The MAFEX version is supposed to be an adult version from a future timeline, appearing in Gwenpool #18
So, it’s a pretty damn good representation of the miles it’s based off (Gurihiru style)not every miles has to be a teenager

That sentinel Miles is one of my favorite figures.
Spider-Man has always been my favorite hero. But Miles is the one that got me into comics. Been a fan since day 1. Glad he’s getting the mainstream love he deserves.
I think that is what has been so great about Miles as a character - he has opened the door for so many new fans/readers!

Miles is how you do diversity correctly, he's taking on a mantle while the original is still allowed to be around and he's unique enough with his own problems to stand out on his own. He's become so distinct over the years and things like the PS5 game and Spider-Verse have definitely helped.
Great points. I am very much in favor of diversity - I think it is vital for society. But it turns people off if you just try to cram diverse characters down people's throat without anything behind it. Marvel has done an excellent job IMO recently with Kamala Khan, Miles, Robbie Reyes and others - including the continued development of Luke Cage. Keep telling good stories and and people will read/watch!

If the only thing about the character is that they're taking over an existing characters space with a "diverse" twist and barely have anything go wrong for them then it feels forced and lazy. At least with Miles and the characters you've mentioned they're either original, or bring something new to the table besides being some sort of tick box. A lot of people like diverse characters, but not when it's poorly done and then bad authors try to hide behind the diversity of the character. People from those groups deserve better than that, simple as.
The ML Into the Spiderverse line is hands down some of their best work

I wasn’t the biggest fan of Miles when he first appeared, I felt he was just brought in for the sake of diversity, but after seeing his portrayal in Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse and especially in the Insomniac games, I’ve come to love the guy.
I feel like he is a really well done character
You just summed up how most people felt about Miles when he first debuted. Unfortunately, some people still feel that way even though he’s been his own Spider-Man for a long time now.

I love miles ever since I was 11 when he was created but his comics have been so hit or miss like bendis was great for a while then they brought him into the 616 and it feels like they don’t know what to do with him. They took a great character and basically made the other Spider-Man you get when you can’t get the og

At 20:37, that was probably my favorite detail for his suit in the movie, but also in terms of action figures, ever since this Sentinel Figure released I've been curious about repainting it to be an Into the Spider-Verse styled teenage Peter (basically Ultimate Spider-Man).
Don't have the budget for it or the painting experience though lol

Miles was definitely a cool idea I was always on board with the idea what if another kid had to become spider man and take up the mantle
Miles has become a true icon - not easy to do when reinventing the most popular superhero is all time
I love this collection. I want to see mystery boxes for Spectacular Spider Man, Into the Spider-Verse, and the gamerverse, as well as Joker mystery box (like how you did Green Goblin and Batman) and do on all the Batman villains as well soon ok?
Miles Morales is very unique. My favorite take on Spider Man is the PS4/PS5 version.
I plan on being around for a long time, so I should get to all of that eventually!

I don't remember exactly how I met the character of Miles Morales, I think... Maybe it was because of the Ultimate Spider-Man animated series from 2012, when Miles made his appearance in the series in 2014 if I'm not mistaken with the date? Although I have a feeling I saw it before that, just randomly. Well, I was a kid back then.
As I said recently, when I was a kid and saw Miles, I thought "Oh well, the character exists. Another Spider-Man or ally," but later at that time I knew a little more about the character, where he came from and so on. And when 2018 arrived and Into the Spider Verse was released, I went to see that movie with my mother, my older brother and a friend, and that's when I began to become more interested in the character, until I became a fan. The fact that he is of African descent doesn't bother me, I see it as somewhat normal (Also, I haven't even seen people like that in real life and in fictional products). Miles Morales is one of my 4 favorite Marvel characters (Deadpool is in last place, Daredevil is in 2nd and Peter Parker takes 1st place. Miles is in 3rd place), I love him
