Once I asked Gemini about Pixel phone and got wrong technical information. At that point I understood how Gemini is unfinished product. Even in presentation Google people were talking about unknown terminology without clear demonstration. ChatGPT's was perfect.
Thanks for all your great videos. This video really shows how far behind Gemini really is compared to the competition, I can't believe they charge a monthly fee for this.

I use both Gemini advanced and GPT 4o for a lot of things including coding, and seems like the conclusion of this video is very accurate. Gemini is lazy most of the time giving short answers and a lot of times isn't right either. While GPT4o may also be wrong sometimes, but overall it's the more accurate and more detailed too. This applies to both the app and browser version.
Yeah Gemini is way less smart than GPT 4 and Copilot. I honestly never use Gemini over Copilot because Gemini is just way dumber. It doesn't code/program good or anything. I find GPT 4 and Copilot miles ahead. Google needs to step it up.
I use the free version of Gemini and it gave me very good answers for all of the questions you asked. Not sure if your video is old or the paid version is weird (which will be helaious). based on my experience tho, free version of Gemini is much better than chatGPT
why dont you test it if you want to know and make a video? they cost what, 20 bucks each? ask it similar questions " Claude 3 Opus, our most intelligent model €18/month + VAT "
There are many ways to calculate the 6:02 problem depending on scene perception. Just a couple: two earbuds = 10 | guy = 5 | watch = 4 one earbud 5 + ( guy with two earbuds (10+5) * watch 4 ) = 65 >> best answer from my perspective one earbud 5 + ( just a guy 5 * watch 4 ) = 25 >> can we ignore the earbuds on the guy ? May be? This considering that multiplication has precedence over addition. Parenthesis were added to clarify precedence.
Would love to see that test. Copilot quality collapsed after they “upgraded” to GPT 4 Turbo, I find it useless now while for over a year it was the best, because it could also search the web and incorporate those results.
I'm very happy that you made a new video with this topic again with premium models. Also, I couldn't find the old video on your channel where you compared the GPT 4o to the free regular Gemini AI. Kudos to you mate 👏
copilot is using normal GPT4 right now which is less capable than gpt4o but copilot is soon getting an upcoming update with the new upcoming AI version of windows and will also use Gpt 4o as base. still even Normal Gpt 4 is better than gemini 1.5 pro
I too experience it the same way. Many times I try to use gemini, but her replies make me come back to chatgpt again. Both models are in their early forms, but chatgpt indeed feels more user friendly.
Yes, ChatGPT is way better than Gemini. I am using both to learn Machine Learning and ChatGPT is superb at giving detailed answers and identifying errors in our code compared to Gemini. Surprisingly, ChatGPT identifies and corrects errors in code generated by Gemini, even when Gemini fails to recognize the mistakes in its own code.
GPT 4o has helped me a ton. So far, just formatting data has been super helpful and it understands what I want much better than before. It's amazing that it's going free.
i did my own comparison by integrating them into my product development workflow. This includes product concept design, marketing, frontend dev (flutter), backend api dev (python and fastapi), postgres data modelling, and more. Gemini very quickly fell to pieces once i started using it deeply. It wouldn’t fully understand the request, it wouldn’t remember ways i previously asked it to answer me going forward, and downright got answers very wrong even when it needed to search the net for answers (as it would refer to very outdated online articles). My backend runs in GCP, but gemini - at least right now - is so far behind and wrong so often, i just have to go with OpenAI for my systems AI features. If we freeze ChatGPTs dev in time, i’d put Google at least a year behind them. But that’s the thing, OpenAI is improving at an incredible rate.
ChatGPT excels in natural language processing, offering unparalleled conversational intelligence. Google Gemini stands out in solving complex mathematical problems with precision and efficiency. எண்ணென்ப ஏனை எழுத்தென்ப இவ்விரண்டும் கண்ணென்ப வாழும் உயிர்க்கு.
Yeah, Gemini is really funky. I can't even get it to consistently set alarms or timers as sometimes it claims I need to upgrade my plan, sometimes it says I need a separate app and sometimes it just works. It also requires additional information quite often when no more info should be necessary. It seems really dependent on phrasing and if you don't get it right it just doesn't work.
To be fair, it is a video, if that's what you asked it what it is, it got it right (Gemini), but if your prompt was which of these two cars is better I'm sure it would come up with something more like ChatGPT's answer
I put in 500 lines of VBA code in both asking to tune… Gemini didn’t not work, it commented out lines of code it didn’t think was needed and ruined the database function, ChatGPT was incredibly perfect and shrunk it down to 114 lines. ChatGPT4o for the win for MS 365 developers.
