them sing a duet with the classic Alabama singing" Elvira".
Amazing cover❤🎉Love it❤
Welcome to the world of the Home Fries! This is an old Johnny Cash song. Home Free do have a few originals though, you'll love them.
The beat boxer, Adam Rupp, one of the original founders of Home Free is beyond awesome - check him out on UA-cam, there is a video of his live performances :)
The Bass singer, Tim Faust, another legendary member can go down to A0 (lowest note on a full 88-key piano) and there's a fun video on UA-cam where he blows out the sound system at a gig - Tim has a vocal range of more than 5 octaves, which is unheard of (Others are Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Freddie Mercury, Luciano Pavarotti - Quite an exclusive group)
I think you got some really good base feedback about these guys; one of the reasons I love them is that they are so down to Earth, they are both really talented, and fun, and really nice guys.
Subbing now...😁
Thank you Kristi!!! It means a great deal!! I think I’m on the way the becoming a Home Fry!! So many more songs to check out but can’t wait! 😀
You should check out Home Free's version of Amazing Grace. It is awesome and the scenery is great. The video was mad in Austria.
I think Amazing Grace was done with Peter Hollens, but recorded in the U.S. Their cover of How Great Thou Art, however, was recorded in the Austrian Alps. Both are powerful and well worth your time.
Adam Rupp said that he used a rifle to make that sound! I saw it on an interview.
I’m very happy to have fallen down this rabbit hole!! 😂
Thank you for reacting to this song. You will notice that Tim did the low growl with a smile, like yep I did it. He cut his hair during the pandemic, so you will see the long hair he had in Man of Constant Sorrow, and most of the other music they have done. I know you have a lot of song requests, so I will wait a bit before I put out another to the list. Looking forward to more reactions. Thanks
Thank you 🙏
Yes he did
Also check out their originals. No matter what you pick the guys knock it out of the park.
I just love your reactions! I try to watch every one! You are on point with your comments! Please do Adam Lambert with Queen Bohemian Raphsody from Japan with the Freddie duet, it will blow your mind! Love you
The note Tim hit was an A0, and can go deeper...his newest album he hits a new high full tenor.
Home free is def a good rabbit hole to dive into. My only suggestion is maybe look up the original either first or after, so like a back to back video series comparing as they have alot of covers. I don't believe I have seen any reactors taking that angle, only goong back to revisit it later on.
Thank you for the suggestion! 👍🏻 It’s a very good idea!
Adam is the veat boxer. And he has a beat box drum battle video on the Home Free YT channel. It's pretty amazing what he can do with his voice. I 've never heard of anyone who can touch him.
I personally I love when reactors catch little things in the videos. And you did great. The gunshot and Tim's smile at his low note don't get mentioned much. And word to the wise: you play ANY of Home Free's 140+ songs on UA-cam, and the Home Fries will flock to your channel. I will enjoy your Home Free journey with you.
Good catch on the gun sound. Very few reactors mention it. I really enjoy your reactions and look forward to seeing more songs added to their playlist on your channel.
