- OpenAI has once again rocked the AI world with its latest flagship model called GPT-4o. The new model can analyze and respond in real-time to video, audio and more. And best of all, it’s available for FREE, even to unpaid ChatGPT users.
As you can see from this video tutorial, all you have to do is select the model from the dropdown. If it’s not there just keep trying! GPT-4o will eventually show up. (I think)

REMINDER/UPDATE: 4o is still in limited release. It's not available in all countries. And no, you do not need to pay for a plus subscription. It's FREE.
I was just able to finally access 4o via my UNPAID account. When I logged in, this time it asked me if I wanted to try 4o. I said yes, and it took me to 4o.
You might also be able to access 4o by adding this to the url: "?model=gpt-4o". But YMMV.

To be fair, even the LLM itself is ambivalent about the update. What we want are the capabilities we've seen on the OpenAI UA-cam channel with the speech-to-speech features. When prompted, the model does not distinguish between "4o" and "4.0," as in Chat-GPT 4.0, not the 4o capabilities we've come to expect.
This isn't entirely your fault, but you should take the video down until they (Open AI) deliver on their promises and you can make a video that meets our expectations.
I have only a free 3.5 account, and for a second day I am now getting to use the 4o version, but only for a limited number of posts - about 10 I guess.

Did you watch the video? I had access on my paid plus account. It wasn't showing up on my free account, though. It's very limited at the moment.
