Yum yum yum, I love mead! Thanks for sharing your process, Amanda. There's a channel on YT I love that does all kinds of brews for mead, mels, kilju, and homemade wines, etc. I find the whole process super fascinating, and once I am in my own place I will definitely be making some of my own mead. Will be excited to watch the journey of this mead, the flavor sounds fabulous for fall fair time. 💚

I'm so happy that you are doing this. I don't think I've seen this process before anywhere and have always wanted to try wine. Trying Honey wine is icing on the cake. My BFF has her own bees and gifts me a couple bottles every year so I will have good honey and my brothers grapes to use. Have you ever made Meade with grapes? grape juice? I'm so excited.

Best tips to avoid sediments are to rack / syphon of at least twice with a month or more between before bottling. I’ve only been doing wines for a year and a half, so no expert. But that is a hard learned lesson.

Random question,,,,, how do you get that fruit out of the bottle once this process is complete?

I'll need to siphon out the liquid and eventually the chunks will be soft enough to just pour out.