I had exactly the opposite experience with the two products. Google Gemini was able to tell me the exact location of a black and white photo from 1940, calculate a polygon based on a photo and description, while ChatGPT couldn't even begin to understand Gemini's approach at first.
its such a shame that Google cant fix this. it shows that there time as a powerhouse tech company is coming to an end. Gemini totally messed up googe assistant too.
I'm an engineering student. And for daily tasks I use Gemini advanced. But for complex mathematical or logical problems, coding etc... Chatgpt 3.5 is decades ahead of Gemini Advanced.
Pretty sure the pedal meme was about not getting the pedal dirty rather than the shoe because the driver loves his car so much he cleaned it to perfection inside and out
Gemini answered right its 21. Person = 5. 1 earphone= 5 1 watch = 1. Final line: 1 ep + 1 person with 2 ep and 1 watch multiply by 1 watch => 5+(5+10+1) *1 = 21
Thanks for this review video very good comparison. I was pondering to sign up for ChatGPT 4o or Gemini Advanced until your this video helped me make the right decision that ChatGPT 4o is the one to go with! 🎉👍🏻
trying fanta + stick gemini.. The image you described is a pun. It plays on the word "orange," which can refer to both the fruit and the color. Here's how the pun works: "You are" is the setup for the comparison. "fanta" is a brand of orange soda. "orange" is the word that connects the two parts of the pun. "a stick" is a visual representation of the word "orange" as a color. So, the full sentence is: "You are Fanta orange (a stick)." This means that you are as orange as a stick. It's a humorous way to say that someone is very orange, perhaps from eating or drinking too much orange-flavored food or drink.
ChatGPT's voice sounds less harsh compared to Gemini's. It almost sounds like they used two different microphones to capture the voices. I have to lower the volume to listen to Gemini's voice.
Very interesting. Who would have thought that Google with such a massive data pool to begin with would get it so wrong. I've tried regular free versions of the AI's. Must say now I get why every time in an instruction/request/inquiry with Gemini, I have tease out the info I am looking for with multiple addition inputs post the initial request even when I would have entered the info in first place. ChatGP works perfectly with large initial instructions/inquiry.
But one point was true, its not save to drive without shoes and especially if you let the other shoe there, right in front of the pedal. If you need to hit the brakes very hard you foot can broke without shoes and the shoe can get behind the pedals and stopping you from hitting the brakes
why is it very limited? google should be cutting edge of technology. google has infinite resources and talent, brainpower. excuses. also why china isn't the cutting edge of AI, since it has practically infinite data on its citizens?
Gemini on the phone isn't the next Gemini experience. For that try AI studio or Gemini advanced on pc. The version on the phone is tuned to give short answers and has a high refusal rate.
Gemini is not ready for human consumption imo. I think Google rushed it out the door as a knee-jerk response to GPTs growing dominance. Should Google be worried - most definitely - GPTo is literally years ahead.
I think Google wants you to look it up yourself indeed such that it does not undermine its own revenue model: showing us ads in the search engine results page. I have both Gemini Advanced and Chat GPT 4o and noticed that Gemini is really useful for providing video scripts and responding to emails more naturally right off the bat (without too much prompt engineering). GPT4o shines when it comes to complex reasoning.

I just went from ChatGpt 4o to gemini 1.5 pro. Regretted it instantly. Gemini is very dumb compared to Gpt 4o
Then why did you switch
@@kingrobert7246 Because GPT 4o was also too dumb for my needs. I thought Gemini would be better but it wasn't. Then GPT o1 came along.
@@gani2an1 and gpt o1 is dumb or not?
@@kingrobert7246 least dumb
@@gani2an1 have you tried any other chat bots? Is chatgpt 4o the best?
This is very interesting, I took screenshots of the examples and uploaded them to Gemini, responses were completely different, however there is no justification for answers in the video to be incorrect. Also from my personal observation, after rollout of Gemini 1.5 the responses did become shorter and less informative which is quite sad
6:00 actually it's not 15, the correct answer is 39
How could it be 39
Oh wait the person is wearing the earphones and the watch sorry I didn't notice
Yeah I counted it now with that in mind and yea the answer is 39
Its 156
sorry, but why is it 39? I count 24: One EarPod (5) + Person (5) with two earpods (10) and with one smart watch (2) Plus one smart watch (2). 5 + (5+10+2) + 2 = 5 + 17 + 2 = 24. Am I wrong?
