  • This 2013 Malibu has some secrets. It appears General Motors designers had a penchant for hidden storage compartments. Come along as we find all the little places to hide things. Also, channel update. I will give you guys the low down on the channel name change and what we have planned for the future!

      I know! Insane, isn't it? This car is long since sold but I do have a 2014 that I'm rehabbing in the near future and as a practice, I always put fresh bulbs in the headlights after I install them before the bumper goes on. Whatever GM engineer thought of this one needs a smack to the noggin!

      You can access headlamps bolts from underneath the vehicle. Don't necessarily have to remove the bumper.

    You missed 1. Open the drivers door the rounded triangle plastic trim next to the dash opens and there's a spot to hide things

      I installed hardwire kit for a dashcam and that is where I secured the voltage converter for the camera.

    I have a question. I have a 2013 Chevy Malibu and the buttons on the radio have like a delay when you push them. You push them and it takes a few seconds then volume will change or channel will change.

    • @resurrectionautorebuilders8465
      @resurrectionautorebuilders8465  2 роки тому +1

      How long of a delay do you think?

    • @lesliecarter8509
      @lesliecarter8509 2 роки тому +1

      @@resurrectionautorebuilders8465 less than a minute usually. If the screen on the radio is lit up it will delay but if the screen looks like radio is off, but it's playing, the volume won't delay. It delays with volume and changing stations. My temperature has always read over 100° even when it's cold. The delay just started in past few months.

    Question, did you get the body parts online!? If so where did you get them because I've hittin 2 deers in the front of my 2013 Chevy Malibu and I don't know which is the best site to get them from.

    • @resurrectionautorebuilders8465
      @resurrectionautorebuilders8465  2 роки тому +1

      I got everything but the front bumper at a U-pull junkyard. I found a complete new aftermarket bumper assembly on Facebook market place. Front bumpers are really hard to find in junkyards and if you do find one, they are usually wrecked. Your best bet for a complete bumper assembly is an auto salvager. I've used www.car-part.com to find parts from salvagers. I've ordered aftermarket parts for a 2014 Malibu that I'm working on now from both Ebay and Amazon. Those are my two "go to" places. I usually make a list and price out each part on both places and order the least expensive parts from both. Hope that helps.

    Hey,
    I have 2011 Chevy Impala LS. The problem I'm having is that it won't go in drive. It'll go in reverse as well as 1st & 2nd gear. I also noticed that when I hit 20 mph I can shift into drive and ride. I want to know, if I change the transmission solenoids would it fix my problem? A response will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

    • @resurrectionautorebuilders8465
      @resurrectionautorebuilders8465  3 роки тому +1

      Sorry I didn't see this earlier. It's not the solenoids. It's the drive bands. You'll need a rebuild at the very least and while they are in there have them update it to current specs. Easiest route would be to replace the trans with a remanufactured one. Will run you about $1600 for the trans. If you are at least remotely handy with tools and cars, you can easily do it yourself. Taking it out the bottom would be the best route.

      Thanks Radio Rescue. The mom thing was very stressful. Just thankful that it's over. We're going to try and make this thing legit. I'm looking at moving into newer vehicles. The upside is that there is usually some meat left on the bones and a lot of folks are looking for newer stuff. The downside is the lack of aftermarket parts and the price of dealer parts makes the price of rebuilding a bit higher. You just have to watch your margins.

    If you have weird power issues it's the 4 inch wire off the positive. Do not purchase another from chevy. Purchase 0 wire and have a new wire crimped for it.
