ShartimusPrime Biography:
Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

The kid miles morales from Into the Spiderverse movie is from Stiltman BAF wave, not SP/DR wave you mentioned.
One of the only two figures I wanted this wave, hope Hasbro does an accurate Spider-Man with the white symbol when the second game comes out!!

Damn that figure is so good! The articulation is very good and there are many accesories. Honestly I think this is one of the best Spider-Man figures. I'll give it a sudrating of, Ghaaha so awasome!

a lot of people don't realize how big miles' hands are in the game. if you look at the bridge fight, when he straightens out his back, you can see his hand covers up quite a lot of his back.
Really want more gamerverse figures, especially from the older games
My miles has a lot of paint imperfections too, but the figure itself with all the details on the suit look amazing.
A properly executed dumbbell joint can achieve everything that the hinged ball can do, with added head tilt to give the head more personality, (see most imports, Mezco One:12, where the head can move every which way). The problem is Hasbro continues to use a large ball joint at the top, with a small ball joint at the bottom of the dumbbell, when it should be reversed. A disc hinge ball joint is severely limiting.
THANK YOU. Everyone prefers the hinge but if done well a dumbbell joint works so much better, and looks so much better. It's about time someone said and explained this.

the gameverse looks so good compared to the mafex version. the suit texture on the gameverse suit just brings it to life, the mafex one looks too plain

Does anyone else think that Miles Morales' super hero persona should have different name than Spider-Man? He's a cool character. He should have his own unique title.
Yeah, I want him to have a different name. There's so many Spider people it sometimes gets confusing and there doesn't need to be 2 or more people with the same superhero name

It made perfect sense at the time as he was the Spider-man of the Ultimate Comics.
Now though since he's in 616 it's a little weird.
Honestly he should stay Spider-man because anything else is a demotion and I fear people won't pay attention to the character without the Spider-man name.
Sure we've seen cases where you remember your Nightwings, Red hoods, Oracles, and similar. And then there are characters to go into obscurity. Also he has the same powerset as Peter. If Jay Garrick/Barry Allen can borrow the Flash title from Wally West. I think we can have to visually distinct Spider-men.
The characters has had a major movie and plenty of Spider-man branding. It's just too late.

This is an example of what's wrong with comic book industry lately. Creators are impatient and lazy. They don't want to make a new character popular through hard work and good story telling. They want huge sales and a large fan base immediately, so they ride the coattails of an already established popular character. When Stan Lee and Steve Ditko created Spider-Man back in 1962, they took a chance and had no idea that the character would become so popular. They cultivated Spider-Man's greatness through good story telling. I remember an interview with Stan Lee where he said his editors told him a character patterned after a spider wouldn't make it. If a writer and artist wants to make an original character the toast of the comic industry, they should work for it, not trade out already popular characters so they have big numbers in sales and fans right out of the gate.
It's just hasbro implementation of the dumbell joint that is weird (wrong) that makes it doesn't work. If it's done correctly, not only it will look good but also works wonderfully. The movie shang-chi dumbell joint is probably the only good one so far, even though it's still upside-down. And, integrated suit Spidey is also close, but somehow, weirdly enough still has lollipop head, despite having a completely new mold. Because the upgraded suit one, either FFH or NWH one, they don't have lollipop head.
That Miles is actually from the Stilt Man wave not SPDR. Great figure, I'd argue the best Spiderman Hasbro has done. Not crazy about the shoulders not moving out that much but still, I get a big smirk looking at this masterpiece
Everything is perfect with this figure. Painting, textures, figure model is so accurate and so much extra parts like hands and cat i cant believe this is a legends figure