Gemini is like the home tutor whom we pay to solve problems but instead he tells "Do it yourself"
I think it's important to note that this is only testing scenarios where the input is an image. The general intelligence of the LLMs might be different in text-only conversations.
I thought google was trolling for a second with that "21" answer. Like that decade old 'What's 9 + 10?' meme.
Considering that it's trained on human data... It's not unreasonable to believe that _some_ of that answer can be attributed to the existence of that meme.
Google paid Reddit $60 million to train their AI on Reddit user comments. That cesspool is full of trolls and fake info. It's no surprise that the Google AI is shit.
Another amazing video! Looking forward to a series based on this, and with the upcoming "Siri improvement" rumors we keep hearing about. Well done!
Even though ur a Google fan, u keep it very honest n real. This is very bad for Google. Especially if Apple gets ChatGPT to run Siri or whatever. I use both platforms this can reverse the idea that pixel is the smartest phone n iPhone is pretty dumb.
I wish they integerate gemini with google assistant, because it feels like such a missed opportunity!
Gemini seems like a student rewriting a question as the answer!
Fr fr. Lol
Oddly enough, and it may just be my experience so far, but i have been trying both for odds and ends in my business and 70% of the time Gemini has been giving me better answers. I use mine mostly for research, which might be why.
Yeah Gemini is somtimes just straight up stupid (sadly) and I'm only using it, because I got 2 month Gemini Advanced for free 😂
How did u get it for free
@@nuskyahmad6375 I got it because I was previously subscribed to Google One, but I already know I'll cancel after the 2 month and return to my previews plan.
I think the driving situation could be quite unsafe, but not for the reason stated by Gemini, more like if the car decelerates quickly, the shoe could slide in under the brake pedal, preventing the brakes from being applied fully.
Gemini = Quick Maths! Ain't correct, but DAMN is it quick! 😂
I will subscribe to this channel just because it said the answer in the beginning. No bullshit! I liked it
What a great video👍🏻 Was a pleasure to watch
I use the free version of Gemini and it gave me very good answers for all of the questions you asked. Not sure if your video is old or the paid version is weird (which will be helaious). based on my experience tho, free version of Gemini is much better than chatGPT
What do you use AI for? I’m curious, I’m a community AI researcher for openAI I want to know where ChatGPT could possibly lack
Can you test ChatGPT-4o vs Claude AI?
Claude is cringy and dumb af
why dont you test it if you want to know and make a video? they cost what, 20 bucks each? ask it similar questions
" Claude 3 Opus, our most intelligent model €18/month + VAT "
There are many ways to calculate the 6:02 problem depending on scene perception. Just a couple:
two earbuds = 10 | guy = 5 | watch = 4
one earbud 5 + ( guy with two earbuds (10+5) * watch 4 ) = 65 >> best answer from my perspective
one earbud 5 + ( just a guy 5 * watch 4 ) = 25 >> can we ignore the earbuds on the guy ? May be?
This considering that multiplication has precedence over addition. Parenthesis were added to clarify precedence.
Can you test GPT vs Gemini vs copilot ?
Copilot is built on GPT-4, though it's not GPT-4o
Would love to see that test. Copilot quality collapsed after they “upgraded” to GPT 4 Turbo, I find it useless now while for over a year it was the best, because it could also search the web and incorporate those results.
@jamesdax yea but with the upcoming Ai windows update
I'm very happy that you made a new video with this topic again with premium models. Also, I couldn't find the old video on your channel where you compared the GPT 4o to the free regular Gemini AI. Kudos to you mate 👏
Great work. Keep it up please.
also please do comparison test between Gpt 4o vs co pilot... any differences?
copilot is using normal GPT4 right now which is less capable than gpt4o but copilot is soon getting an upcoming update with the new upcoming AI version of windows and will also use Gpt 4o as base. still even Normal Gpt 4 is better than gemini 1.5 pro
I too experience it the same way. Many times I try to use gemini, but her replies make me come back to chatgpt again. Both models are in their early forms, but chatgpt indeed feels more user friendly.
"Only a few will understand what's going on here". What if we all don't understand and it's Gemini that gets this highly sophisticated joke?
Great review with great examples. Please continue to do reviews of different models like this.
شكرا لك على المقارنة المنصفه كـ عادتك بدون تحيز وايضا فيديو جديد بالفكرة ❤😊
Yes, ChatGPT is way better than Gemini. I am using both to learn Machine Learning and ChatGPT is superb at giving detailed answers and identifying errors in our code compared to Gemini. Surprisingly, ChatGPT identifies and corrects errors in code generated by Gemini, even when Gemini fails to recognize the mistakes in its own code.
