Pleasant, factual, constructive, realistic review. I like the serious approach and the ability to see shots with and without filters side by side. Cultured speech. Thanks. Greetings from Prague

Thankyou so much Shaun. I think we both struggled with keeping the Neo going in the same path for the comparisons! 🤣😂🤣 All the best 🖖

It seems that NEO's post processing tries to fix the motion blur a bit, apart from that the video actually looks better with ND.
And you're always concerned with delivering the best content in the way people want, even if it means doing two edits. 👏👏👏
    Thanks, mate! 🖖

Thx. Don't know why, but I liked ND8, ND32, ND32 PL most, which doesn't make any sense - maybe light conditions when shooting at different times and/or those filters were not 100% color neutral (but in a good way)
Pol filter shots surprisingly this time look better than without. Could be caused by rotation angle.
On the other hand there is a noticeable additional reflection cause by the filter glasses (e.g. crawling from left to right, centered at 2:50 and 3:22).
I guess to improve Neo footage quality (at least with current cam firmware) it's recommended in general to slightly underexpose EV -1/3 or -2/3 and if the shooting direction is right, maybe add the pol filter

      @amoktimeflies  2 дні тому +1

Yep I agree - I really liked ND32PL, but probably followed by the ND16 - each to their own I suppose. And yeh the lighting was changing a fair bit due to the clouds. Lots to experiment with on rotation angle.
And get you eagle eyes! I thought I was the only one to notices the lens reflection and that was in the full frame version!
Thankyou for watching and your really interesting comments 👍🖖

Im always waiting on you to post something :). Perhaps a video about the Mini 4 Pro best settings for night mode and also normal mode, Ive heard from other youtubers that the whole 180 degree rule is not to be followed so strictly because it distracts from the actual flying and creative process, any ideas on what settings to use in auto and which on manual? For example Ive been doing 100 ISO manual, and left the shutter on auto during the day for the auto exposure with an ND 64 filter if its sunny, for the night, im still struggling to find the best setting for it not to look blown out and too noisy, been trying ISO of 800 - 1600 at most.... Ideas? Greetings from Dominican Republic Amok.

Hey DR! How are you doing?! I don't tend to mess around with ISO too much because I like to get my shutter speed right so that's the only bit that I leave up to the drone. It's actually become kindof second nature to me and as I said in the vid - it all depends on what kind of look you're trying to get.
I'm looking to do a couple more night flights in the next few weeks with The Mini 4 Pro. With Night mode I tend to let the drone do the talking - DJI have tuned that to get the best image so I kindof trust it (and just wait for the barrage of comments about that! 😂). So for me - daytime I tend to fly on pro using an ND and the 180 rule (ish) just with Auto ISO. Dusk - depending on what I'm doing, I may use a weak ND. and Nightime generally all auto baby! Let the drone do the work (unless I'm doing long exposures then a weak ND might come into play...)
And with your daytime stuff - move to a country with sh***y weather like the UK 🤣 Seriously though - I would leave the ISO doing what it does and possibly just go Auto on the shutter speed as well. Don't foget that you can still adjust the EV in Auto as well. Or get an ND128.....
      All the best! 🖖

Thankyou! The edit monkey seems grumpy, but that's when he does his best work - the amount of times I've caught him swearing at me on his screen is astounding though!🤣🖖

nd filters seem to bring the sky out better unless i'm flying and you don't see the sky..or the ground maybe my face? or my dogs splashing about then give up at 25% in...

Yeh - defo seem to bring more detail to the clouds, especially the polarised ones. I quite liked the dark look they gave to the clouds with the ND32PL even if it was slightly underexposed. Great for my cloudy hyperlpases.... which the er... Neo doesn't do ... (kinda realised I was going a bit off topic on that answer 🤣🤣). Thanks for watching Johnny - got your last couple of vids in my queue... 🖖