I'm actually shocked he loved it so much. I got mine in early last week and as I was trying to pose him around and all that, I kept thinking, man, shartimus is not going to like this figure lol. The dumbbell joint in the head did suck, but the fact that a shoulder is have very limited range between how high they can bend, and then how useless the butterfly joint is, I felt like it took away a lot of what this miles could probably have been able to do if it just had slightly better design in the shoulder area. I also really can't stand the ab crunch. I felt like it was a little too high in the figure, or that his stomach area was too long. And because of the way it is scaled, once he crunches forward, his logo looks super weird and cut off, and then the logo on the back looks so bad with just those two legs floating by themselves. I really think this figure would have solved this issue if it had a diagram pivot and bend and a lower ab crunch. Outside of that I loved a lot of stuff that I saw in this figure, and I could not be more excited to get the see-through version from gamestop which I pre-ordered a while back. There's still a lot to love about this figure, like you said, the sculpt is amazing, and the details and paint application are phenomenal. I didn't have any of the issues yours did for paint, but I agree that the hips get chewed a lot because we don't have the drop-down hips. Could you actually do a video where you list all the figures that have dropped down hips? Have a great one, dude, and I'm looking forward to your next videos!

this figure also looks odly accurate to the game normally they are not this perfect but it looks like it popped out of the game and was like "sup" kinda shocked how good it looks

Just opened mine after having it a fee weeks. Love the articulation on this figure would have liked a little more on his feet so i could pose him crouched but can't complain for the price point.

That cut at the neck has always been there. If you go back to the promotional images, you see that he has an ugly cut at his neck. Blew my mind that no one talked about it. I agree that they should go back to the hinge at the neck. I really don’t understand why they even went to the dumbell hinge as it offers less range and get really gappy when you hinge it up or down.

I picked this one up about a week ago at my local comic shop and I’m astounded at the sheer amount of defects on yours! Maybe I’m just lucky but mine has no paint defects on either head or the body

I like dumbbell neck joints better than disk hinge mainly because of the tilt you get outta the head. I don’t really post figures flying so the looking up isn’t that big to me. But getting attitude with the tilt is everything

I think the main thing throwing off the head sculpt is the skin tone. It should be a touch lighter. He’s not just African American he’s also Puerto Rican. Then the little details is the hair isn’t perfect around the ears, and the chin is a little wide.
They should rework the advance.suit too with these same detailing.

I think they new necks are way better! They move more naturally and look more natural I don’t need my action figure to be seamless, as long as when they’re posed they look great I don’t care. We don’t pose for the back majority of the time so it’s not that big of a deal for me. I prefer the new necks.
I've taken several photos of this figure and the hands are the perfect size.

Oh and two more spiderman villains that I think we could use is a will o the wisp figure and rocket racer because those two characters are members of the outlaw team witch happens to be sandman, silver sable, prowler and puma, if we can get a rocket racer figure and a will o the wisp figure we could have a complete hasbro marvel legends outlaw team.

Hey Shart! The double ball peg neck joint system is the best system for the neck imo. It provides all the range the hinge and ball peg does plus all the attitude articulation the hinge joint can’t... unless the head sits high on the neck and you get the so called lollipop syndrome which doesn't look the best. This Anthonyscustoms Rival Clans figure line video demonstrates here: ua-cam.com/video/aSzknyKuTOE/v-deo.html The thing with Hasbro and the Marvel Legends who've been incorporated this "new" double ball peg system is that they've been executed poorly, although they're getting better with it like with this new Miles Morales you just got done reviewing. Very nice figure btw. Look at one of their early attempts at this neck system with the retro Spider-Man. They had to cut an ugly slit on the back of the neck in order to get him to look up and then the head is practically off the body when it looks up. I don't understand why a multi-million dollar company like Hasbro doesn't get it right for so long or even on the first try. These are professional toy designers and manufacturers and I would be looking at competitors for research. Oh well, at least they seem to be going in the right direction. They haven't had to slit any more neck joints in the back to get their figure to look up at least ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I actually really like the dumbell neck joint. I get why people prefer the hinge but I am willing to sacrifice the crazy amount looking up for some head pivot. Head pivot should be must for Spider-Man. HOWEVER, I don't know why they made the neck a separate piece, that is really weird cause it can sometimes get very gappy and looks bad. Also don't get what happened with the shoulder and butterfly joints. They don't move as much as the older spiderman figures and it's weird. I have that issue with this Miles, Integrated Suit Spidey and the Walmart exclusive Upgraded suit Spidey. I can still make do with the amount it moves but it's a little bothersome