And I replaced my Google assistant with gemini... I need help😫🙏
I would disable Gemini
Never thought someone could beat Google in AI game and that too by a big margin. Great job Open AI.
I will cancel Gemini Advanced.
GPT 4o has helped me a ton. So far, just formatting data has been super helpful and it understands what I want much better than before.
It's amazing that it's going free.
Gemini is Bing 😂😂
Bing's copilot is the same chat gpt
i did my own comparison by integrating them into my product development workflow.
This is why I cancelled Gemini
the test that chatgpt failed correct version was like Watch = 4, Person = 5, Airpod = 10, so
10 + 5 * 4 = 10 + 20 = 30
ChatGPT excels in natural language processing, offering unparalleled conversational intelligence.
Google Gemini stands out in solving complex mathematical problems with precision and efficiency.
எண்ணென்ப ஏனை எழுத்தென்ப இவ்விரண்டும்
கண்ணென்ப வாழும் உயிர்க்கு.
But it got the math question wrong?
Gemini is even worse at maths actually. Lol
Summary: ChatGPT is too chatty, and Gemini too blunt.
Oh boy! I felt your pain of Gemini responding with just '21' 😂
Gemini can watch the video now.
2:40 LOL, telling you what you need to know, versus "it's a video, maybe you should play it" - how 2D of Gemini
It would be also interesting how both tools perform in data analysis tasks dealing with plots, data frames and with scientific publications
FYI: The answer at 6:04 is 39 (Notice the person is wearing a set of AirPods and a watch) 😉
Beautiful comparison! Best channel for all things Pixel.
And this is the perfect sample why competition is so important
Comparing GPT4o with Gemini is like comparing Einstein with a dog
Pretty sure the pedal meme was about not getting the pedal dirty rather than the shoe because the driver loves his car so much he cleaned it to perfection inside and out
Gemini answered right its 21.
Person = 5.
1 earphone= 5
1 watch = 1.
Final line:
1 ep + 1 person with 2 ep and 1 watch multiply by 1 watch => 5+(5+10+1) *1 = 21
Here's how the pun works:
"You are" is the setup for the comparison.
Chat GPT helps me alot in solving my problems .❤❤❤❤
It's my best friend . ❤
Amazing video it really shows how drastically far ahead openAI is of its conpetitors
"Okay, but that 'driving while wearing socks is dangerous'... that's quite true!" 🙂✌️
But one point was true, its not save to drive without shoes and especially if you let the other shoe there, right in front of the pedal. If you need to hit the brakes very hard you foot can broke without shoes and the shoe can get behind the pedals and stopping you from hitting the brakes
5:44 Wrong, the person in last row is wearing two pods in his ears. 😋
So the correct answer = 5 + (5+10) x 2 = 35
Also wrong, it is 39 ! The person wears also 2 value smartwatch!
6:07 Answer should be 39 because if you zoom the photo the men is using earphones and wearing watch so the equation should be
5 + (10+5+2)2 = 39
it's mostly about tuning. Gemini on the phone is very limited for now
why is it very limited? google should be cutting edge of technology. google has infinite resources and talent, brainpower.
excuses.
also why china isn't the cutting edge of AI, since it has practically infinite data on its citizens?
Gemini on the phone isn't the next Gemini experience. For that try AI studio or Gemini advanced on pc. The version on the phone is tuned to give short answers and has a high refusal rate.
Gemini is not ready for human consumption imo. I think Google rushed it out the door as a knee-jerk response to GPTs growing dominance. Should Google be worried - most definitely - GPTo is literally years ahead.
"It looks like gemini hallucinated on this one" that got me 😂
I’m half way through a Gemini course. Think I’ll give up.
GPT4o shines when it comes to complex reasoning.
people are starting to use chatgpt as a search engine, and we haven't even talked about Bing with Copilot. Sounds like a stupid idea to me
GPT: gives the answer.
Gemini: *rolls his eyes
Thank you for the video. I just cancelled my 2 months free subscription of Gemini. I will subscribe to ChatGpt now.
5:15 My chatgpt answer is
final calculation based on whether the earphones and watch are included with the person.
If it is not included answer is 15
Else
Answer is 39
I was going to say that comparing to Gemini Flash would be a fair comparison, but this was already savage with Gemini Pro 🤯
