@@amoktimeflies keep having fun with your channel. I got lots of snide comments over the years and with live radio, there were plenty of fist chewing moments of embarrassed regret. But I learnt to adopt a shell of "I don't care what you think - I'm having a blast!" I like your videos... I can't be the only one, so crack on. As for technical tips... don't ask me, I was just a gob on a stick (now retired). It all sounds OK to me.

I have been trying a lot of right before sunrise shots and right before sunset shots. I hear you about being ready with all your batteries and trying to get your timing right. Love your new camera 📷. @@BPDrones Thank you so much - glad you found it helpful. I use Davinci Resolve (linked in description and pinned comment) but most mainstream video editing apps should have similar functions. One tip I’ve learnt since making this video - if you have ‘opacity’ settings (see my vid on capturing a sunset) change the top video track to 50% opacity and you can use that to line the shots up as well! @kylebuse5323 nope - no LP filter - I’m not sure if they’re worth it or not really - especially when shooting the stuff that is the cause of light pollution. Personally think they are more for astrophotography, but willing to try one out if Freewell decided to send me one (although judging on the performance of my last Freewell collab vid I think this is unlikely! 😂) 🖖

Thanks Chaz! yep - I agree - that's an awesome tip an many others have mentioned it, so it's already in the pinned comment. Don't worry - I rarely check pinned comments myself! 🤣. I also used that method in my subsequent (slightly sketchy 😂) video on capturing a sunset and credited the people that gave me that tip. Hi Clive - Don't worry - I know exactly what you you're talking about and it confused me when I first did hyperlapses too! The 'HYPERLAPSE' folder actually (and confusingly!) just contains each individual photo the drone takes for each hyperlapse. You just need to check your DCIM folder and you should find the finished hyperlpases in there - you will probably have .lrf files, (Low Resolution Files) created for reviewing on the Remote - the files you want to download and then bring in to Davinci are the .mp4 files (you can delete the .lrf files). Note - you *can* use these for building the hyperlapse manually in DR, but that's slightly advanced stuff that I haven't got a handle on yet, and need to spend some time on before I make a vid about it. That should have you sorted (and you've also anticipated a tip I'm going to be including in a vid that's in production at the moment! 😂). If you do have any other issues though or the above isn't clear feel free email me through the channel and I'll be happy to provide further help with screenshots etc... 🖖

@@nardesh127 did you try switching it to sport mode - if it won’t descend when I’m hand catching I normally do that. I had a weird thing last night as well - went to rerun a waypoint hyperlapse from a previous night and it started off going up then started descending rapidly past the trees so it went out of sight - stopped it at 27m height and brought it home, but boy was my heart racing! Seems our little buddys still want to surprise us occasionally! 🖖

Hey Larry! Thankyou so much - Yes it's the kind of self deprecating humour us Brits have drilled into us from birth, so it comes quite naturally! And secondly - It's almost impossible here in the UK and EU to get the Plus batteries, so nope - those were the standard batteries with roughly about 20 (terribly tortured) charge cycles each. It's basically 3 hyperlapses taken one after the other - the trick is to get the battery changed double quick and then get the drone back up in the air to exactly the same position and start the same hyperlapse again. Thanks for watching!🖖

Thanks for pointing that out! Yeh - I am planning on going into a deeper dive on the hyperlapse functions in the future - this was more of a quick summary. @@amoktimeflies depends on the speed and your location. But this way you can get sideways motion in pretty good. Worst case: you have to walk a few steps while the drone is flying :D

@frankinblackpool That’s where my friend in Brasil came in - they produced the HDR photo from the bracketed images for me. I have a horrible feeling that I may have to get into that though as I have a camera upgrade on my radar (all depends on what DJI decide to do with new releases of drones this year tho 💴 💵 💰) 👍🖖

Good question - I’m *almost* sure you can, but I think you need to set it to DLOG-M first, even if your normal video settings are on it, but you have me intrigued - I’ll have a check when I get back from work in a few hours and let you know 👍🖖

@@amoktimefliesThank you. We just came back from the dolomites and all the normal video is DLogM but the Mastershots and Quickshots are hyper saturated and awful, which is frustrating - didn't realise the video settings don't apply across the board!

@DigiDriftZone yeh - I’ve been caught out with that before - once they are set in that particular mode it normally ‘sticks’ for every time you use it BUT sometimes a firmware update resets everything (which is annoying!) 🖖

@@amoktimeflies No, no, I mean all regular video footage is fine, it did not get reset after firmware update. But Quickshots/Mastershots are not DlogM, maybe those need to be set separately, is that even possible? I just tried to do this in the settings, but it won't let me see/change any settings for mastershot or quickshot until the aircraft is in flight, frustrating!
