The eagle is lucky it was just a squirrel and not a Northern Mockingbird checking it out .We have both on our land on the river in Alabama .The mockingbirds do not play and will go after anything in their territory including ,eagles ,hawks ,owls and humans included .They are definite proof dinosaurs evolved into birds . Beautiful singing dinosaurs is what they are .It is good thing they aren't the size of an eagle we would all be in trouble but even they have met their match with our tiny but dangerous hummingbirds who go after both the eagle and mockingbird equally .

Eagle must have already had lunch.
Eagles add to their nests each year and they become huge. The Hays Eagles near Pittsburgh actually have a family of fox squirrels living in the bottom of their nest. Like a condo! The squirrels raise two sets of kits each year. The eagles go after them but the squirrels just duck in between the sticks.

I really like watching Springfield. It's calm, passenger trains, looks cool at night, and the odd freight is a treat. It's got an automated camera, and I wish I could jump in every so often and move the camera myself.

Congrats VR. I am from Ashland VA. I have seen a lot of things, but the car running into the building is a 1st for me. It looks like they hit the gas instead of the brake.

@ 26:49 light blue box car. Golden West Service, Southern Pacific box car rebuild. This one ran under SSW. Sold to other RR on a buy back program to SP. Of course SSW is Cotton Belt. So part of SP is still out there.

Nice video! The train at 17:03 had BNSF 4714 leading a UP train that originated in Des Moines. I caught that unit on MSSDM 10 a day before it came to Santa Fe Junction.
