I enjoyed this video. I didn't know you were a vegan/vegetarian. Me too. We eat a little dairy but no meat. We were completely vegan for years and then.... Well, we missed real cheese and butter. I haven't tried to make butter but it doesn't look all that hard. You've inspired me...
I cant wait til you get your very own dairy cow some day ❤ i dont know if that's in your master plan but i imagine it is. Dairy cows are THE best 🥰 i use my ninja blender to make tons of butter and it works great. I bought the 2 gal electric butter churn and it did not work well for me. The agitator is so slender vs amount of volume in there, it doesnt work too well. The company says you can only fill it half max, but i couldnt even do that with my jersey cream - they had me adding water back into my separated cream to thin it out. It was a really big disappointment for me. I bought a second ninja blender and just get both going and it works wonderfully - cream straight out of the fridge into the blender turns into butter within 2-3 min. 😊
I want a dairy cow very badly! ha I'm not sure if it's in God's plan, but I'm ready for whatever He gives me. I'm sorry to hear the electric churn didn't work out as well as you had hoped. I am considering getting the 1 gallon pro. But I'm taking your experience to heart before I make that decision. Thank you for sharing!
I use an old hand crank butter churn, but before I got that, I would just shake a well sealed jar. Have the kids help! Takes about 10 minutes either way. I have also used my kitchen aid, but felt like it splashed too much and made a mess if I didn't cover it with something. Also, I use a ladle to skim the cream so that I don't get much milk mixed in. I think that may have been your biggest issue, but I've never used a food processor...so I don't know if that was an issue too. I LOVE cultured butter and only make it that way now. It is so much sweeter to me than non cultured.
I’ve only made butter in my Kitchen Aid. It’s cool because the butter gets trapped inside the whisk attachment and you know when it’s done very easily! If you try it in your Kitchen Aid, I hope you make another video so others can see the difference too.

That was very helpful. I love that you show when things don’t go as planned. Helps us as we all learn. Val C ❤️🙏🏻
My Apothecary order came today and the soaps are beautiful and smell fantastic 💥
Oh I'm so happy to hear that it arrived safely. Please share your thoughts after you've had a chance to use the products. Thank you so much!
Your daughter is adorable. The butter looks yummy.

You may be right.....I am going to experiment more with different methods and share the results. Thank you!

Thank you, I think I am going go to make a video with the different methods and share the results. The mixer is one I'm willing to try again.
I've always wondered . . . how do you know if buttermilk is spoiled? Or doesn't it spoil?
The smell changes to something unpleasant
Yep, Trisha is right. The smell will drastically change.
